Hello,
i bought my trophy 7 in december, so i needed to make a live id with USA as country, because at that time Marketplace was not working in Belgium...
Now.. months later, apps are getting released from belgium, so you only can install them if you registered your phone with belgian live id
The only way to change my ID, is to reset the whole phone... so i lose all my contacts, messages etc...
Is there a way to change something in the registry?

There is no way to change that first windows live account. You must reset your phone.Period
But the only thing that you cant backup are the text messages...All other PIM data are stored in the cloud...
And if you reset you will have a locked phone again.
Hi Guys,
My hotmail email ID is linked to my country however every time i try to add a credit card the default country is the UK and i am unable to change that. Any idea how i can get paid apps?
Thanks
Get a new Live ID, and remember to choose your country to US or UK (hotmail.co.uk or something like that).
And apply the new live ID to your phone.
I had this problem also.
I created a new Live ID. I set a random UK address (but real address!). Registered the new ID with my phone (i reset the phone to factory settings)
Then I added my card with the same UK address, even though my card is not registered in UK.
It worked. I managed to even buy an app.
Before this, with my old live account I got an error registering my credit card.
my mate has a desire HD which he got from cpw but everything like ebay and google search comes up in dollars and i have no idea how to help him put it so everything is in pounds can anyone help please
thanks
adam
Maybe it has something to do with the google account that is attached with the phone? Try to update your location on google profile page or change to different account (settings -> accounts & sync).
It should be the UK, but lots of apps are missing from the marketplace on my new ROM. My phone is set to UK everywhere. Why are these apps gone?
Missing apps are: Britannica, YomoMedia, LinkedIn and WeatherDuck.
Obviously I'm hoping my account is OK.
Thanks
Log in to zune.net and go to My Account. There you'll see country, this will be the location where your account is set to.
Thanks. It turns out that the marketplace was just screwed up last night. Interesting.

Occasional I change mine - but need to change on PC and device.
Yup, marketplace and other services are under reconstruction. Microsoft must be in a rush for Xbox, windows phone and windows 8. If you just recently reset your phone you'll notice Zune artist pictures are low res.
Sorry if this was mentioned before.
I'd like to have saved contacts to phone call, but not to store it on
google or any other account. To be in my phone and nowhere else.
Not to synchronize in any way. Possible?
Best regards.
Manually add them to Sim card / Phone and disable any syncing.

Would you tell me how to do that, please?
I tried to find proper app or device, but to no avail.
Best regards.

Contacts > add contact and choose contact storage that you wanna use (in your case local/sim/phone rather than Google Account)
OR
Contacts > settings > export > SIM/Phone and then unsync your Google account. --- This will copy them from your Google account to your device/sim

Well, no local/sim/phone option in my case. That is the very problem.
Nexus 5, 4.4.2.
Best regards.
If you take them off Google and store them on the phone....not sure you can save to sim these days, only phone....they will be gone every time you flash a ROM.
Storing them to Google means they will always be there as soon as you sign in to Google.
You probably know this....just not sure why anyone wouldn't like it. ?
Sent from my N5, N7, Moto X, G Tab 3 or S2.....

I dislike to sync, for whatever reason. That is the way I like, with no
offend for other people opinion.

Why would they know my data? It is the part of the game, but I do not care
about that option. My problem is that you all have a mode to choose local/phone,
but I have it not. That, in fact, bothers me.
Best regards.
