Hello all,
I just tested the new ROM 7.8 for my HTC 7 Pro (ROM from this Thread :
[ROM] HTC 7 PRO 7.8 working unlocked 7.10.8835) for almost a week without major problem, but on Thursday I ran out of battery, and since it is impossible to start the phone and charge the battery.
I do not know if this problem is related to the ROM, but I never had this problem before putting this ROM. Have already heard of a similar problem, and how can I get out without having to buy a battery.
When I connect my phone to the charger it turns on automatically, but it does not load and turns off after 1 minute has can close. When I start in bootloader mode, it stays on more longer, but I'm not sure that's enough for load another ROM.
Thank you for your help.

Hi guys,
Bit of a weird one this... my phone has been working perfectly normal for some 9 months now, but all of a sudden it has decided to play up when turning on the phone.
If I turn the phone on with battery power it hangs on the boot screen (which shows the version information) on doesn't get any further. If however, I boot with the USB cable plugged in (hence charging), the phone eventually comes ob after around 5-10 minutes!
I have tried installing a number of different ROMs (Qtek, Dopod etc.) but every ROM gives the same behaviour.
Would I be right in thinking that this is more than likely a hardware problem?
Thanks,
Stig.
if you experience the same behavior with different roms, it sounds like its an hardware problem indeed...
When the phone is on and running, do you have any problem ?
No problem when the phone finally comes on. Its certainly a weird one. I have since got it sorted via the insurance.
Hi folks,
I have some new problems but don`t know where they come from.
I have flashed the newest Version of the energy rom and everything was fine. One day my phone falls down and the battery and the cover get lose and the phone gets off. I put the battery in and powered on the phone but the phone stop at the boot screen. I`ve tried serveral thing like Reset, Hard Reset and again took out the battery for some minutes but still it hangs in the boot screen. So I transfered the flash on the SDcard and flashed the rom again. Everything worked great till 2 days later. I was searching something in opera and opera was very slow. I closed opera and tried to open it again but the whole phone freezed. So I reseted it and the phone started boot and showed the Energy Wallpaper and a small white box in the lower left side what is only shown when the phone is started the first time. But the phone freezed again at this point. After reseting the phone again ist hanged again in the boot screen. I flashed the phone again and right now it works fine but I don``t wanna flash my phone every two days.
Is it a hardware failiure caused of the drop or is it a failure of the rom?
maybe post this in the rom thread?
maybe something inside the phone broke when it fell ? This random freezes shouldn't occur. I used Energy Rom 3 for about a week and didn't experience any freezes what so ever.
here's an ideea. Flash a stock rom and see if the problems still persist and if so, you should see your warranty and get your phone fixed.
hope that helped.
you should flash a stock rom then switch bak to nrg and if that doesnt fix it then youll have to get a new phone sorry mate !
Hi folks,
just have to wait 2 weeks for my new Vario IV from T-Mobile. So I have to work 2 weeks with this geek original Rom what is really ugly and slow.
same problem happening to me, except i have not dropped my phone.
should my phone crash whilst using it and i have to soft reset or pull out the battery then the rom will instantly reinstall itself and require me to align the screen again. sometimes i have to hard reset for it to do this.
I have problem flashing my HTC Fuze with the new ROM - I was using EnergyROM 2.0 but failed to flash to 3.0. I am however able to flash it back to the ATT ROM without problem.
Tried from USB flashing and from the microSD card - nothing works at this time???
Not sure what the issue are at this time.
This Energy v3.0 standard is a poor rom for
htc touch diamond p3700
hard spl 1.24
radio 1.00.25.05
Bad points-
have had it on for 30 mins and phone heats up,taskmanager in top right gone and phone freeze, using 89% ram standard , 98%after use, slide lock not working properly after power off, battery draining fast eg down 6% in 5mins,sometimes stert menu doesnt work.
Good Points-
manila is smooth as silk, everything is very responsive, quick, good programs built in,
one rom that could be the best but not for the htc diamond p3700
will read all the posts for problems for fixes
its not true!!!!!!!!!
i am using the same rom,,, and it works perfectly

Hi Guys,
Have done a LOT of research on this but havent found any solutions to my problem, which is very urgent actually.
The situation was as follows: I have bought Htc Hd2 modified with android, uses nand and boots automatically without memory card to version 2.2. As I bought it used, the phone was connected to previous owners gmail adress, so couldn't download any apps etc and also had the problem, that today when i connected the phone to wall charger - it didnt charge, dont know if it was problem of usb or what so ever, but it didnt charge. The last charge which i made was 2 days ago and it went all ok. I have a guess that maybe its usb fault , havent bought new one yet, but will do it for sure. The question is , if the battery has discharged, and the phone wont turn on now, if i will the usb and connect it to my phone - will it charge , if it was the fault of usb? If i understood correctly, then the orange light should come on ? The problem just is ,that i downloaded nand rom, and installed it, basically got till the point where it gets till about 15% and then the program failed on the pc, so i removed battery of phone and switched it on. As a consequence, it doesnt fully load, it just gets till the sreen after magldr and thats all. So now the problem is even more serious, because i dont have an rom to start the phone , and the battery has discharged. It display me some errors, tryed another rom, then another error and after this ,phone died, the battery was discharged.
When i installed 2nd rom, it was "gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v9" got til the screen when pc connects with phone ,the phone display usb....usb but nothing happened for about 5min then phone died...
Also have a question about nand roms available here - android roms hd2 - first in google, i just cant post any html adresses.. I downloaded several of them ,but there was no exe application to run, how can they be used?
What could be solutions for my problems? Sorry for my english, typed in a hurry, hope on your knowledge, to help me.
Best regards.
so i was using my HTC 7 Pro on Dynamics v2.0 custom rom for a year then i updated to v 2.2, everything was fine, but after some days i found my phone off, i though it was the battery, i plugged in the charger but nothing and after some minutes the phone became hot, i tried with PC but same thing, i took it to 3 repairers but they said they didnt found the problem, so if someone can help with anything it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Did you try to use a new battery?
Does the phone show the red charging led, when you plug in the charger?
Hi,
i tried to encrpyt my rooted One A9 yesterday. It started the encryption as it is supposed to (Battery charged to 89%, charger still plugged).
But about 2 minutes later the screen just turned black.
Now the phone can't be turned on, no matter which button i press.
It is also not recognized by my pc when i plug it in.
Also the orange charging LED is constantly lit although it isn't plugged to any charger.
As i can't seem to find anything about this issue on google or here in the forums, i hope someone can help.
Or can i simply throw it away now?
Specs:
European HTC One A9 (no branding)
Unlocked Bootloader (TWRP Recovery)
Rooted (SuperSU)
Stock HTC Rom (can't recall the version, should be latest european)
Thanks in advance
Solution... Kind of...
Ok, since i got impatient i opened the phone and removed the battery to turn it off completely.
It seems to work again now, although i got no way to make sure because my screen broke in the process of opening it :crying:
But i can hear the bootsounds and my smartwatch connects when its on.
Anyways, for people having this problem in the future, it should help to just let the device run out of battery (which should take ages, since its off and only the led is on).
Thank God a new screen costs almost the same as a new device...
