Hey Guys,
For screen protection, I applied armorsuit day before yesterday on my tablet.
Picked it up yesterday, although I see some spots on the screen but the big problem is the response time on every touch
I have to press very hard whenever I touch the screen, if the tablet is on the mattress even after pressing it hard it ignores the touch
Then I have to pick it up and press hard.
I don't know if this is something to do with armorsuit installation or TF300 touch is like that.
Any help\suggestions will be appreciated.
Note: If I don't see the response time improving unwillingly I will have to remove the armorsuit protection,(Waste of 18 bucks)

I have had my XDA II for two months and since my last synch I find I am now tapping with the stylus in vain on my screen to enter the system. The screen is in perfect condiition but now does not respond. When I pressed the record or camera buttons on the side the programs load but I can't select anything because the screen does not respond to any stylus taps.
I did a hard reset and now I can't get past the first screen that says please tap here to continue.
Has anybody experienced this problem and can they suggest a way forward for me to get it resolved ASAP as a I am going to Spain tomorrow with an XDA II which is not responding to stylus taps.
Sounds like a hardware fault if you have tried a hard reset.
no response
I now know what the problem was.
I put on a new screen protector. And for some reason the XDA cannot sense any taps on the screen from the stylus.
I removed the screen protector and it works fine.
However the XDA did work with the last screen protector that I put on, so I do not know why it doesn´t with the new ones.

I have been using screen protectors from various manufaturers, each time I had to re-calibrate the screen (for that reason) but has never come across situation as described above

Tapping problem
hello mate
The reason for your stylus not to work with the screen protector is because you have the edge of the protector toching the sides od the xda.....make sure you have a very small gap between them.
You didnt mention the screen protector in your first post, I had the same with a protector on an ipaq that was slightly oversize and touched the very edges, no taps worked either until I removed the protector.
When I got the nexus s a couple of weeks ago it was just fine but now the screen just feels hard to swipe on if I have mildly moist/sweaty hands. It also happens when I apply pressure on the screen
My question is why is the screen so hard to swipe on is my oleophobic coating wiped off? Or is every nexus s just like that?
The thing is it becomes hard to just swipe sometimes because it feels like an effort everytime I move my hand across the screen.
Just for info I never put on a screen protector on this phone
I have had my tablet for quite a while now. I put a skinpea brand screen protector (wet application) on it years ago and had a spare that's been sitting around. My original protector has some BAD yellowing going on so I finally decided to remove it and replace it. I powered down, removed the old one. I noticed some significant static when removing it. I replaced it with a new one, worked out all the bubbles and accidently turned it on while doing so. When I was done removing bubbles I turned the screen back on and tried to use the tablet but now I'm getting....random response from the touchscreen. It managed to accidently bring up google search which brought up a keyboard with swype. I'm getting "ghost" touches all over the screen all the time from the looks of things. Not just touches...small swipes. Did I kill my touchscreen controller? Is there anything I can do or am I SOL? Has anyone seen something like this before? Screen static/removing a screen protector = effed up touch?
I have a Blu Studio Energy (D810U, I believe). I went to a lot of trouble getting a ROM that had the fewest bugs, but once I did, it worked well until I lent it to a "friend" who promptly smashed the screen. Not just the digitizer but the LCD as well.
I ordered a screen replacement and swapped out the screen. I've done this before, so no sweat - at least until I turned on the phone and found that while it was reading touch input and the backlight was on, there was no picture on the screen. It responded by vibrating when I pressed the capacitative keys on the bottom, and when I pulled the screen slightly out with a suction cup the edges of the LCD were lit up. I removed the assembly, replaced it repeatedly, and finally bought a new screen assembly and put that in. Every time, I had the exact same results.
Does anybody have any idea what's going on here?
Hello. I purchased a Nokia 5.3 over a year ago and it began registering phantom screen touches. Apps would open, options would be clicked, one finger would cause a pinch action, etc. It became so bad and frequent that the phone was unusable so I had the screen professionally replaced. The problem reoccurred shortly after the new screen was installed so they installed a second screen under warranty. All was fine after several months yet now the problem has begun to pop up again and seems to becoming more frequent.
I'm fairly careful about what apps I install, limit myself to Google Play and have ESET mobile security installed to scan new apps and periodically the rest of the phone.
Does anybody have any insight into this? I'm completely stumped.
Thanks.
Often, it is caused by the device itself. For example, the Ghost touch of the iPhone X was caused by a faulty component within the display module. However, a wrong fit in the device or the motherboard can also cause a ghost touch on your smartphone. This is often the case after a repair or a fall.
I also had ghost touches and still have them, but found a way to get rid of them.
I cleared the cache partition in recovery mode. This helped a lot.
Moreover I noticed that the screen protectors are sometimes a mess.
I had a screen protector on my old phone for 5 years without issues. On my current phone I already have the second screen protector within 1 year.
The first screen protector had a lot of ghost touches. After dissassembling the screen protector, everything was fine again. I glued a new screen protector on the phone. Actually it was the same as the first one because the package I bought consisted of 2 screen protectors. Next time I will try another brand.
--> Do you have a screen protector?
Try the following steps:
1.Clear cache partition in recovery mode.
2.If it doesn't help and you have a screen protector take it off.
