Wow, didnt' think I'd like Swype-style typing but I gotta say... pretty badass.

Any idea if this will replace my current Swiftkey install? Also, are there any bugs that have surfaced yet? Can't wait to try this :cyclops:

Nope, I have Swiftkey 3 phone, tablet, and flow installed all at once lol. Just make sure you don't uninstall previous versions when it asks.
I installed it this morning and have been using it since with no bugs.

Got the email this morning. Installed it right away, shortly after, deleted my swift key 3 installation. Barely miss the floating preview from the 4.2 keyboard.

The big thing I "miss" from regular swiftkey (really the only thing so far) is the ability to swipe backwards across the keyboard to delete the last word. One of those neat features that I got too used to.... I'm sure I can get "un"used to it.

I find myself typing "of" and "lbs" a lot from swiping backwards lol.

I'm loving the flow typing, it makes texting with one hand much easier. I think they should bring back the swipe to delete feature even with the new flow typing. Maybe if you start your swipe on the backspace key and swipe left it should clear the last word? You would have to be precise but at least you could delete again.

Yeah, hopefully that will get incorporated by final release. I love how swiping over the space bar after a word inserts a space.

Well well well... My first post from SwiftKey... It's slow. And ugly.

Well well, aren't we a negative Nancy? Or just in the mood for some trolling? Regardless, I'm not sure what your set up is but SwiftKey is far from slow on my phone. As far as it being ugly to each his own, I guess none of the 8 bundled themes tickled your fancy? Oh well, that's the beauty of android..you're free to use whatever the hell you want.

I thought the new Android keyboard was cool, but this is even better. :good:

Not trying to troll, but do you think you should be posting a link to a closed beta for a paid app?
This might be violating xda policy.

If it violates policy by all means have a mod remove it. I paid for SwiftKey 3 and signed up to SwiftKey vip. I was unaware that the "beta" for flow was a paid app so from my understanding this isn't warez so I figured I'd share with the community. But like I said, if it is mods please close. I'm not trying to step on any toes or violate policy.

Its fine there is a direct download link from the site.

Lol, and that gibberish was entirely written with the space key after the word let's. This is kinda cool. I suppose the predictive text can only get better as time goes on. I changed my mind, and it might be a good keyboard. I'm currently rocking the dark theme.

Wow I'm gonna buy apple then LOL
There's a post in the "Themes & Apps" forum with instructions on how to do it, and you do NOT need an AOSP rom. It runs fine on Sense 4.
EDIT: And when I just "runs fine," there are bugs, such as Voice Search crashing, and I also noticed a significantly higher battery drain, so I've stopped using it myself. I just meant that there's no difference in functionality between Sense and AOSP. (Maybe the battery drain is better on AOSP, I dunno.) The battery drain won't destroy your phone's battery life, but I definitely noticed a difference that wasn't worth it for me. Once Voice Search starts working, I'll likely install it again.

[App] Swype competition

I remember a while back there was a thread asking for suggestions for a keyboard to replace Swype. I came across one that deserves a look. Tswipe is a very nice option with a ton of customizations. It can be found in the Play Store as "free" however the swipe feature is a limited trial. I have no affiliation but just thought it was worth a share because I hadn't heard of it before.

But only because it was invented by a monkey.
It was bound to happen.
They have put an infinite number of monkeys in front of type writers hoping one of them will type the complete works of Shakespeare,
and one of them unexpectedly typed out the program code for Keymonk.

[HEADSUP] Sense 4+ JellyBean 4.1.1 for One X International

Football has uploaded the first 4.1.1 ROM for the one X .
Have a look and get the first impressions over here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601543
Maybe our devs would port this rom to the XL?
Obviously, I didnt do anything over there, is purely Football work
PLEASE, DO NOT FLASH IT IF YOU HAVE ONE XL \ AT&T VERSION
They are completely different phones with only a few things in common, despite their names.
A One S or Evo LTE leak would be much more probable to be ported over here than that ROM.

Few things i noticed that i really like:
1. No more keys on the keyboard. Thank god. Keyboard sucks in ICS. I switched to shiftkey because of it.
2. Everything in settings looks great. The new battery usage and task manager look wonderful
3. Gallery is a lot more useful now. You can see cloud pictures.
I didn't notice it being project butter fast though. But maybe it's hard to see it on video.
Edit: minor thing that i really like is the full date in the notification bar (including day).
hopefully att doesnt remove the radio and flashlight apps. im wondering what we will be using to activate google now

I read in one of his threads that he successfully ran a Tegra 2.17 ruu on his One XL. It was in a thread I read yesterday I think. He also has said, I believe, that he has ported roms from the Tegra to use in his Nocturnal roms. I could be totally wrong but that's what my memory is telling me.

SwiftKey Flow

Is anyone else really excited for this app? I am an avid SwiftKey user, and this looks like the perfect combination between Swype and SwiftKey. There's a video preview online, and it looks awesome. I'm signed up for beta testing, and I'm anticipating this greatly. Does anyone know when this beta may be released to the VIP members of their forums?

This will be the one keyboard to rule them all. I have switched between TouchPal and Swiftkey just on the swipe like function alone. But Swiftkey has always been better at predicting what you are going to say, even for my bi-lingual self (English/Spanish).

Signed up for the beta aswell I love swift key 3
I'm a Swype users, but will definitely switch if SwiftKey pulls this off well. I can't stand touch typing, but I also can't stand how dumb Swype is when it comes to learning my styles. Swype does have the Dragon speech recognition software built-in, though.

I like Swype, but I'm hoping this is a better replacement. I can't stand touch typing. Being able to download right from the market...all they have to do is pull off swyping and I'm in.

I tried it once also, back in GB days and never liked it, but thought it could be cool someday with changes. Always preferred Zeam which I have been using for more than a year, but when I read the news on Android Police, I thought of "what the hell, let's check it out". Also, comments where positive too. It is indeed very good now, I'm using it. Dumped Zeam. Anyway, I still like Zeam's simplicity.

Takes up less space then quoting a post. Plus when your on the app its a pain to shorten a quoted post. Much easier to just respond with @screenname.

Makes sense but quoting makes it easier for others to see the question you are responding to. Which in turn could be helpful to those who might have the same problem. Advantages both ways I suppose.

LOL that's a very good and weird question, but funny that you noticed it and asked.
Like eollie said. It's easier to quote but takes lot of unnecessary space and I don't like it. Also, I usually use the @ when I respond next or a few posts below to the @ tagged person. I used to shorten the quotation but I'm a Twitter fan so the @ tag comes almost naturally.
