You guys using Note 10.1 please help me to plug your note to charger, then can u use touch screen nornally?
My Note is hard to silde by hand while its being charged, i can't even slide to unlock the screen,,but i can use sPen normally. Does anybody have this issue? Please help me try with your Note. Thanks.
There is a know issue with touch screen sensitivty reducing when tablet is on charge.
It may have something to do with improper earthing on the charger....

I tried samsung service center's charger but the same problem. They said that's normal but how can it be normal when i cant slide to answer the call. Does issue happen with your Note?

My note is also not so responsive to touch while charging, but I'm able to scroll. Try another power outlet or another charger if possible.

Hi!
I just got a dock for my Galaxy S on Christmas =) But now I have a problem. When I try to charge it with the supplied cable the screen becomes VERY unresponsive, it gets very hard to touch anything only the buttons work. How is that possible? Is there any way to avoid this behaiviour?
Here is a picture of the dock, maybe some of you have it (got it from amazon)

I hear some third partychargers do the same thing. Too much current or voltage overwhelms the capacitive touch screen, rendering it unresponsive.

ohh that's creepy, I'm not going to charge it with it then :/ but at least I got a little home for my Galaxy now =)
I had this problem too. I returned that crap.

I dunno if its the touch screen or just the phone lagging but this happens even with the official charge or connected to the USB port or even using a 3rd party charger where you can change the charging voltages/amps to lower values.
Hey all. I've asked this before in a couple rom threads but my post gets buried pretty quick and I figured this would be the more appropriate place.
Anyways, I have an issue where the touch screen whacks out when my phone is plugged in. I am using the factory charger and it happens on any rom / kernel combination I have tried. I have issues swiping the lockscreen and typing on the keyboard when its plugged in. Almost like its unresponsive. Any ideas to try?? Thanks in advance.

I had the same exact problem. So I tryed an HTC charger I had laying around and it worked perfectly. I'm guessing its like a faulty charger. I suggest switching the charger.

I do not know whether others have this issue and noticed the touch becomes a little unresponsive to clicks when the tablet is charging.
Wanted to know is this something only with my tablet or does anyone face the same issue its just I need to press a little hard to click scrolling and all is fine
Same thing happens to mine

U are absolutely right ..i was trying to figure out why my touchscreen was unresponive at times but not all the time ,when i stumbled on this post....i took out the charger and it was very smooth but when i put it back on the problem resurfacs...
I wonder why this happens
Same here for all my samsung tabs (7 , 10.1 and n8000 )

I noticed this on my Samsung Galaxy SII phone today. I figure it's that the capacitive screen is messed up somehow by the extra electromagnetic field of the charge coming down the wire or something. Maybe I have a "noisy" power supply. I might changing chargers tonight and see if that affects it at all, in case the charger is dodgy and creating some sort of line noise. Who knows.
If you hold the device firmly in your other hand (rather than, say, having it on a table) it seems to improve things a lot. After all, that's how capacitive works.

Yes it is how capactive work but it is Samsung's fault not to proper ground the screen , HTC products are well grounded and don't have this issues

Well I thought so I was worried that this was an issue with charger or something but until its normal issue I am ok with it
I've had this happen on my Samsung devices when using no-name chargers, never with the official charger though.

It happens with the stock charger too and yeah it is Samsung's fault. I was quite surprised when I first noticed it coz the difference in responsiveness is huge.
Juat a quick note , after changing the charger the problem is solved , the problem is in the grounding of the charger not with the note itself , but the fact is that most Samsung chargers are defective , 3 out of 4 chargers that I have have this problem

Has anyone had a problem with their nexus 5 where the screen would randomly start pressing things? It usually happens multiple times and is very erratic. Contacted Google and will send back for a replacement just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
Yap, me too.
Had it a while back but it seems to have stopped.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Never anything like that but what I have done a few times is my palm touches the bottom right of the screen when I reach for the top left corner while right handing it. Coming from an iPhone so I guess it took a bit to get used to the larger screen
I requested for a replacement to Google Play this morning. They send it this evening. I should
get my replacement early next week. Good service I would say.
I'm glad I'm not going crazy! This is happening to me too! Is there any way to resolve this without having to go through the RMA process?
Only While Charging
I'm getting some erratic touch behavior, but only when the phone is charging. I take it off the charger and it seems fine.
I'm not getting total phantom behavior, but when I swipe from home screen to home screen, sometimes an app will get activated. Same with pulling down the notification area.
It makes me think there's a charge leaking through to the display components somehow.
I'm going to give it a week and then RMA it if it doesn't go away.
I have it too
I have it too but only when I connect my USB to the computer...
It's sucks cos I'm an app developer...
Is there any fix for that?

Sounds like a dodgy USB cable or port.
Same issues with my Nexus 4
I notice my issue is mostly when my phone is charging or when I'm using my mobile hotspot. Tends to get extra warm when im using both. Which leads me to believe its an overheating issue (the heat is throwing off the digitizer causing it to maybe think its being touched?) Is anyone else noticing the same?
Yes, but only while on wireless charger and even then only sometimes.
I take it off, push power button twice and it's gone.
I'm also experiencing this if my Nexus 5 is charging using the original Wall charger and cable.
Still no fix for this? Really annoying, I need to unplug my phone to the charger so that I can use it again normally
Same issue here
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=62748
This usually happens when you use some other charger/usb cable than the original one

This also sometimes happens when you have wet or moist fingers

I'm using original cable and wall charger. I also don't have wet finger or hand when experiencing this issue

I also have the same problem only when otg or pic is connected through usb
So when I plug my N5 into charge, the screen starts recognizing "ghost" touches and does its own thing. Like when its charging its distorting the electric captive touch... Anybody else having the issue?

I am. I'm suffering it with my Nexus 10 as well as my Nexus 5, in my N10 the problem is much worse.
Same here, although for me its more often for my screen refusing to record my touch than recording ghost touches.
This is the case for Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 I had previously.
BTW, you can use an app like this to help testing the issue.
If you aren't using the charger that came with the phone this will happen.

In my case this happens with the official chargers, both for the N5 and N10 :crying:
I have the same problem here.
I already had this problem with my Nexus S. Using always the charger received with the phone.
I've noticed that sometimes is more annoying than others. It doesn't depend on the charge level, if you are charging by PC or how many apps are opened.
I think it's a temperature related problem, and it is happening when you are using the phone "a lot" while charging. But I'm not sure about that.
Anyone has more information about this?
P.D.: Now I noticed that I was experiencing this problem. My charge level was 96%. When it reached 100% this problem faded away.
