Hey guys I have a issue with my surface already. As you can tell from the title, I can no longer swipe in from the left hand side..therefore I can't switch between the various applications I have open. Swiping from every other side works fine. Even when I rotate the tablet, no matter which direction, I cannot swipe In from the left.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you somehow turned off app switching in settings, general, app switching. Try turning that back on.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I checked this setting after reading your reply and it is on. I got frustrated and hit the windows button 10 to 15 times and it started working again

I am using nscollab latest, I have one annoyance, and I can't figure it it. My problem is when I am talking on the phone and I take the phone away fyom my face it vibrates twice, I turned off all haptic feedback options but it still does it. I tried to post this in nscollabs posting in android development but I can't because I'm a new user. If anyone has an answer on how I can fix this that would be great.

Are you using any proximity sensor app such as "Sanity" or somthing like that ?
Also go to the "Dialer"-->"Preferences" and make sure "haptiv feedback" is checked off.
And, go to "Cyanogen Settings" and make sure that at "input settings"-->"Haptic feedback tweeks" the option "Haptic feedback main" is checked off
I tried disabling all settings to no avail. I do not know what the cause was but I switched to CM 36

You may have to disable some settings under - Settings- Call Settings- Vibrate every 45 seconds?
or
Always use proximity.
Hope that helps

This app uses your phone's motion, gravity, and proximity sensors to automatically turn on and off your screen so that you don't have to press any keys (software or hardware).
For instance, when I put my S4 inside my pocket or holster it to my belt clip, the screen turns off automatically. When I take the phone out, the screen turns on automatically as well.
I've tried a few apps similar to this before but this one just works very well and consistently.
I already installed it on my mom's and wifey's S2s and they love it too~! Just wanted to share the goodness~
Wow it is pretty impressive! Thanks for sharing. .

No problem. I figured there must be others who will find this kind of app convenient to have around. I just love not having to press the home or power button every time I want to turn the screen on.
Any hit on battery performance?

The author of the app said to expect a hit about 5%. I've been using it for 2 days now and I haven't noticed any difference so far. But then, I'm running on the ktoonsez kernel with -50mV, all-around.
Freekin love this app
Thanks for the heads up op! works like a charm, now I've got to get used to not pressing my power key on wake
****'ll Buff Out
Sweet app....I noticed I had to lower the sensitivity while my phone was in my mount while driving. The screen kept coming on.
Nice catch. Love this app.
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thanks for the find!

Very nice find, bought the pro version right away, this is awesome but does anyone knows if there's something you can do so when you put your phone face up on the table it lock it without waiting 5 secs?

The only time the screen turns off on me when I don't want it to is when I text and I accidentally rest one of my fingers over the proximity sensor by mistake. Otherwise, it's been good. I wish there was a time-delay option for proximity sensor to turn off the screen so an accidental finger covering up the proximity sensor doesn't turn off the screen right away.

I see. It's an extra step but you could pull down the notification menu and pause the app before gaming then turn it back on afterwards. My mom tells me that sometimes when she's watching Netflix, the screen turns off on her. I told her not to cover up the sensor but she just disabled the app.

No. I got 4x for 16 seconds in 12 hours. But for as awesome as this app is I can live with a 5% hit any day!!

Thanks! This fits the bill, the other drivers on the road thanks you too!
According to GSam battery monitor, Gravity Screen Off is responsible for only 0.2% battery drain. I haven't noticed any extra drain because of this app.
Not sure if I just haven't found the option yet but can we extend how long the notification light blinks after a missed call, text etc? It seems like it may only flash for 5 or 10 minutes. I know it seems like not that big of a deal but I would like to know a way to change it. I'm dispatched for work through text so not having to constantly pick up my phone to see if I have a missed call or text would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
I think this is the 1 issue with the phone that baffles me. Such a great device, but such a strange setting by HTC.

I know. Such a stupid little thing but it drives me nuts.
Well after some more homework it sounds like this has been going on for a lot of HTC phones. This is my first one.Is there an app or something that can bypass this 5 minute timeout? I'm assuming it's probably something I would have to be rooted for since apps like liteflow don't seem to work. Any help is appreciated.

Light Flow has a "HTC alternative direct mode", and it states "Phones such as the latest HTC One control the LED differently when running in Direct Mode. This option should enable flashing the LED." Granted... I am unsure if you need root for that option. Same with Direct Mode. Only option I am sure that needs Root is, well, Root mode, lol.
Sadly this is all I can think of that might help you, sorry.
You can get lightflow to work this thread in the regular M8 forum kinda lays out how to do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719073

Thanks man but I don't think this will bypass the 5 minute HTC timeout.
It does for me. You just have to set the light to never time out was going for about 8 10 minutes before I noticed it was blinking sounds off its about bed time

I am an EXTREME NEWBIE, so please excuse me if I am posting this wrong but my touch screen is totally dead from the very top to about 2 inches down, I have to turn my phone sideways to get to hit any of the icons.... etc, also it has a mind of its own and the screen will start flipping out and hits buttons, will launch apps and look up stuff on my browser, just plain go crazy! Then it will start working again. I never know when it's going to start acting up again. Never been rooted or anything, In my stupidity, I took the ota update so it's on the 20u update.

well your not the first to experience this. Please do a little search on XDA you'll find several posts regarding this.
Kasvinda, With all respect to you and forgive me for the error in my question. In your wisdom, will you be so kind as to help me out and point me in the right direction, I am a fast learner & I WILL PICK UP ON ALL THE RULES VERY QUICKLY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

HAHA good .. So this happened after you getting the 20u update? Anyway assuming that its a software issue perform a factory reset. This is the universal solution for anything and its the easiest. So do it and see
Tried that, even tried updating the touch screen in the service menu, it's never been rooted, straight stock att firmware, out of the box, about 3 months old, I m gonna send it back under the warranty. I do have a t mobile in the box, a T-Mobile G1 by htc i think, and a htc hero200 ,still in the box. Original condition.

Thats unlucky hopefully you'll get it replaced
anyone else have an issue where when in dialer and they press the button to go to the number screen they have to press it twice. Everytime I press it, it opens a blank screen and I have to back out then press it again to make the numbers appear. This is between 2 nexus 5's now. My replacement does the same thing. I thought it was a glitch from romming my phone but since google sent me my new one it does it to on stock rooted rom.
Also When I unplug my headset it goes straight to speaker mode and I have to press the button twice to turn it off. Also between 2 phones.
Just want to know if this is an issue for most or just me, and it would be weird its happening with both phones. Thanks
Yes mine does it too. Annoying bug for sure.

That explains it because I always disable animations. Thanks.
