CM 10.1 Bug - Gmail Vibrates - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi all -
I am currently on the 12/21 unofficial CM 10.1 by mastamoon. I am using the 12/12 gapps, and did a complete wipe before switching to CM 10.1.
Just about everything that I need is working fine except for one annoying bug. Gmail is vibrating for every email that comes in, no matter what settings I try. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just a fluke with something that I have set somewhere?

are you having any data issues? and can you post a link as to wehre you downloaded your mod? I really want to try this out but im scared that my data will go out.

I am not seeing any data issues. Make sure you read up and do a good job wiping first! Good luck!

Will do! and one more thing I would like to ask. Have you tested and tried to see if group messaging is working properly?

MIUI.us warning for latest version

Don't flash the latest miui.us version from ROM manager. I just flashed it and there's no keyboard. Can't input text to sign in or do anything!
This is not development. You could of just posted that in a existing MIUI thread.

Thanks for that helpful advice. I chose to post here where someone might see it easier and save themselves the aggravation that I'm now going through. I knew that I would hear from a forum snob but if I save someone from flashing then its all good .
What's aggravating about just restoring your recent backup?

It's not a advice, it's a forum rule.

This has nothing to do with development. It's your personal comment. What if someone else that has used ROM Manager and updated successfully? You never confirmed with anybody else. You would do this by posting in a existing MIUI thread (preferrably the one you downloaded the ROM from)

There should be a rule on ignorantly posting spam about someone's thread. I'm sure there is a way to report a thread if you are so inclined.
Furthermore MIUI.us often has issues. They don't just translate, they change **** up. I've flashed them plenty of times before with differences that shouldn't happen. I always use MIUI Android. Made by UK but its exactly the same language wise and they don't change anything; they just translate it, deodex and what have you.

Bingo! This is not development at all. Thread moved and closed.

Samsung Captivate running teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Captivate (BUILD 14)

Hey guys,
I installed this ROM last week and the only problem I noticed is that the camera force closes when I try to record video. Does anyone know if build 15 fixes this problem? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to all of this ROM-stuff and I did not want to jeopardize my current installation and install the new build only to find out that it doesn't help fix this problem.
Or if anyone has a workaround, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!
You may have better luck asking in the corresponding ROM's thread.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried, but I have less than 10 posts and it won't let me.
1. this is general...not q&a where questions belong
2. there is a sticky in said q&a section for that rom, and you don't need 10 posts to post there.

[Q] Revolution 6.3.1 Market issues

I recently flashed AR 6.3.1 without any issues during the process and now when I go into the market to install apps, I receive an error that I have insuffencient space. I have checked my internal storage and I have almost 1GB of free space. I have 5GBs free on my sd card.
Anyone else experiencing this?

The ROM Q&A's are not there just for show. Questions that pertain to a specific ROM should be posted in their respective Q&A thread. It may seem stupid to you but if everyone started a new thread for their specific ROM questions, there would be a new thread every 5 minutes, so you kinda see how that could get a chaotic.
To answer your question though, I would try clearing the data for the Market and rebooting and see if that helps. Any time I've ever had problems with the Market clearing data and rebooting has been the work around, if it wasn't it had something to do with a bad sync or bad flash.
I apologize for the missed placed post. Still fairly new to this site. I post my question in the Revolution Q&A. Thanks.

No need for apologies man but the AR Q&A will probably get you a better concentrated audience and you're more likely to find someone in there that has/had the same issue and knows a solution. Just tryin to get ya in the right place with the best chance of solving your issue! good luck!!
Go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvic cache reboot and enjoy!

That worked. Thanks

[Q] Charge phone while flashing

I was wondering if it is okay to charge your phone while you are flashing roms???
I do it all the time to be sure my battery won't run down too much. I've never had an issue with doing this. I seem to remember a post somewhere that recommended against it but I don't remember why.

I don't know if it's bad but I personally do it all day long, testing and flashing with phone plugged in, always have with all my phones, could be bad though, but I've never encountered anything.

Thanks. I've been doing it also, but like you I vaguely remember something about it not being good... Keep on flashing.

Need to get back to FACTORY

Sorry I post this again, the other one is under GENERAL and I don't think the genius will answer there.
I reverted from CM 10 alpha 4 to 2.3.6 KPE and then to KPQ using the stock roms. This should restore all as if came from factory?
I ask this because I have many problems that I can't solve.
1.- UIDs on the system are inconsistent ....
2.- The application facebook (process com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly...
3.- The application google search (proces com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox) has stopped unexpectedly..
4.- Can't download apps from the market
Can anyone explain me a little bit more please? Is there any way to have my phone like factory?
Thanks in advance!
I've faced a similar problem once before and wiping the dalvik cache solved it. However this suggestion comes with the caveat that I'm not really an expert and myself chanced on this solution from the forum. Hopefully it'll work for you.

Allready tried, but didn't work.
It seems that after pit and flashing KPE, doesn't clear all. Something is still there.
I don't understand the differences between kernel and rom, so perhaps I need to do something with the kernel.
Thanks any way.
