What about MIUI?
Sent from my A953 using XDA
This is actually the exact same Beats Audio mod that I use, minus its framework file mine included. Add the b1.jar to /system/framework/.
It's missing 2 framework files for the Bravia Engine mod. You can either delete the "add_to_buildprop.sh" and not use Bravia, or add the 2 attached com.sony.... files to /system/framework/ in the zip to use Bravia Engine.
Remove the .txt at the end before adding the files to the zip.

This MOD works on custom roms like CyanogenMod 7/9, MIUI, LEWA, and other AOSP ROMS. It MAY OR MAY NOT work on stock. But this doesnt stop from trying it out.
Post if it works on STOCK rom.

Flashed the zip you uploaded and thankfully no problems faced!
I'm on will5's MIUI 2.5.25 GB 2.3.7 ROM
Booted as per usual but I did a backup of /System anyway just in case of any hiccups or if I don't like what I'll get but...
I DO like what I've got
Music sounds fantastic now. Seems clearer (I said seems), the bass is clearly better (not just louder or punchier, just... AWESOMER!!! MEGABASS).
Turned off the equalizer on the MIUI Music Player 'Normal' preset to 'None' and it sounded even better than before with the equalizer on my ATH-CKP300!
Its definitely better bass as promised (hopefully not psuedo as people claim its just because you're trying to notice harder than usual) although I'm not geeky enough to get any tests running on the output differences.
Thanks for the share!
Note to others: Despite how much I'm loving it, I seriously discourage this to non-bass-fanatics.
I'm aware that the level of bass I enjoy is not quite the taste of many and some even find it painful.
But if you are, this might just be your lucky day
Remember to do a nandroid backup always before flashing system files! And maybe to revert if you don't like it.

This bass is not probably for the weak hearted.
I am glad it worked fine on your config.
To clear up any confusion -- THIS MOD IS BEATS AUDIO. A quick glance at the file names in the zip will clue you in.... This just happens to be the only one I've found to work on our common plaform (Defy, Bravo, MS2); been using it since March now. I've seen about 7 different Beats mods, and most have the .bin files installed to /system/bin when they should be in /system/etc. This is one of the 2 or 3 correct Beats mods I've found.
I'm not sure if the b1.jar is needed, but it came with the mod I use and never caused any problems. All the files between my Beats and yours are identical except for the missing framework b1.jar.
This should work with CM7, MIUI, Stock\based on GB roms. ICS needs /system/lib/hw/ files and different libs. Still haven't found a good ICS Beats mod yet. I don't think Froyo even has a Beats mod (Different audio framework, I think).
Don't bother using this with ICS. The only thing that will happen is it will break the Dsp Manager. ICS and GB use libs with same name but different contents for this mod.
FOR BRAVIA MOD
You will need to add in the first 2 files on my earlier post to fully enable and use the Bravia Mod. I did a check of the script and Bravia Mod is fully installed except for the 2 framework files I uploaded earlier. You can see that they are needed by watching the logcat on boot and seeing where Bravia fails to initialize because the framework files are missing.
I've seen may roms and mods where users complain it doesn't work, but they're missing the framworks, and usually the libs as well. Most only contain files for /etc and /etc/permissions
Oh, and this Bravia mod DOES work. I did a few before and after tests and my Phone's camera pictures look much better with Bravia enabled. I've only tested with GB MIUI and CM7.
@adityabhagat95 -- Where did you find this mod at? I completely forgot and lost the thread where I found my Beats mod. Somewhere here at XDA, just not sure where
I can make a CWM zip with the missing framworks if needed.

Well, I found this mod here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602753
I would be glad if you could release a zip with changes that you may feel necessary.
I've installed this zip over cm9 and nothing happened. The dsp still working too.

There's not supposed to have any visible changes on your Phone. You can only tell the difference by listening to music.

That's because this is for Gingerbread Based roms only -- Miui, CM7, etc.... ICS roms need a different Beats mod. If I found one that worked, I'd post it here.
Beats Audio Thread -- The 5.1 is supposed to be for ICS roms, but I've only tested once and was in a hurry, crashed the system with a diff mod, and reinstalled GB MIUI afterwords. The 03\17 Test is real similar to this mod. A bit of advice -- Make damn sure overclock.sh is formatted properly if you edit it...an sbf flash is the only fix if you screw up....my crashed system...
I am surprised that DSP Manager still works since this broke it on the last CM9 I used. ICS has a slightly different DSP framework.
Give me an hour and I should have a repacked zip with the framework jars.
EDIT: Zip with framweworks in attachment.

hi guys
i want to use this on nightly 4.0.4 cm9 milestone 2
can it be used on ics now?
Removed under one thread
Thanks for the zips. Have just installed on my cm10 based paranoid ROM. It seems to have installed two extra apps to the already existing dspmanager. Can't work out if there is any difference to the music/sound quality from before installing. Am I doing something wrong. How can I test if it's working or not ?

They just boost your DSP manager (which is already there) and collect all the audio specialities from different devices into one.
Basically, your audio output is supposed to have increased in quality and clarity ~and so.
You can just say that your device now has the bragging rights of beats audio, dsp manager, xloud, dolby sound, surround sound and all of the official audio improvement softwares on android
But its up to you to find the difference in audio :good: i just provided the software files

How many threads do you need?
[COMPILATION] Audio MODS
DSP Manager flashable zip
Just make one, and modify it as you change and add things.
That'll stop the clogging of the forums with more or less the exactly the same thing reworded.
Also perhaps you should add a bit of credits as to where you got your original files from.
I'm guessing:
(MOD)Beats Audio(2.3+up)07/31/12
[MOD]Modified DSP Manager with BEATS audio. For CM9, MIUI & AOKP.(6.25.12)
etc.

