on my old touch (elf) i was using the htc player to play music files
ok there is a tab on the home page but no more full application?
btw i was using one functionnality on this application: i was cutting a part of the music and i was able to set it to ring.
how can i do this with the tab?
am i forced to cut myself the music on my computer and past the file on the windows folder on the phone (old style way)?

It sounds like you need the MP3 Trimmer program. There is a post in this section that has the cab file for it. Try searching for "MP3 trimmer"...

mmh seems there is a problem
i've took the cab, installed it
but when i press the icon on the programs tab, nothing happens. the screen go blanck for a second and then i'm back on the program tab
edit: tried the QvGA version found on a topic in diamond section
work fine but since its qvga it's not usable
the vga version i've found in the raphael forum don't work
tried 3 other cabs in the xda forums and none working on my touch pro
is it beacause it's in french?
if yes, does anybody got a cab working on the french touch pro ?

What ROM do you use? Some cooked ROM or the original stock ROM?
the original french (orange) rom
i'll flash the rom in some month when i'll get ride off the original rom ^^
In this case I think you probably already have the MP3Trimmer installed. As far as I know it comes pre-installed on all stock ROMs.

i think i'll hard reset my phone
i've installed lot of application to test, perhaps one of them brick the mp3 trimmer?
i've found a mp3 trimmer .exe in the windows folder, does not work neither.
btw i've found some program in the window folder that are not in the program list
(such as taskmanager)

Maybe just the shortcut is gone. please check if you have a file called "MP3Trimmer.exe" in your windows folder to make sure.

yes i have it but it had the same bug
when i try to lauch it, i can see "mp3 trimmer" on the top on the screen and then it shut off
That sounds bad. Probably some DLL file is missing or something. I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas (except for a hard reset at least).

after the hard reset no more mp3 trimmer.exe in the windows folder
seem that in the orange stock rom this application is not installed and when you install it you can't run it
very strange coz the QVGA version work fine

I wish you luck, hopefully it's worth it! If not you should consider a ROM change. I would suggest ROMeOS v1.40 - it's also available in french.
yep i'll change the rom perhaps
but before i have to dump my rom in case of i brick the phone
but not enough time to flash it now ^^

hi, i tested it out on my 2.1 also....works well.
1 thing i found though, how do you exit the application when finished with it? there is no logout/exit option. i had to restart my phone. i dont want to use task killer, but am hoping that i just missed something
to exit from skype you must to move on the third tab and from there you have 2 variants: press menu and then exit or press on your status (where you change from online to away and so on) and choose disconnect (exit)

I used the search tool thinking that they'd be somthing on this already but no joy!
Spent hours today trying to get the gameboid app working but with no luck what so ever. I downloaded the bios bin, made a folder for it on my sd card. The app loads this up no problem. However when i try to load a rom i can see the gba d-pad on screen for a split second and then it kicks me back to my homescreen !
Has anyone had any luck with getting this working on the sensation? Dying to relive my childhood with Mariokart/Pokemon
It was pulled from the market, but it is available for free on Slideme. I Dl'd it from slideme earlier today. I think the updated version that is on slideme works with the sensation. Alternatively, you may just have a bad bios file.

For me it works.. I've just installed it and then i had to choose the bios file first, so i have chosen the same like on my hd2. Everything works well like before, so the problem should be your bios file.. But i think its not allowed to post them here right? Else I could give you mine..

ive have a very annoing problem, normaly when you want to have desktop sites loaded on the stock browser you can change it in the advance settings, so i did that.
But but but... still when i load a site like engadget.com, its still the mobile site that loads up, can anyone help me whit this problem ?

:screwy: it may be a stupid quest but, which feedbacks do you get from your devices?
Such as "0 sent, 1 failed" feedback? Does your 7+ show you notifications of bluetooth coming files or doesn't it? If negative (another stupid quest) is it visible and reachable?
Did you try to send/receive from/to another device instead of your HTC?

I already paired my tab plus with both my htc touch pro 2 n htc IS.
when i try to send file from my both htc device to my tab plus, there is no notification shown in my tab plus. However, there are notification shown in both my htc device saying thay failed to sent file.

Ok so I could give you an example. The same thing happened to me with my Moto Xoom. I couldn't send files to my Xoom from my Note (with custom ROM) when I had the stock rom on it. Then happened the opposite situation and all I can say with my experience is that it just depends from Roms/Devices
I repeat I got your same issue trying to send files from a single device (example my Note) to my Xoom. But Xoom receives files from others and the Note normally sends files to other devices... It's a mistery. No issue with my P6200 anyway

For those having this issue, (like me) I found a solution that works better than what I am used to.
Just go to the Play store and download the Bluetooth File Transfer app. This works like a charm and allows me to transfer files and quick bluetooth shutdown when done transferring.
I still can't figure out why transferring files do not work out of the box though. Anyone find a native workaround?
U don need to install apps... if yur tab can't receive file, u try send one file via bt to other device. After that, yur tab might be able to receive file via bt from other device .... I tried n it works ...
