[Q] LG G-Slate V909DW password

Hello,
I got an LG G-Slate V909DW of craigslist and although i knew it has a password i thought I can reset it. No matter what i try, i can not bypass the login password. Is there any way to reset to factory defaults, or wipe the password, or flash a new ROM / factory ROM?
Thanks

[Q] Help with mobile connection

So earlier today I booted into stock recovery and wiped the cache partition in the hopes that it might get the bugs out and speed my N5 up a bit. Well, while wiping the cache partition the phone frozen. I held the power button to reboot the device. The phone booted up fine, but I've seemed to have lost my carrier settings. I've taken the sim in and out several times and cannot get the device to connect to a mobile network. Carrier settings is not present under settings so I cannot manually update the profile. The phone is stock and running on the Sprint network. Anyone have any ideas how to get this thing working again? Thanks for your help!
Have you tried resetting your APNs back to default as well as setting preferred network to LTE/CDMA?

The option is there, you just have to find it under Wireless & Networks. I'm on a custom ROM so it appears in a different part of the menu.
Select Settings.
Select More Settings.
Select Mobile Networks.
Select Access Point Names.

I think thats what he means. "Mobile network" is gone.... Maybe?
Yes that's what i mean. Carrier Settings is missing as an option. I tired to do a factory reset under settings but when I click the button nothing happens. This is very odd.

This happened to me before. I wiped cache, it seemed like it hung up so I rebooted and lost network connectivity. Lucky for me (and you) it's easily fixable. Go back into recovery and wipe cache again. This time let it finish. It might seem like it's stuck but just let it run its course. When it's done, boot it back up and everything should be fine.

Thanks for the message; I wish I would have seen it sooner. I did fix the issue, but in a round about way. I tried to do a factory reset in recovery and the same thing happened it just froze up... or maybe was just was taking a long time. Anyway my impatience lead me to reboot, well that put me into a boot loop. Great... So i decide the only way out of this was to flash a factory image. Upon unlocking the bootloader and rebooting from fastboot all is back to normal. I hadn't planned on rooting my N5, but I'm this far now I might as well do it. Thanks everyone for the insight!

Frp bug(?) --Cannot Wipe the device from Recovery, even with all Google accounts remo

[the final word in the title should be the word "removed"].
My phone is a Rook G from EE (UK), which I understand to be just a carrier-branded ZTE Blade 3 A410. I need to wipe the phone and do a Factory Reset . But the phone has Factory Reset Protection, so I must remove this in order to proceed. I do this by removing all google accounts from the device. As a result, I can perform the factory reset from within the "Backup & Reset" section of "Settings".
However, if I boot into recovery (By holding Vol+ and Power simultaneously), then when I choose "Wipe data/Factory reset", the following line appears at the bottom of the screen:
"Frp have not wipe, factory reset failed".
And it doesn't seem that the device is factory reset. So my first question is: WHAT do I do to enable the Wipe data/factory reset feature from recovery?
[If you are wondering why I need to Factory Reset from Recovery, the answer is that I'm trying to unlock the bootloader. Now we know that the last step in unloking the boottloader is that the device is wiped back to Factory Reset state. I presume that this is accomplished by code which runs in the regular recovery partition.
What worries me substantially, therefore, is that if there is some problem which prevents Recovery from wiping the device clean, then it will not be possible to unlock the bootloader. I'm sorry to say that indeed I am not able right now to unlock the bootloader -- at the crucial moment when I would use the Volume key to confirm that I want to unlock, there seems to bea problem with what is happening: the phone screen stops responding, and in the end the procedure for unlocking the bootloader fails.
If anyone can confirm to me that it must be possible to do a factory reset of your device from within Recovery for there to ever be a procdure to unlock the bottloader.
And last but not at all least -- if someone can help me to end the appearance of that crazily ungrammatical error ("Frp not have wipe, factory reset failed"), I'd be very grateful. Because I'm hopeful that this is the key to unlocking my bootloader.

Developer options>Allow OEM unlocking
thanks, but of course I have both Allow OEM unlocking checked and also USB debugging checked. Perhaps it's a clue that the "OM unlocking" toggle seems to be not perfectly sticky. It sometimes/often happens that I check the value and it's gone abck to "off". At this point, i check that value before I do anything that might unlock the bootloader.
But thanks for the suggestion.
BTW -- please note that THIS question here is about how to get Factory Reset to work from Recovery on a phone which has no google account set up. To do THAT surely doesn't require the OEM Unlocking toggle to be set.

[HELP] Pin not accepted on boot

So, i wiped the cache of my phone and when i tried to restart it, the password required on boot was "invalid". I am sure it is the correct password, as i am using it for many months. I tried many other passwords, and none of them worked. I also tried hard resetting from recovery to reset all the passwords but it still requires the password to boot. What can i do to recover my phone?
