Best screen protector in UK - Nexus 4 Accessories

Ive had a look on a few websites and I have no idea which screen protectors to get.
On amazon uk they all seem to have no reviews, or one star because they are made for different phones.
Can anyone point me to some good value screen protectors (don't have to be full body).
:meant to add ??? to title to make it sound more like a question

Xtreme guard ... They ship from us but usually in about 5 days. Also use "80off3" promo if it still works will cost you £6 for 3 full body protectors with delivery.
However they are wet application and you need to know what you're doing to not damage the phone ...

Google xtremeguard
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

I've been through 3 brands so far
Vikuiti ADQC27 - got off ebay for £14 for front and back, back cutouts didn't align and front lifted so wouldn't recommend
Terrapin - good value at £5 for 6 pack but the protector is well short (0.5cm short!!!) sent them back
Martin Fields - £16 for front and back, I'm sticking with these ones, good quality and fits well, the back is absolutely perfect fit, front is not quite perfect but pretty good. Proximity sensor works with this one
I've heard good things about Xtream guard so can't go wrong getting that one, suppose if you can't wait for the delivery from US you can go with Martin Fields.

Just ordered both a Screen Protector and a Full Body Protector (I know I don't need a Screen protector if I am going to use the full body one - but I am not sure if I will use the full body or not, and it pays to have a spare).
Never used a Wet Application Screen Protector before, so it should be fun! Going to watch all the vids before attempting (on a pretty slow internet connection at the moment so going to watch them later).
Cheers

Hint
when you attempt to apply the screen protector, make sure that you do it in a steamy bathroom.
Believe me if something gets stuck after you applied it (and you will notice, when its nearly dry after few hours) there is no way you will be able to take it off ...
I usually order 3 at a time and if Iran not good I'll take it off and apply new one...

i've tried xtremeguard but all codes seem to have expired?

Ever? Is it pretty much glued in place forever afterwards?
Not 100% sure I am keen on that idea?

Since no ones really offered any suggestions, Ill chime in. I bought one of these from ebay for £6.99 inc free shipping and have been very happy. Its the first screen protector Ive fitted so its not perfect (I got a bit of dust on one the the edges) buts its pretty damn close. I fitted it in the bathroom after a shower to minimise on the dust and the overall finish is fantastic. Looking at it, you can barely see the protector. Its thin and flexible enough to bend around the edges unlike some of the others Ive seen, giving full protection, looking better and not getting the the way of any swiping. The only slight downside is that its has a more tactile feel than the original glass making using a swype style keyboard a bit trickier because of the extra friction, however the plus side is its easier to grip.
Overall Im very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Edit: Please excuse the dust, I wiped it down with a cloth that left quite a few bits on the phone. Also forgot to mention that it includes a cut out for the proximity sensor.

That's not what I meant. Sorry. You can easily take the screen protector off.
However, the protector after making it wet is sticky. So if you have any dust that got attached to screen protector you won't be able to take it off, at least not with ease .

It's hard to tell from the pictures on at&t's website, but the black one is black/GREY which is a deal breaker for me, pretty unattractive when you see the case from the front.
I'll wait for black/black to be in stock on amazon.

Given my job in public safety and my severe interest in mountain biking and snowboarding, the defender will manage my hobbies better than my HTC pouch.
I have the blue commuter case from AT&T's store. It's big, but worth it IMO. Wish they carried the black or at least gray version, but whatever. Zagg screen protector and Otterbox Commuter is a nice combo. I've already dropped it once though lol
My local AT&T store happened to have the Defender case in stock so I picked one up and they are really nice. I'm amazed at how much thinner Defender cases have gotten. I guess Otterbox decided to use their "new" silicone for the One X case and it has a lot of grip and doesn't seem to attract lint as much.
On the downside, while Otterbox makes great holsters, they decided to put two contact points on each side which makes it difficult for a quick release. Also, the built-in screen protector is still a bad idea.
Al in all, even with the high price and a couple little quirks it's a great case and will probably be my primary case.

