Change the startup picture

I didn't read everything but most of them say that i have to change the picture in the .nbh file and set up the device again.
I'm not going to do that... It's too complicated.
Thank you anyway

Captivate stock GB (KK4) Camera.apk needed

Hello all:
I just installed the stock Gingerbread (KK4) on my Cappy. Was missing the modded Camera that I installed using SGS tools, so I just went ahead and installed it. It works well, although I still cannot use the power button to take pictures, and I get FC when I try to take videos.
I tried the other hacked camera that is on SGS tools, and it also crashes when taking video. Unfortunately when I try to go back to the saved version of the Camera apk, I think that got overwritten by one of the two above so somehow I have managed to lose the stock apk.
Can anyone please post the stock Camera apk from your KK4 ROM here, or send it to me at [email protected]? Greatly appreciated. Or if anyone has suggestions for a better camera to use please let me know.
Jit
Just following up on my post - found a Camera apk that works great with the Cappy on GB - although it is apparently from a different ROM.

[ICS][ALPHA][02-03-2012]CM9 with camera support

This is a snapshot of my work on bringing camera support to Tezet's Milestone2 ICS port.
This is continuation of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520572
- it's based on CM9 snapshot from March 2nd
- it may contain more (or less) bugs from Tezet's builds. It's simply different, newer etc.
- it should be possible to load this without factory reset on top of Tezet's CM9 builds and the other way around, though the last time I've tried this was early February...
- there's no need to wipe dalvik cache - the update script does this
- the fix for SIM lock pin is not included
- there's no Torch and file manager app. Don't ask
Camera notes:
The work is based on Atrix ICS camera support, with added overlay emulation.
What is working:
live preview
zooming
flash
focus
exposure compensation etc
taking photos
some 3rd party apps (Pano, CameraFX, Barcode scanner)
doesn't crash when enterinng video/panorama mode
generally much more stable
... probably not much more
What is not working:
panorama mode
video recording
a lot more
Other stuff: (compared to previous version)
- bluetooth should be OK (please test)
- aGPS should work
I highly recommend to do a nandroid backup before trying it.
Latest version available at http://code.google.com/p/cm9-milestone2/downloads/list
If your phone is stuck on Google logo, it means you have chosen a wrong version and you need to recover your phone from the SBF file.
Repository:
repo init -u git://github.com/rondoval/android.git -b ics
All the credits go to:
- Tezet, for the Milestone2 port
- tpruvot, Quarx2k, for their tremendous efforts on Defy support (and thus Milestone2)
- whole Atrix-Dev-Team, Raviprasad V Mummidi, zivan56 for their tremendous work on the camera driver
Just backing up my MS2 now. Going to flash it over CM7 Tezet and see how it goes.
Cheers for the efforts
omg thanks ! download...

Actually this would be a good test... I did that in december. I had some issues, bu I think that was mainly due to wrong version of gapps.
If you're still planning to try upgrading from CM7 to CM9: You may need to wipe telephony provider data and deskclock after upgrade.
/data/data/com.android.deskclock/databases/alarms.db
/data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db
Please tell us how did it go
hi, rondoval.

I know it is CM9 I said I was flashing (upgarding) FROM CM7.
As per your advice I cleared alarms.db and telephony.db and was going well.
I also was unable to find the fix for the SIM PIN lock, so I just disabled it.
I haven't yet tried the gapps for ICS because the download through multiupload.com is not working (seems as though multiupload in general is down).
I can confirm that the camera works (photos only) and was able to upgrade from CM7 with no issues without wiping my data.
The ROM is smooth and seems to handle most tasks I have thrown at it. However, I am finding 3D performance a bit lesser than that experienced on CM7 (not a major issue).
Cheers.
Good work, thx! Glad to see we have one more dev working on our MS2.
This rom is awesome!!! =D
Someone can upload the Gapps 4.0.3 please ? because the link on the other post is dead.
Thanks in advance

Is there any bug for the touch?
Since when I am touching and holding on the screen, it displays I'm swiping horizontally instead of holding it (I enabled "Show touches" in Development Tools)
I believe i might have run into a bug, Im not sure if anyone has note this bug or not. In the apps menu, if you hold a application, you can drag it to Remove which will uninstall the app normally, however at the moment, dragging it to Remove does nothing. Does anyone have a idea whats wrong?
i have a huge problem. when my phone is booting up, it only shows the google logo, and.. nothing happend. only a black screen with backlights.
if i try the X factory reset, the screen with an exclamation mark pops up -
but if i press the @ key, nothing happen.
if i try to the connect my phone with RSD lite, the bootloader is loading but shows 'battery low
cannot program'
when i was trying to load the ROM my battery was ~50%...
what should i do?
after a few times failing with the @ - it works.. one time..pressed the factory reset - booted up - still bugged with the google boot up logo...
hi, aznsniper
i have the same problem,i have no idea to solve it. sorry... maybe rondoval will fix it in next build.
@jimbo0815
Did you factory wipe, cache wipe and dalvik wipe before installing the rom? If you did, is it possible that you installed the wrong version? Just my 2 cents worth.