KING BeaTZ Disclaimer:
I am in no way responsible for this ROM bricking you device.
It is your responsibility to do a Nandroid backup.
Start with low volume and work your way up.
You have been warned.
******Updated Flashing Instructions****** *****Disclaimer***** These instructions have been tested and proven to work on multiple devices. Failure to follow these simple steps may lead to you becoming the proud owner of a brand new paperweight. That being said, neither I nor anyone associated with this ROM is responsible for what YOU do to YOUR DEVICE. Lets get to flashing shall we?
A PREVIEW OF THE NEW KERNEL BASE I'M USING BEFORE MY RELEASE OF KINGBeaTZ - NOTE IT'S STILL PA BASED
KINGBeaTZ BETA 2
Download the latest KINGBeaTZ build HERE
Download the latest GAPPS HERE
Boot into Recovery and perform a Nandroid Backup
Perform a FULL WIPE (Factory Defaults - System - Cache - Dalvik)
Install/Flash the KINGBeaTZ ROM zip that you downloaded in Step 1
Install/Flash the latest GAPPS zip that you downloaded in Step 2
Reboot System
At the first boot, it will take a bit longer for it to show the setup screen because it's activating the voodoo drivers. At the initial setup, it still state that voodoo sounds is broken. It's fine. It's normal because technically we don't even have wolfson sound chip.
ADDITION STEPS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ON HBOOT 1.14
Download and Extract the BOOT.IMG from the zip into fastboot
Boot into Recovery and perform a Nandroid Backup
Perform a FULL WIPE (Factory Defaults - System - Cache - Dalvik)
Install/Flash the BrickBeaTZ ROM zip that you downloaded in Step 1 (Hboot 1.14 Edition)
Install/Flash the latest GAPPS zip that you downloaded in Step 2
REBOOT into BOOTLOADER
Enter Fastboot USB Mode
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Type "fastboot reboot"
Enjoy
WE ARE NOT DONE! This is where the normal flashing procedures change. There are some init scripts that prevent the ROM from booting on first run. This leads us to our second set of steps:
YOUR DEVICE WILL HANG ON THE PARANOID ANDROID SCREEN!
HOLD THE POWER BUTTON DOWN and count the number of times the hardware keys flash.
Once the keys flash 6 TIMES the screen will turn off and reboot.
Now the device will boot up normally and you will be presented with the Welcome Screen.
After you enter in all of your information, Enter Settings - Performance and hit OK
Go to "Processor" and make sure the Governor is set at ADAPTIVE, MIN FREQ is 192, MAX FREQ what makes you happy, Check Set On Boot
Hit the Back button and go over to "I/O Scheduler" and make sure the Scheduler is set to SIO
Hit the Back button once again and go to "Memory Management" and make sure zRam is set at OFF and Check Purging of Assest and Kernel Samepage Merging
Addons:
Dont download until further noticed! Shades of Red Theme - Original Thered
Instructions:
Put ROM and GAPPS on your internal SD-Card.
Boot into CWM and do a Nandroid back-up.
Wipe/Format System, Wipe/Format Data, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik-Cache.
Flash ROM.
Flash GAPPS.
Reboot and enjoy.

You got know clue how fast this baby is. All my tweaks are hard baked into the ROM. Rezound audio mod is in it. Beats are too. You just don't see any beats bin.
This is another kind of ROM.
Its a hybrid. Part android part 64bit OpenSuSe.
This phone will not get hot.
Audio is perfect.
Eveything just works.
There's no need to configure anything.
Under the simple cm10 shell, this ROM is a BEAST. You'll see when I release it.

No the kernel is stock. I'm too lazy to set it up yet. I can't say because that would ruin the fun .lol
Have I ever made false promises in the past?
This has to be one of the lightest smoothest battery saving audiophile phone in the world. Lol.... that's how cocky I am about this ROM and its running stock kernel. Just wait until I build mines.

Hi man, it's good news for all of us.
But there is some questions:
1. it's JB or ICS rom?
2. when it will come?
3. How it's battery life compared to current CM10 or AOKP?
Anyway, i hope it comes soon.

First post! Which kernel does this come with? Stock? Have you tested the 4.67 kernels?

A2SD Support?
First, Thanks for this ROM!
Downloading now.
Question: Does this support A2SD?
I am currently on EXT4. I can change to EXT2 or EXT3 if needed.
Thanks!

su
a2sd install
Correct?
TIA.

Try ca1nes underworld or classic kernel. Either of which should work just fine.

Underworld w/sbc confirmed working here. Will also allow for those with ext 4 partitions to run a2sd properly. Expect 3 reboots on first boot. Good start on this Rom. Don't like the Sprint bloat personally but it can be removed with a root file manager or tb. I'll keep an eye on this one.

The developer claims it improves performance on ics by 30-40%, and since we may be stuck on ics for a while, has anybody considered trying it on our device?

It's just a package that contains official libs and some framework files that were build or modded for XPERIA S so, obviously, it ONLY works for that phone man, u also can try the apps inside but they may not work (due to missing framework) and surely, just by apps then you won't get any performance boost ^^...so, I don't recommend it