how much harder is it to get out of the holster now with the 2 contact points? Is it a real pain in the a$$?
could you take a picture of the other side so i know what the clip system looks like? would be awesome

The clips on the other side look exactly the same. I don't know why they didn't just use a "cradle" on one side with a single, centered clip on the other (like they usually have done before).
Just received my case. Very well put together minus the holster issues which I do not use but I do understand for those who do and pulling down the notification bar is tricky as the top is somewhat blocked by the gray front plastic part of the case. Other than that great case and happy I don't have to be paranoid about dropping my phone.

Alright, what the hell is "orange peel?"

Everyone talks about this in reference to screen protectors, but thread after thread, I have no idea what it means. So, what is it?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Idk either
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
It means it is not smooth but has a dimply texture like an orange. Sometimes zagg invisible shields get accused of having this but it is far less dramatic than the texture of an oranges skin.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
Its what you get when you use a zagg type screen protector. Heres an example:

Mainly wet apply screen protectors have this type of issue. Some do, some don't. This is why I prefer dry apply ones, the better ones give more of a glass like feel.

From what folks on here have posted, the more recent "Zagg HD" versions of the Zagg protectors have much less orange peel effect. But I can't say personally, as I haven't tried them.
Bodyguardz and Skinomi typically have less orange peel than at least the "older" version Zagg, and are great protectors.
Some can't stand the orange peel effect, and one of the main reasons for not using a protector. But for many people, its not very noticeable (especially once the screen is on), particularly with the brands I've mentioned, and depending on the light.

Oh, whoops. I thought it was XDA slang or something
Although for what it's worth, I picked up a Zagg HD sort of hastily (found some very very tiny scratches on my screen and panicked) and applied it. "Orange peel" is noticeable with the screen off if you're looking for it, but compared to the iPhone 4s/Galaxy S2 in the above photo, it's very minimal. Protector feels just like glass.
Also, I think I'll start calling it "lemon peel" to throw people off

I like the fact if it comes off or gets destroyed, they slap another one for $5, as long as you have the original piece left, whether front or rear halves.

I'm getting desperate

I really, really, really, want an official bumper. I check the google play store every day, several times per day, just in the off chance that bumpers will be available. In an effort to avoid smashing my Nexus 4 into millions of shards of glass, I purchased one of those S-cases floating around on ebay. I have to say this case is one of the most hideous things i've ever seen. It made my phone look like a cheap knockoff. In order to improve the aesthetics of said S-case, I decided to turn it into a bumper. I present you all my ghetto bumper. I'm starting to get really desperate, I'm tempted to pay outrageous ebay prices for a real one. (sorry this is mostly a rant)

it's has a premium feeling to it and is pretty solid on the quality. Plus, it protects more than the bumper and costs half as much.

True, I haven't tried both. But the fact is that I have both N2 and S4 UAG cases in my hand, used N2 case in extreme situation for 6 months, and also have some experience with other cases (click on my signature link to see what I do on this forum). Oh, and also almost 2000x 4.75 star reviews of similar S3 UAG case on Amazon tells you something too. I write independent reviews of smart phone accessories, so can speak from some experience. If you are looking for something that resembles UAG industrial design, go ahead and save yourself $10 buying other look alikes. But if you want a quality of UAG case which I can voucher from personal experience and reading thousands of reviews from others - get the real thing. It's your money, your decision. I'm just here to offer my humble opinion since you posted a question in this forum

I bought a UAG case and wouldn't buy one of these similar cases simply because I've owned UAG cases and know how good they are protection. Hell some user posted this link on my UAG review and it looks even more like the UAG than the Obliq and it's cheaper, here's the link