The camera is working fine for me (green lens), but it only worked after I used Display Orientator to force portrait mode.

Am I the only one experiencing nothing but landscape mode? I've toggled auto-rotate on and off in both system settings and my launcher settings, to no avail. Everything is stuck in landscape mode. I installed this over Epsy's CM9 after clearing cache and dalvik... am I missing something here?
Try taking some libs from ICS
Like the ones in /system/lib/hw

It is the only major bug. If you want portrait mode you have to use the app Display orientator from the market and set it to bottom left I think, you can take a look at the first seconds of the video (or the complete thing )

[EDIT] Sorry forget it, I managed to connect to a wifi network
As the screen initially is not correctly rotated, my "Enter PIN" screen doesn't show the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons, so I can't unlock the SIM...
Could someone please attach the .apk file for Screen Orientator so I can resolve this silly problem? Thanks a lot!!

Apk for the Display orientator: http://db.tt/veQqzD2R
I think bottom left makes everything look correct.
After some hours with the ROM, I can say that it works smoothly, except:
- The physical keys illumination didn't work until I activated-deactivated-activated autobrightness. Now they work but they are too bright in comparision with the screen brightness.
- I got 1 random reboot while playing a game
- Sometimes the system hangs completely (power button never awakes the phone). The sollution is to remove battery. Happened 3 times, all of them I think I was charging the phone and unplugged it.
- I shot 3 photos with flash, and they are shot out of time, when the camera is still focusing, so the result is blurry. Without flash the pics are good.
A curiosity: orientation sensor works in the Camera app (if you turn the phone, the icons rotate accordingly).
the rom is very well but he does not allow me to install the whatsapp, I have tried unloading it and installing from the card, from the play and nothing..., he says that "the application is not installed" and in the play web he says that it is not compatible with the mobile. On all the last roms the same error meets to me

[Q] Camera not working (Samsung Galaxy SL i9003)

Hello experts.
i am having a problem using my camera in galaxy SL (GT-i9003).I know how the problem occurred but i don't know how to solve it.
Well i came across those secrets codes for samsung mobiles and as a newbie i went through all the codes and checked what they did.
The problem occurred when i tried this code " *#*#34971539#*#* - Detailed camera information "
i accidentally clicked on some option to update camera firmware. It said updating suddenly. I didnt knew how to cancel it then the camera stopped working after the reboot.
My phone was running the official value pack DDLF2 firmware and rooted.
I flashed the same firmware again hoping that the problem would be solved and rooted it again. I opened the camera application and it opened and thought it was solved ....**i actually dont remember if it actually worked**
After that i installed cyanogenMod 10.1 from sd card. Then whilw using it i realized the camera was not working ...
Can i solve the problem??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i forgot to mention one thing when i switch to secondary camera it works.i can click every thing on the sceen
>settings
>mode
etc.
The screen is just plain blank when using the primary (main) camera secondary camera can still take pictures.
and one more thing before this problem occurred there used to be only one folder inside the DCIM folder
i.e DCIM>Camera
but now there is another folder also named 100AND
GT-I9003 users can u please provide me with what u seen using this code(dont click on "YES" if something pop ups)
*#*#34971539#*#*
these are my results i just want to compare with some one.

FW UPDATE 2.03
Are you sure you want to update?
YES NO
this box pops up
when click YES update process starts
this is what damaged the camera at the first place.
As i have read through other forums this changes the firmware.
now after a restart when this update finishes.....
the "Camera firmware" app which i mentioned above shows a size of 4.00 KB
seems that the Phone to CAM FW Write option makes changes to this app.
Now my question is that cant it be solved if this app is taken out from the rooted phone whose camera is not damaged (original firmware). And i could replace the existing one with original app. This might get it solved.......
I want to give it a try just need the app to replace can some one please help me with this file
try to reflash full DDLF2 in download mod using odin3 v1.85 only

anyways thank u for ur help.
hey bro, try flashing froyo stcok roms
some users reported that they fixed the issue by flashing same rom several times, but for others the problem remains unsolved...so it's really hard issue
I think codes can brick the phone's hardware...like overclocking the CPU to very high frequencies
anyway good luck!

well yes i read that too.
i falshed DDLF2 rom several times now.
i want to ask you some thing after the flashing process finishes and below PASS message there are numbers (RATIOS)
like
2:2
1:59
2:1
2:3
what does these numbers mean???
this are examples of numbers i got while flashing.
Now i am getting 2:2 below the message for the last 4 times i tried.
does these number mean something?
may be there is some relation between the solution to the problem and number of times to flash related with these numbers?
