Anyone else having problems with YouTube since update? Custom CM10 Rom - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
My tablet updated the YouTube app the other day. Other than the fact that it now looks horrible, I can't seem to get anything to work on it. I can't login, can't play a video full screen. All it says on the bottom middle of the screen is "An Error has Occurred".
Is anyone else having any issues?

I am.

+1

Full screen option disappears while docked for some reason

Known issue
Problem appears to be with any ASUS Transformer tablet with keyboard, as well as some other tablets without keyboard (IIRC, Xoom 2).
The solution for now is to downgrade a version to the last one before the December release.

Try uninstall update by going to playstore, Youtube uninstall.
Then uncheck automatic update for that app.

[Q] Videos not playing anymore from gallery (solved)

Hello!
Weird problem occured today. Any of the videos I have on gallery wont play anymore. When I click the preview image from the video screen just darkens a little bit and then nothing happens?!! When I touch the screen the second time it lightens up again?!
It used to work before. Couple days ago I watched few videos throught gallery which I recorded with HTC desire. When I pressed the preview image a pop up window showed up which asked which player I want to use, either the stock player or MX video player that I also have installed. And it worked just fine no matter which one I used.
Now there is no pop up anymore, it just darkens. And yes Iam trying to watch the same videos which worked before. Even if I record a video with the TF's own camera it wont play it when I try to open it up either from gallery or from file manager.
If I open the MX video player and launch the video throught there it works, but why it doesnt launch it from anywhere else?
Any help is appreciated!
Edit: Stock 3.2 android, so its not rooted.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question...have you tried to restart it? When mine does that I end up having to restart to get things working again. If you have tried that then Im not sure...

Yes I have restarted it.
Man this is getting even more weird. I received email about your reply and when I tryed to press the link from Gmail app which would direct me to this thread screen just darkened again just like with the video. No pop up asking which browser I want to use, it just darkens and lights up when I press the screen again?!?
One other option is this...try rotating the screen and see if the menu pops up for you.
If you have installed any 3rd party browsers, try uninstalling them and see if this resolves your issue. Let me know so I can keep looking for ya if not!

Heh, I think I got it solved now. I unmounted TF from the dock in order to try that screen rotation and decided to see if the email thing works. And it did, so does the videos now! I hooked up it on the dock again and everything seems to be working again.
I didnt even rotate the screen, seems like just unmounting and mounting it on the dock did the trick. Thanks.
No prob man, I noticed when I searched google it was a problem in general with the 3.2 update on a few devices. Glad you got it fixed!

Touchscreen issues using YouTube

I've read issues with people having trouble with their touchscreens in general, but I'm only experiencing such issues when using the youtube app.
I will press a video and it won't do anything.
I've tried installing latest 3.5.05 apk of youtube, and also made sure my touchscreen is functioning fine using the various multitouch screen testing apps.
It's only using the youtube app, nothing else?
Any ideas?
I'm on revolver HC 3.11.1
Thanks.
Are you sure its actually the screen and not the app thats ****ed up?
It sounds weird that the screen would be at fault here when it only affects one app.

Yup, my thoughts exactly.
When I use the screen multitouch test, I can't find anything wrong with the screen.
It's only youtube. I think I'm on the latest version. I will try to find an older version.

Problems with updated Google Maps

Hi! fellow p6200 users. Has anyone noticed a direction problem when using an update Maps application?
I am using the stock honeycomb OS.
Using the maps application that came preinstalled, the directions are normal. it follows where i am facing regardless of portrait or landscape.
problem is, I have observed several maps updates already, and even the latest one would have the error of having the wrong direction faced when in the google maps app.
I would often be 90 to 180 degrees off, so it sometime shows me facing a completely opposite direction!
when I uninstall the updates and go back to the stock Google Maps, everything is ok. the directions were correct. Is there anyone having the same problem? Was this fixed in ICS?

[Q] New Youtube (5.0) issues: Screen blinking

Since the updated Youtube was out, I started having issues with my TF101, I use Revolver rom (which is stock based), and when I use youtube, the screen starts blinking black, especially when the video ends and get in the lower right corner.
I went back to v4.11 but it keeps updating to 5, which I want to use but it is very annoying.
Anybody knows a solution for the blinking?
I would go back to the older version of youtube and turn off auto update for google play. I would also upgrade your rom since I am unfamiliar with revolvers issues. Go Katkiss and you will not look back.

Yes sure I tried reboot but nothing changes ?
Is it possible that you have YouTube with resolution optimization on Boost+? Because in my case, for instance, if I set the resolution optimization for Samsung Internet Browser (Beta), it becomes unable to go full screen with its built-in video player.

I'm also having this problem, it started happening after the last couple of Youtube update. I tried clearing cache and rebooting many times. Guess we have to just wait till Google start getting their ****s together.
I Update The youtube to the last update
