tivizen pico DVBt & USB Host Modus - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I bought one for my S3 Tivizen PICO DVBT receiver.
On Samsung S3 it works.
He does not work on the Xoom though I EOS 4.1.1 on the Xoom and have USB sticks works mount.
The problem is the DVBT part is plugged directly into the micro USB and at the moment of infecting probably a startup file on the part says that the corresponding APP opens. That is not what happened and thus no DVBT.
On the Samsung S3 but goes perfectly.
This has a real USB host mode.
EOS have 4.1.1 on the Xoom
Sorry for my english I'm German

Yeah, i have the same problem. Now i try back to original ICS, maybe this ROM will be better...

[Q] Connecting a keyboard and 3g stick to a hannspree sn10t1 tablet

I have a hannspree sn10t1 tablet.
The tablet does not have a usb port but does have a miniUSB port.
So i wanted to connect a keyboard to it ( i got a tablet case with a keyboard in it) and got a usb adapter as well.
But it seems its not working.
At fist i thought that the adapter was defective, but i got a second one and it still does not work.
What can i do?
I tried connecting different stuff on the sub adapter and it does not show anywhere anything pointing out that there is something on usb connected.
I want to use a 3g stick as well.
What is wrong ?
Is it the software or the hardware?
Same problem
Hi,
I have the same problem.
Did you manage to get this sorted?
Thanks
James

[Q] samsung usb connection kit proble

Iam using N 8010 with xxblj9 German JB firmware on it.
Recently i purchased Samsung USB connection kit ,when i tried usb and card reader its getting connected ,opening
my files ,then getting disconnected showing message USB unexpectedly removed.
Is this because of the firmware not supported or problem with usb connection kit?
Mathew
Unplug your device.
Download the latest version of Kies and install it.
Try again.
Turn USB debugging off if that doesn't work.
I can't say how close the 8010 is to the 8000 but I would assume that they would be much the same except for the 3g...
Anyway, I have a usb connector, 3rd party i found on ebay for around $10. It works fine with my usb sticks, not for anything that requires power, HDD and playstation controllers... I use a 32gb thumbdrive in it and can use it to read/write data to and from it with no errors... The one I got also has an sd card reader in it too and that works fine also...
Not sure what could be wrong with yours but would suggest going to store, playing with demo model and trying again... This will rule out the usb hub as the culprit or point the finger....

Are you on stock Jelly Bean.
This happens to me only with jelly bean,i tried on ICS ,works perfectly.
So i reckon the problem is with Jelly bean OS and this could be bcz im using German firmware which is for N8000.
Mine is N8010 ,this could be the reason.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I will look forward for original N8010 JB release, hope that would be ok for the USB Kit.

Will the Samsung EPL-1PL0BEGXAR USB Connection Kit labeled for the Tab 10.1 work on a stock Note 10.1 (8013)?
yes it should all tab have the same connector, the connector has not much to do only certain pins combination change which give different functions
What I mean the connector itself is an passive device not an active device its like connecting the correct sequence of cable to complete the circuit, once it does that its up to the device and connecting device to communicate

[Q] USB Connection Kit

Hi Everyone,
I just picked upo the Samsung USB Connection Kit Plus to mount SD cards and USB sticks/drives to my Galaxy note 10.1 (N8010). I'm having an issue with this connection kit, it keeps mounting and immediately dismounting my media. It will mount just long enough for me to breifly see the list of files that are on my media and then unmount again. Is there a compatibility issue, whether it's an issue with the N8010 note, or incompatibility with the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware that I have on the device? Some other setting that might be interfering (I disabled USB debugging)? The media I have tried so far are all formatted as FAT32.
If anyone has any advice on how I could remedy this issue, it would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Nick
Faulty cable, adapter or even usb drive
Are you connecting a hard drive or pen drive, it wont support a hard drive.
If you are having the problem with usb drive then there may be an issue with the connector or pen drive check whether the pen drive works on your laptop if that is the case then for sure the connector is faulty get it replaced. Would be surprised if it does not work bec i get the cheap ones for 1.5 dollar which work great
Figured it out, kinda
So I took the connection kit back to the store and plugged it into a new Note 10.1 (8010 wifi, with stock 4.04 ICS), and it worked without issue. It looks like the connection kit either doesn't like Jelly Bean, or the fact that I have the N8000 firmware loaded onto my N8010 device. Will try the German version of the N8010 firmware to see if it works. If anyone could confirm that the connection kit works with JB it would be greatly appreciated!

USB OTG stopped working

hey guys,
got my wonderful note 10.1 on christmas, some days afterwards I ordered an adapter from amazon.
well, it worked for the first 10-20 tries, but then my note doesnt recognize anything. neither the stupid adapter, nor usb-sticks or controller.
Just wondering if somebody have the same problem
I was on the german JB FW, yesterday I updated to taiwanese/chinese JB, but it still wont work.
And is it true that the note 10.1 has a special security ciruit so too powerful devices wont work?
Cause I tried my 2.5 hdd on the note, it recogniced it as a high-powered device and wont be used. (of course crap, I know)
then I tried the hdd on my galaxy s3 and it got powered. So, what did samsung ****ed up with the note 10.1.
Is some part inside faulty for this crap, or did they messed up otg with the latest jb update?? Or ist my adapter just broken?
cheers guys, I hope for response^^

My otg worked on ics, not the best (cheap one from amazon) but worked. I updated to the german 4.1.2 and it connects then disconnects right away. Wont stay connected for more then 2 seconds. I have read about otg problems with JB but thennothers say it works fine on JB. Im lost
sent from my jelly bean infused note 10.1
USB OTG stops responding 4.2.1
Ok here is what I have found on this, I find that the first time I connect a USB Device to my Tablet after a Fresh Boot, it works Normally.
However Often times once the remove the USB OTG cable I will often loose the ability to have devices Recognized again. Also if at anytime while plunging in or un-plugin the the cables the Device sometimes says that it sees a High power device (not sure if this is caused by a short or what) but if this happens I loose all ability for devices to be recognized.
The Two things i have found that Fix this issue are.
ONE: Restart the Tablet.
Two: Un-mount and Re-mount the SD Card.
This looks to be like a issue how the new JB software and the driver for the 30pin slot. hopefully Samsung will address this issue with a hotfix or when they update to 4.2.2
In the mean time i hope this helps.

[Q] WiFi Adapter for TAB 2

Hey All,
I have an external wifi adapter, Atheros AR9271. I have seen someone on YouTube use this wifi adapter with a Samsung Galaxy S2 so I hoped my Tab would recognise it as well. I can't get it to recognise it though, I have linux deploy and in linux if you do lsusb you can see the AR9271 as a USB device but not a wifi adapter, I have also tried it in a powered hub and by butchering a power cable for a more direct approach but still nothing.
Does anyone know how I can make the TAB 2 recognise the AR9271?
This is the first time I have ever rooted an android device or used linux so go easy on me
Also should probably have mentioned, its the 7" Tab 2 P3110 Android 4.2.2
