Hiya, sorry possibly Noob question. I am running cleanRom 5 and am having the same issues below that were outlined in the synergyrom thread.
Namely, when i get to the second song in a playlist, it stops and my only remedy is to force stop the music player. I do notice that it seems to keep playing the song after the song is over. That is, if I have a 3:30 long song, the player will show that it is playing 4 minutes or 5 minutes or however long I let it go, and thus is not skipping to the next song.
And this morning it started playing from the phone speaker after a couple of songs going through earphone (actually speakers through the earphone jack)
I know I did not have these issues on Synergy ICS build.
And I would post is the dev thread but A: it seems to occur on both ROMS on JB and B: Too much of Noob to be allowed to post there!
Edited to say this stock music player issue...

Still with both, I'm also experiencing some bugs with the music player. Freezes every now and then and FC's. Weirdest thing is sometimes I'm listening to music with headphones and when it changes to the next song it will start playing out the phone speakers like it forgot headphones were plugged in. Pause and play and it recognizes the headphones again. I also get random dropouts every now and then during playback with the screen off.
Does this with play music and apollo.
I'm also having issues with Google Music player - it will play a couple of songs and then just stop. I can exit out of the application and try to restart it but it never plays again until I either reboot the phone or kill the Google Music process and restart it.
I have not, however, had any issues with the music playing out of the speakers when the headset is plugged in.

Can someone please try to replicate this bug. Basically when listening to music over earphones using the stock Samsung music player, if i launch a game, the music immediately cuts off from my earphones and blasts out of the phone speaker on the back. The 2 games I've tried is Ski Safari and Subway Surf. This is quite annoying since I like to listen to music while playing a game. Instead, it blasts out of the phone speaker and I end up panicking and stopping the music on my commute. Can someone please confirm that this is not my phone specific and is a universal ROM bug? Thank you in advance.
VRBLK3 OTA
The way to fix this seems to be the plug the headphones in and out. However when you re-launch a game the bug will replicate itself.
I am running stock jb leak 3 as well and can confirm using the Samsung music player and opening ski safari with headphones plugged in, the volume did not change to the speaker.
Hope that helps out.

I had this happen to me the other day. I am on CleanROM 5 & that has never happened before. I have been on the rom for a few weeks. Listening to the headphones & the next song in cue starts playing out of the phone speaker. I had to unplug/plug in the headset to get it working. weird.

Bumping this because the K3 OTA still has this issue. Anyone have this experience still?

I'm seeing an issue like this as well with Verizon JB OTA.
Another thing I'm noticing is that while I am listening to a podcast using Google Listen and I get a text message, the audio pauses as expected in my headphones, but when it comes back on, it does so at a really loud volume and then it ramps back down to what it was before.
I've also noticed that when listening to podcast and playing a game like Angry Birds where you can be taken to a video ad, sometimes the video ad's audio begins playing through the speaker instead of the headphones. But then, other ad's audio works as expected through the headphones. When the audio begins playing via the speaker instead of headphones, I have to unplug the headphones and plug them back in to get resumed podcast audio back into headphones.
I'm not rooted and fully stock. This was definitely not an issue with ICS so it's new.
This happens when I am listening to music on any player Apollo, google music, ect. I play a song on my speaker and go to pause the song and then 2 seconds later the song will start again but pause itself after 1 seconds. Its a huge inconvenience because when i pause my music I don't need it to start even though it stops after a few seconds. had this issue with all the jellybean nightlies. I am on the latest build. Issue is also present when i have headphones in. Only this time their is no issue is when I pull my headphones from the jack. the music doesn't play for a few seconds out the speaker.

Seriously? Did you read the last page of the CM10 dev thread. This issue has been very well covered and a solution is described. Why would you make a new thread for this?

I'm seeing this issue also. I tried looking through the CM10 dev threads (including the nightly build thread) for the coverage and solution you mentioned, but cannot find it. Would it be possible to post a link to it?
Thanks.
Hi,
I'm on the final CM10.2.0 build (Dec 2 2013), MF1 firmware + ML1 modem, and I'm having a new audio problem that wasn't there on CM 10.1.2 before...
When I reboot the phone it pairs correctly with my car radio over Bluetooth, and Google Play Music plays my playlist just fine that way. Then when I leave the car, that becomes the only app that can do audio - Youtube, for example, is silent and in fact playback gets stuck 15 seconds into each video, then advances one frame every 20 seconds or so. Other apps like the alarm clock or phone ringer have no audio either. When I got a call, I had no call audio for the first 10 seconds, then suddenly it kicked in.
This persists until I reboot. Then all apps play audio correctly until the next time I get in the car and it plays over Bluetooth. Yes, I've checked my speaker volume levels
Also oddly, the first time post-reboot that I get in the car, it auto-plays like it used to. But subsequent times, I have to go to Google Play Music and hit Play manually.
Has anyone seen something like this? Searching hasn't turned up any similar problems.
Thanks!
Just to wrap up my own question in case others see this too -
The problem seems to be Google Play Music. After my OP, I flashed back to stock and back to CM 10.2.1, a newer build than I had before. With this clean state, I didn't do much except set up the car pairing, and within a few tries it was back to the problem. I started using Apollo and uninstalled GPM, and have been running for a few weeks without any problems.
Hi, I noticed this problem while I was at the gym today listening to music.
When playing a song the song will play fine, but when the song ended and it was time to play the next, I noticed it was taking very long. So I opened up my phone and noticed while the song plays fine, and ends, the little timer towards the bottom would only be halfway through the song! In a 9 minute song I was listening to, the song had ended and when I checked the timer it was only at 3:24 seconds, anyone else experiencing this problem, and or have a fix for it? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Good Day everyone!,
I was a long time sticking to OOS 10 but I recently decided to upgrade.. Overall it was mostly worth it but one thing does significantly annoy me.
Sometimes when I use Spotify, the notification suddenly disappears on lockscreen or if I jump to the next song, the cover from previous song is still shown altough the next song already plays..
And on an music player that happens aswell that sometimes I play the next song but the previous one is shown.. It either stays like that until I skip manually (altough sometimes that happens for a few songs on the local music player) or if If I restart the song it comes back (not always).
Does somebody have the same issues? Any ideas how to solve it? I wonder if a clean install would solve that issue but if there is another way it would be more handy!
Many thanks!
