GSMArena has the HTC Desire HD as Gorilla Glass, if you had a look around XDA and other forums, you will find that there seem to be a misconception that the HTC Desire HD is actually "not" using Gorilla Glass, but regardless, it still seems to use a certain level of quality surface. To be honest, Gorilla or not, it does also scratches, as seen on my GFs Galaxy S I9000 which definitely uses Gorilla.
Maybe the pre-release/testing ones had Gorilla Glass and then it was changed afterwards as a cost saving exersise?

I also that it had Gorilla Glass

Look under display
Wow this old question again after all this time, does it matter? The screen on your DHD is made of glass, glass scratches deal with it.

Retina display is just a name apple name up to sell iphones
retina are basically IPS display, no?
and i don't really know if the DHD has a gorilla glass display,
but my nephew accidentally dropped a XBOX360 controller right on the screen of my INSPIRE 4G (same device) from about 70cm high and absolutely nothing happened.
well it might not be the actual keys that scratched the display but could be grit or sand in the pocket.. metal generally doesn't scratch glass.. there are tons of youtube videos of people using keys and penknives to try to cut glass but it usually doesn't work.
but if you use sand or a sharp rock.. now that's a different story.

Android phone with real scratch resistant screen

Hi,
I'm searching for a phone which has really good glass protecting screen, just like the HTC HD2 has.
Do you know any available in Europe?
Thanks in advance.
Seriously? No one?
There is no such thing as a 100% scratch resistant phone. All screens are prone to some degree of scratching. That said, look into phones like the Galaxy S3, which comes with Gorilla Glass 2 or any other phones with Gorilla Glass screens like the LG Optimus 2X.
I've had a gnex since november and its kept up great.
Anything with Corning Gorilla Glass.

If the display and touch are working then all you need is the glass replaced.

Does Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 is on AMOLED also or just back side ?

The official website specs https://www.oneplus.in/nord-specs
it is not clear whether the Fluid AMOLED is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 or not, and what about the back side camera glass ? is that also Gorilla glass 5 ?
the above mentioned "Cover Glass: Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5" is very vague. my questions is what do they mean cover ? how much of coverage is complete in their interpretation of the line ?

Some reviews say Gorrila glass 5 and saw one say the screen was gorilla glass 6.
Then I'm seeing that it's not actually glass build at all and some sort of plastic polycarbonate which is being widely reported but not mentioned by Oneplus.

Replacement Digitizer

Does anyone know where I can purchase an OEM Corning digitizer for this phone? I ordered a Centarus from Amazon but it was really crappy quality. Thanks!
I've bought from this store on aliexpress and it was good, like original on the screen quality, just the glass wasn't the same but good enough! https://aliexpress.com/item/32981812610.html
Is it possible to change only front glass and not LCD ? LCD is 100$ plus, but glass is only 20$ max.

Pretty sure the glass is part of the whole thing.
I'm sure it is. But it's possible to heat it and remove it? A don't think is possible but maybe I'm wrong
it should be but you probably don't have the equipment to do it without braking the lcd.
https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/652495/How+would+I+separate+my+glass+and+lcd+from+the+digitizer this is for an amoled screen, for an lcd it should be easier but still...
So it's cheaper to buy glass with LCD.