I was excited to use the case and took off my current screen protector (that came with a bundled accessory pack) and placed the new one on. The new screen protector was well above my expectations. I've never used anything more than a cheap screen protector that costs no more than a couple of bucks before on previous phones, but this one blows them all out of the water. It's thicker, but not too thick that you'd notice after application. Also, it was incredibly easy to install (I've had headaches installing screen protectors in the past).
After putting the case on I was thrilled at how great it looked (the white case with black accents on my black S4), only to discover that the buttons do not work very well (or in some cases not at all). When pressing the power button, you have to use excessive force to make it activate. Also, on the volume buttons, the "volume down" button seems to work without any problem, however no matter how hard I press the "volume up" button the phone will not recognize that it is being pressed at all. I have taken the case on and off numerous times to see if it is an alignment issue and after countless attempts I finally gave up.
I was looking forward to writing a great review for this phone, as I am otherwise very impressed with this case (especially for such an affordable price). However, with the buttons not functioning correctly I am afraid this is not going to suffice.
It looks like the majority of the reviews on Amazon do not report having these issues - so I am willing to give the product a second chance. I sent an e-mail to the seller and asked if they would issue my a replacement case. I will let you all know what they say. Does anyone else seem to be experiencing the same issues as myself?
Also - if anyone has any questions about the case feel free to ask.

What sticker/skin/wrap around is best for LG G5?

Hi guys, I would like to know what is the best skin for the G5 that also covers the side? I checked dbrand and it seems they only have front and back skins. Is there a high quality phone skin manufacturer that also covers the side area of the G5?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
i have a vinyl plotter so i can make you a custom one.I've slowly been working on making my own for my phone.
I bought one from slickwraps as I usually do when I order skins (usually because I have a discount code from previous orders).
I've always found them to be great quality and perfect fit on all devices I've tried.
Ill upload pics when I get it (hopefully tomorrow)

How much would you charge for a custom one, if be very interested in one. I love the shape and feel of the phone so I prefer skins over cases. And a custom option would be sick

IDK, like $5-10? i'm not trying to compete with Dbrand here lol, was just designing one for myself anyways.
What color are you looking for? i'm currently using matte black for mine.

Haha no problem. Hopefully mine will arrive today and I'll get some pics up later
Hi all. My Slickwraps arrived today and I've attached a good few pics. As usual it is a perfect fit all round and simple enough to apply (always use a hairdryer on curved surfaces to 'shrink' the material into the curve).
Just want to state that I am not affiliated with Slickwraps in any way, nor have I been asked to review. I am simply a happy customer of a few years and want to share my experiences.

Looks awesome. Thank You!
Im seeking for a black piano sticker for the front bottom of the phone... Just to cover that LG logo area.

Dbrand has always been my go-to option and they've been perfectly cut, but seeing that Slickwraps skin, I'll be giving that a go for sure since that also covers the sides.
Skinit has some good skins as well
I got from Xtremeskins, Dark Oak
it's only £5 (+£2 for additional accents) and free shipping if you are in the UK!
You even get spares for the borders' stickers!
The fit is almost perfect, the back skin leaves a little naked metal wear the chin separates, but i'm ok with it! (I didn't want to stretch neither...)
It looks like a metal band separating the main body and the chin.
Using a spigen clear hybrid case on, the fit is very tight, sadly a bit of the right side skin got a bit peeled (it's okay since i have spares hehe)...
but all in all, super satisfied, quite realistic wood appearance and texture.
Was hesitating between Dark oak and Walnut, I'd love to have the Walnut skin too haha.
Will post more photos later today.
I ordered black leather from xtremeskins as well, to go with my case but the skin that goes around the camera lens blocked the wide angle camera on the edges. Did you try it? Did you get the same result?
Is there any skin for Cam Plus module?

We're seeing a huge influx of their customers lately.
Anyone have problems with wide camera after applied skin camera stick?Look top left and bottom corner...I have this skin.
Anyone know know where I can get sinks in my geo area - either from UK or Ireland, I don't want to wait weeks for it to come from the US.
edit: If I actually read the post 2 posts back I would have gotten my answer !
