HI, i found this software and i like to share it with you guys..
It's a wvga supported musicID kinda app, works very nice! The official site (midomi.com) says to find it in marketplace but it's not there so here is another link:

Midomi Software seem to only able to access server when using Wi-Fi. When I used it over Edge's Connection. it couldn't access server. Anyway, it's a good software.

Hi , this problem suddenly occured here as well. before it worked. . You can try to fix it by changing the registry :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Melodis\Midomi\midomiGU IDType
from 3 to 1
i tried this but it didnt work for me cause it was already set to 1..

Works perfect on my htc pure, one thing i can't find is the history of songs searched for! anyway to tweek the software to make it store the song history?

Hello! I just switched from (i dont really remember what rom i was using) over to DarthLegend HTC Hero Rom and i cannot seem to find the Skype app in the Market. I have tried some other apps like Fring and Nimbuzz but those go through every single message i have sent and received and they dont support conference chats. Can somebody send me a link to the file?

goto 2 shared . com and click search and then put skipe.apk and there ya go!!!

Will this work for all networks and Android handsets? Can you send text messages with it?

I wouldnt of thought so, theres only 2 official apps I believe there's the verizon one which will only work with verizon and then theres the three UK version which only works on android 1.5 and the three network

here is Skype apk i pulled from the Market back in December '09... I only installed it for a couple days to play with it, but happened to back up the apk before uninstalling it from the device...everything worked well, as i recall... enjoy...

Does anybody know if that apk would work on a t-mobile google nexus one? Thanks to whoever replies.

One problem you got mate, t-mobile wont let you skype from there network it blocks it, but you will be okay on wireless/WiFi
Same with fring t mobile blocked it

I didn't know that T-Mobile blocked Fring... I was actually on it using wi-fi last day and it was awesome to be able to use Skype on it without using my minutes!

the old unsupported skype lite (beta) app is still functioning, but not 100% sure on how long. it allows you to talk to your skype contacts, and msg your skype contacts, but it does use your minutes when you are talking to your skype contacts.

So, has anyone tried this with 2.2?

Shows contacts but no way of making a VOIP call

Are you kidding? Skype original doesn´t support Win mobile 6.5.! I found Skype for WM 3.0 and it doesn´t work anymore.

I know about Nimbuzz and Fring. Try google mate.

i'm not fcking kidding it's working with no probs... last week been ot Romania and got no coverage , i found a WiFi network , connected and talked to my family for a while so it works like a charm !

of course, original Skype app for WM 3.0, it was first, what I tried. But it didn´t work. Maybe I found and downloaded on Google bad version...

I have the SkypeMobile.CAB with File-Date 19.06.2009 (most of the internal files have this date) already installed. And skype works 'fine', it depends on the connection, but no software-problems at all.
Sorry, but I can´t remember, where i get this cab-file and it is nearly 12MB, so it´s to big.

I have an EXT package for the now discontinued Skype app, and it works fine on WinMo 6.5.5. If nobody beats me to it, I will CAB is up when I get home tonight and post it here.

P.S. lol the cab is 12mb large and the max from XDA is 8mb ... so pm with ur skype/[email protected] and i'll send it to ya !

Skype 3.0 works great on my HD2 WM 6.5.3...

Nimbuz recently keep failing to sign in to skype and so far Skype stopped supporting Windows Mobile devices

Also three network which provides free skype calls, recently stoped providing the preconfigured skype app to work on WM phones, no longer available to download.

I have the same problem, the sound is only available through the external speaker of the phone. The only solution I have is to connect the included headset, this way I can use also the microphone of the headset.

confirmed video not working on:
1.Better than life mod by oldmacnut on my cdma VZW SGT (2.2 froyo)
2. Stock VZW rom (2.2 froyo)
3. SGT Honeycomb 2.5 (3.0 Honeycomb) [cameras dont work so no way to test]

Hi I don't think skype video works below 2.3 gingerbread...correct me if I am wrong.

Please add it to next overcome Firmware version.

This was tested on my GSM Tab running Overcome (Gingerbread) but it should work on any Gingerbread ROM (I don't know about Froyo). I logged in with another Skype account on my PC and two way video chat works the way it should

Works on mine too but back camera is not working. Everytime i switch from front to back camera it gives blank pic and cant switch to front again. Any solutions?

Back camera doesn't work here as well. Front works well.. only way for me to switch back to front from back camera was to put the call on hold then un hold to reset the camera.

I hadn't tried the back camera when I tested before posting but you seem to be right

i can confirm its not working. I tried a workaround with disabling front before activating the back camera but it didn't help. But I don't care its awesome to finally have the front camera working

Two way video working...
Other side hear me but i cant hear them... ( Both when calling to PC and Phone installed skype)
Same also when in just voice call; cant hear other side...

[Q] Facebook Check-In Integration

Hi
I would like to create an application for Windows Phone 7 which posts my location on facebook.
I made it so that it posts a bingmaps location. Though today I have read that there is Facebook Check-in for this, though I couldn't find a tutorial or whatsoever related to this.
Only this:

but this doesn't help at all...
Does somebody know a way to implement this?

Why reimplement an already working solution? Goto Me and use checkin option. It is working in Mango and I use it quite often.
