[ROM][ODIN-TAR]Odin One-Clicks (LF2,LG1,LK1,LK3) - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

This is a set of rooted and unrooted Odin One-Click Packages. If you're unfamiliar with these, it is the factory firmware loaded in a compacted version of odin and flashing is executed in a single click. No need to check boxes, or worry about what slots to load etc. I do not own this version of the s3 so these have not been tested. They're packed in self-extracting 7z archives. They will not affect your flash count.
Windows PC with Samsung Drivers installed is required.
Shouldn't be any problems but I am not responsible for any that may arise.

Thanks billard412
Thanks these will make things much simpler. Having a droid charge I Odined every Rom dwitherell (extremely talented dev) put out and became quite spoiled. Nice to see more Odinables hope this becomes a trend

Really? Been over a month and only 850 views on this. Out of the 15 or so GS3 carriers that I made these for, I wouldve never guessed it'd be Verizon who would produce the smallest download/view count. Not swole or anything. Just a bit surprised

LK3 rooted would be nice!

Txs bill..just never new this existed

Didn't know it was out of date. That goes to show how long this has been up. LK1 was the latest when i posted this

I think word just hasn't gotten out (in other threads) and due to some of the activity here the dev sections seem to be more congested?
I just happen to run across this.

That why i bumped it.Its like once something hits page 2 it gone... lol

Yeah we need a lk3 one click since the is our latest ota. Thanks man

Main reason being is that sxtpdevelopers is the only reason I got the tools and instructions to make these. In addition to that, sextape is a big contribitor to alot of great stuff including most of the leaks we recieve and the site survives off of ads and donations so I do what I can to increase traffic. (plus Im not a big fan of this site as it ****s on the people that contribute most of their time helping others so I dont mind directing traffic elsewhere.)

Are these no wipe, or full wipe versions? Is it possible to get full wipe versions?

is this rom unlocked
?

Downloading now. Are all version rooted?

Thank you very much billard412 this has sticky written all over it.
There are a lot of people that came to the GIII from other devices, and the big bad foreign God Odin seems to scare them. IMOA it's a very underutilized and overlooked tool. 1 click and you have a new base band (modem), kernal, ROM, RPM, PIT and as long as you can get into download mode it doesn't matter what state of confusion your phone is in at the time, it's saved my arse more times than I can count.
P.S.

Being a sprint user I am not 100% on how the locked thing works. To my understanding tho you needed something special for an unlocked bootloader to flash so there was no way to load it into this. So no

More rumors of an update

Just called VZW tech support to complain about my phone's incessant rebooting. After some fairly vocal complaining I got booted up to a Tier 2 or whatever they call them over there, and she told me she personally spoke with an HTC rep today who assured her that there will be a reboot-fixing update pushed out before the end of the week.
When I said "yeah right, whatever you say" she offered up her email address and said if they don't push it out by then, to call her this monday and she'll just get me a new phone (i.e a Charge or Revolution, not a new T-Bolt, already tried that).
So, finger crossed? I'm not sure it'll help me too much, I'm assuming it's simply MR2, which when I rooted and tried using it also gave me rebooting problems up the wazoo. But still, might be interesting news to some of the rest of ya'll.

Bah. I searched first, there's nothing I'm immediately seeing mentioning an OTA update before July 8th for rebooting issues, just people talking about the July 7th update to remove from Hotspot. If I missed it then I apologize, your highness. I'm only going to spend so long search to spare anyone the horror of reading a three sentence thread I started that MAY be redundant.

Threads like this leave me scratching my head. You have a Bolt. You have ease of rooting. You have a plethora of ROMs, radios, and kernels. But.... you're talking to Verizon about a problem that you could permanently resolved in a lazy afternoon. Don't get me wrong! A new OTA would be groovy... fresh meat for the devs. Just not sure Verizon are the problem-solving folks.
then be happy, if there isn't a update
So I literally just got off the phone with a VZW rep & he went through his bulletin notes & saw TBolt DOES have an update on the way. When? Mid July, no specific dates. Only one can hope...

Like I said, I don't think this OTA is going to help me. I've already tried MR2 (worse than MR1 in terms of rebooting) and MR2.5 (racing grade ultra leaded nightmare fuel levels of rebooting) so unless there's some magical un-leaked code in the OTA I doubt my T-Bolt is ever going to be stable. I was more posting this for the few who prefer to keep their 'bolts stock and want a rebooting issue fix.

There doesn't need to be any ota for this. Verizon will auto add a block dun feature on your account like the iPhone...there is no device side software needed for this.
The mr2 was pushed till second half of July, and even that is subject to change since there isn't any set date. Just like they said second half of June, so really who knows at this point. Thanks to Bamf and company I haven't had a single issue since day one on the device.

Download now! Kies mini now!!!! When download does work for you Your phone will be put into download mode automatically! Don't be Scared! Just don't touch your phone during the process cause you may **** something up and brick your **** permanently.
People are exclaiming you need to register your device before being able to receive the update. If that's the case go to the Samsung site and register your phone if you already did then register your phone again and wait a little and see if something happens. I registered my phone 2 1/2 hours ago and received the update.

??
It recognizes my phone and says I have an update, but I get that message after I hit update. )=
the Rogers method will root it but then you lose the HDMI kernel and only have the leaked kernel to flash back to it.. I doubt it will be different from the kernel we already have but getting the official kernel dumped might be tricky, it would only really be needed for potential initramfs changes, which are likely insignificant.
just out of curiosity someone with the update please post the baseband from settings about phone.

It's the same build number (UCKL2) but is it built using the same tags (release vs debug)? I remember reading that some of the leaks were built using debug keys which can slow down after time because EVERYTHING is logged.
That said, it does look like you'd have to flash back to stock using GTG's unbrick to get back to UCKD5 before Kies will recognize it. So Odin is kind of necessary, at least for the moment.

