I dont think that the people replying to you were actual employees, were they? It seems as though they are just random users who also liked the page and saw your post.

Randoms trolling u pretty hard

Dude, I highly doubt they work for the company. They're just random people on Facebook and you did kinda freak out at them for no reason.
ermagerd, TOS. I've linked people to them before - from T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint in recent memory - and I sure don't work for all of them. Not even one. I'm a biology student who has weird hobbies like reading legalese for the lulz (also called, "anything to procrastinate more is fascinating").
I mean, I post here but I don't work here. I post on tons of forums and give tons of advice about everything from piercings to fish care to making movie props. Facebook is just like a degenerate forum. People are bored - doesn't mean they work for anything related to what they're blabbing about.

This thread makes no sense. Those weren't Straight Talk employees. So Wtf were you wasting time there for? Seems you sty yourself up for the rope a dope.

They sure didn't act like employees. They were most likely other followers of the Straight Talk page on Facebook.

Not really, as they had my account details.
Also they were 'trolling' everyone who had a negative comment on ST's page for about four to five hours.
Notice all of the females had three names, private profiles etc.
Plus they sounded exactly like the ST CS reps.

Question for zelendel

So was samsungjohns big announcement not the support/questions thread. Just a question no flame intended. I think the vast majority of us that were all over that thread figured that support thread was the big news. So please inform us if it was not the news
Edit: Please keep this flame free this was just meant as a simple question

SamsungJohn should have just said what he had to say when he could. If he can't say today, then don't start a thread today. No need to hype it ahead of time. His first post should have been whatever big news he had. That would have avoided this debacle.

Yea, and everyone around here on XDA were total D-bags and flammed the poor guy.
He's a marketing rep for Samsung, and I think was honestly trying to find a way to reach out to the XDA community. And in return, everyone ripped his thread to pieces.
I guess the old, "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar" doesn't work so well around here. Pitty too. Cause unless all the idiots around here plan on rushing the Samsung corporate headquarters and holding the CEO ransom, burning the one bridge set forth isn't going to get anyone anywhere.

With all due respect. Samsung has brought the hatred and anger on themselves. They choose to enter into agreements where they cant comment on the updates they provide. They choose to enter into agreements where they cant update their own hardware without the carriers blessing. They choose to allow their PR reps make comments about updates that never come dangling a carrot in front of those hopeful for the advanced features others on identical hardware in other countries enjoy.
Sorry they burned their bridges, they doused their customers with gasoline, you cant blame us for wanting to embrace them with our last fiery breaths.
Ok guys if this turns into a flame fest or name calling i will close this one as well. I am not sure what will happen if anything other then empty promises as like stated above "they already have our money." To be honest This will be my last Samsung device I ever own. No matter What Samsung has to say, I will never again promote a Samsung device, as I had big hopes for the Captivate. I should have known better after all the work I have had to do on their other smartphones, that this one would be just as much a POS as all the others, BJ, BJ II, Epic, Jack.

why would you... i don't even know why people need extra battery. like for reals I am a teen meaning i text browse the web listen to music like crazy and i get through the day at night with about 28% battery (last night).
and now that i got my iPod back battery should last even longer.
i really do not understand why people obsess over battery a lot. like don't you all go home and charge your phone??
i would understand if you phone isn't keeping charge then obsess over the battery but other than that it just pointless to me...
my 2 cents.

HAHA. This wins the award for best post ever.
1) "like for reals I'm a teen..." ... that statement alone identifies this kid as the guy we all made fun of cause he was annoying and always corrected the teached.
2) like for reals dude, maybe you should spend more time in school because you'll quickly learn that no matter how many times a day you tweet that you just ate pizza for lunch, it doesn't compare to the data usage a corporate user that has multiple exchange accounts syncing constantly changing calendar, contacts, docs, and OCS chatter.
3) Sorry if it's not a big deal if your battery runs low and you're unable to jerk off to Justin Bieber's new video in the bathroom stall between getting beat up on the bus and getting beat up in first period... but to some people there's a bit more at stake when their phone stops functioning.

first, i do pay attention in school just because I am tweeting and face book and listen to music, doesn't mean i don't pay attention, im actually graduating today top 10%!

LMAO at the weather.
i just think it really defeats the purpose of having the thinnest smartphone in the states.
and now that we have roms, battery life gets better from here. im currently running at 63% percent unplugged since 9:50is am. that more than 12 hours already and still have more than half.
I think we can all agree its good idea "IF" you need it to carry around a small portable external charger. That way no one looses the thinness or the light wighteness of the phone.
I might not need an "Executive" account to know that battery life on smart phones usually suck, but I am a teen and the "Constant " twitter posts I put out there leave me with battery to spare at the end of the day.
PS. I don't have a twitter. Lol

Now to see if the "blackouts" will do any good. Rumors have it that the White House is rethinking it's stance on SOPA. Maybe Obama is smarter than we think? Any kind of censorship whether for good or bad gives me the shivers.
We will see. I really dont see it happening as that would cause the people that are already unhappy with the government to get even more up in arms. Now mix in the deal with the FEMA chip and we could see a very long year to come.