You do realize there are some people who want to upgrade the legitimate way right? Not everyone wants to flash a rom.
Personally, I flashed both my phones back to stock just to see what the whole kies thing was about. Would have been a nice smooth process (since I'm a crazy person who registered my phones as soon as I got them) except for this annoying handle error that no one seems to know the actual cause of.
call me crazy, I dare you but i did install and played with all the leaks but the update feels a lot smoother.

if this is how you want to update it then fine. and I'm not calling you specifically ignorant, I mean many people don't visit xda and will have to go through this if they want the software, I'm more laughing at the other thread where people are all "does bt work? " not realizing that the Bluetooth devices that don't work use an old protocol that Samsung doesn't care to support on the devices with bt3.0, or like Samsung and att would over look such a nessessary feature of the Phone to leave it out or broken its actually funny the comments and questions going around.

RegawMOD plugin needed for custom bootloader

So now that we have S-Off, I decided to do a bit of research on how to get rid of the red HTC disclaimer and the word "Tampered" from the bootloader screen.
Seems that there is only one way to get rid of "Tampered" and that's to re-lock your bootloader and then flash a RUU.
Whether the word stays gone after you re-flash a custom recovery and ROM/kernel I can't say for sure.
As far as the HTC disclaimer you see on boot-up, It can only be removed by flashing a RUU. As soon as you flash a custom recovery, it'll come back.
I found a thread called RegawMOD which allows you to either delete that red text or change it to whatever you want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739314
They also have a thread that has instructions on how to make a plugin for your device so that you can also use his tool for your device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776900
And yet another thread with a list of current plugins. Maybe one could be used as a template for us?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786498
I would absolutely love to see this tool become a reality for oneS users and I know I'm not alone in this.
Would probably donate if it worked perfect without issue.

It's entirely possible. But I had triple checked it. So you might think that everything is correct, and then try it, and you have with you a paperweight.
And when you don't have the money to get it fixed, it's going to prove difficult getting it done freely.

Greetings folks!
Bought my International N9005 Note 3 yesterday and I'm extremely surprised of the functionality, battery life, power... everything! I had Xperia Arc S (1.4 GHz single core with 512 MB RAM - a huge step forward) so far, which was about to reach the end of it's time.
First day, I didn't manage to actually empty the battery, even though it got pretty heavy use. Especially by some classmates, who got extremely addicted in Sketchbook application and the opportunities for drawing pictures on it
Got the phone with 4.4.2 on top of it, saving root for later (don't wanna kill KNOX yet). No issues have occurred so far, GPS and all other features work fine, no reboots either, from what I have been reading here.
There are so many features, that it's gonna take ma a few days to actually discover them all
Anyway, great to see so many folks here and active ongoing development.
Welcome to the monster beast of all devices

First day, I didn't manage to actually empty the battery, even though it got pretty heavy use. Especially by some classmates, who got extremely addicted in Sketchbook application and the opportunities for drawing pictures on it
Got the phone with 4.4.2 on top of it, saving root for later (don't wanna kill KNOX yet). No issues have occurred so far, GPS and all other features work fine, no reboots either, from what I have been reading here.
There are so many features, that it's gonna take ma a few days to actually discover them all
Anyway, great to see so many folks here and active ongoing development.

Welcome mate and i hope you will enjoy this great (no pun intended) phone
I'm not really much of a developer due to lack of time, mainly focusing on helping fellow community members with guides and tutorials
Anyway, I have a firmware with XEO country code (Poland) at the moment. Attached a screenshot from Phone Info app.
According to sammobile.com, I should be able to receive somewhat newer firmware.

Refreshed within the phone, also checked via Kies, both claim that I have latest firmware. No region lock. Any ideas about that?
If anyone wonders - No, it is not a clone, S Pen works while hovering as well and all other tests also pass.

If you look at attached picture you can clearly see its not the latest version on the phone.
That's what he was asking about.

The problem is, I can't get it . Don't think I dare to download from sammobile and install it. Also, I would prefer keeping my data (so many apps)

Wrong section, it belongs in Q&A.
But to answer your question, ROMs can be used on either, no special instructions. The only difference between the D820 and D821 is the radios, everything else is exactly the same. :good:

You won't be disappointed, the Nexus 5 gets a lot of developer love.
D821 and and D820 only differs radio for LTE networks. However, the modem/baseband/radio images are the same for both wariant.

Just make sure you only flash modems meant for D821. Otherwise, you will have no data at the very least, or you could hard brick your device.

I've read somewhere that the modems are identical even after comparing hashes, probably only the chip itself is different.

Could be. Better safe than sorry though without actual proof of what would happen. I'm just not brave enough to flash the wrong modem to find out.

Don't worry, it's almost always better safe than sorry.
I took the adventurous route and flashed D820 modems (mine is D821). So far everything works fine, no loss of data, no missing bands, etc.
As stated here, only the modems from KRT16M have been verified equal and they are exactly the same (not even a single byte difference). However, if you're messing around with modems, be sure to have a backup of your EFS partition and store it somewhere else like on your PC or some sort of cloud storage since losing it means that you can't use it as a phone anymore (IMEI is lost and SIM card will be unreadable).
To OP: No, they share the same ROM. They even share the same factory image.

Very well said. +1 couldn't agree more about having an EFS backup not to mention a Nandroid at the ready in case something random happens.
So if modems can be flashed vice versa without an adverse effect.. I really wonder what are the differences between the two.

It's a physical, hardware-level difference, no kind of software tricks would allow it to change.
Thanks everyone. Sorry I got back to this thread just now.