A friend who's a big fan of Apple products told me the iPhone 5 was supposed to be Steve Jobs' vision of the "perfect phone". Of course, I told him that's ridiculous because they were continuing development after his untimely passing. Maybe future development really will make it the phone of phones.

The only time I will ever buy an iPhone, is when it is actually better!
haha
THE IPHONE 5, like the 4 but taller. that's it. hahahahah!
The only time I will buy an iPhone is when it can download food.
I will only buy the iphone if I need to test my designs for app development purposes.
Apple did claim that samsung is a copy of apple,
except the part that it is bigger, faster, better, has NFC, MHL, HD resolution, etc.
Spoke with a Verizon Rep the other day whose family member works in Tech support, and fields the calls coming in from iPhone 5 customers.
I was told that he has over 2 pages of known issues regarding the iPhone 5. I don't know how many issues are on each Page, but it must be a lot.
He mentioned that customers would be well advised to wait until some of these issues are resolved.
That most likely will never happen;
Customers waiting, unless it's on a line, in the rain, during a Hurricane, to purchase one or two, and Apple resolving all the issues.
I did a little research afterward, and see that there are some issues, to say the least.
I have a friend who talks so much crap about iPhone, yet got an iPod Touch a few weeks back and raves about how much he LOVES it.
Just shows how ignorant some people are.

Eh, Apple this Samsung that. When Apple clears up most of the 5's issues, Apple fans and Android fans will still complain about each other. So long as there is competition we still keep on getting newer tech. The arguments on the different forums is funny as hell. Reminds me of the verbal battles ppl would have at the speed shop or the bar; Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge vs Foreign cars. Pissing contests are always good for a laugh when you sit on the side and watch the BS fly.

I didn't read the full thing but google has been doing this forever and then some. they even increased how detailed/how much data they collect with the new TOS they put out recently. I'm betting the only reason Verizon is drawing more fire is because of the phone aspect of it.
Also, big brother can and does whatever they want. The government monitors all sorts of stuff that you would think would be illegal to do. Welcome to the new socialist regime under Obama..

Yeah, if you don't think that Bush handed him the keys right before firmly pointing the economy at the iceberg and tying steering wheel in place before doing so, than your mistaken.. And being prior military and working in intelligence, I can tell you that every electronic ANYTHING is being archived and saved and scanned for keywords since way before Obama. Eery single one of your emails and voice conversations and IM's and posts. Hmm and who put the Patriot Act in place.. hmm.. Have a Lovely day talking to big brother.. Oh by the way.. Not that I want to get into a political conversation here, but I will, who made it a felony to protest, even peacefully, in front of the Secret Service? Who's had 4 years to fix said economy but has only steered it deeper into the hole. Obama has increased the national debt more in 4 years than Bush did in 8.
Now I'm not a Bush fan, I'm just saying Obama is bad news. Oh, as far as the Patriot Act, who renewed it once the majority of the terrorist alarm settled down years after 9/11??
I do agree the monitoring has been going on for a long time, but it has either taken steps that no one would before or at least taken steps publicly that every other regime did in secret. If it is just the same sh*t diff pile then doing it publicly is just a slap in the face to everyone. I'd rather they try to hide it then do it and blatantly step on our rights.
Oh, one more thing, who's given illegal immigrants more rights/help than the average American who is in need of help too?
I'm pretty sure most companies track your online habbits. They claim the use it for "market research". On my phone I'm not really that bothered by it, I don't do anything on it that I want to keep private, because I don't trust how private they are.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you are embarassed you look at porn on your phone. Just keep things you would like to be personal and not tracked heavily on a properly secured connection at home, and possibly use TOR if you are that paranoid and want a little extra security.
Actually, I believe there is Tor available for android. It may help cut down on what they know your doing.
yawn, who cares???

Wasting your time. If someone says socialist regime and Obama together.. Let it go. And consider that statement with future debates with them.

Ignorance is bliss huh?
(Oh, and by the way, you just used them in the same sentence so are you including yourself in your comment?)

Yes. That's exactly what I meant. When someone is referring to another comment they're automatically bunched in.

Democrat or Republican the only thing you can be sure of is they do NOT have your best interest in mind. They love that they factioned the people, makes it easier for them when we're fighting about who's the worst.

I don't mind some monitoring but when they collect everything!? That's a little overboard IMO. I want an option to op out. I don't care about their strategic advertisements for my use. I guess there's no way stop them until theyre a law suit against them.
