I am using LiquidSmooth RC9 and I do not see any option in System settings->Security->Screen lock for Face Unlock.
The only options I see are None, Slide, Pattern, PIN, & Password.

I'm pretty sure eclipse does. I'll check when i switch back to my s3 in a little.

One other question is I think facebook sync was never working right for me before on Eclipse and I had to download a separate facebook sync app to sync my facebook apps. Is that issue fixed in the latest version of Eclipse?

I'm fairly certain all of the AOSP support it but whether its included is another story. Liquid RC9 its not included in the rom zip or gapps zip, whether this was done on purpose or not i have no idea, my guess would be that its not included because it lowers the overall size of the rom, but again that's just my opinion.
Those looking for a zip file with it, slimbeans has a download on his site for just the faceunlock, now whether this will work on other roms and/or cause any issues i have no idea, i haven't tested it because its not something ill ever see myself using, but again you can try it if you'd like. You can download it directly from slimbeans site from this link

Awesome! Thanks I might try this because I just flashed to Eclipse and it looks like the Facebook contact syncing still doesn't work and also I like the keyboard that is used by LiquidSmooth ROM a lot better as it includes things like ?, ., etc. on the first keyboard where you can long hold a key to get the punctuations. I do like the fact that LED is working on Eclipse though as it does not seem to be working on Liquid.

Miui extended settings

Those miui users who have trouble with the extended setting ive found out how to fix it. When you install the extended mod apk you must ALSO flash the over scroll or non over scroll via CWM. it should work right after.

Thanks
Worked for me
newer builds have it implemented so no more need for flashing this for every rom update
Yup, although some of my settings still won't stick.

I love em! I'm currently running the Galnet one with the ICS framework ported over. It's already got some ICS stuff implemented too like the lockscreen and keyboard. so far everything runs very smoothly and there are only a couple of noticeable bugs like when scrolling through pic previews in the market, the market app crashes. the latest build was supposed to fix that issue, but i'm still experiencing it. Other MIUI Infuse issues still exist such as iffy blutooth and no hdmi support.
Basically if you are currently running MIUI I'd highly recommend updating if you like to have the latest and greatest and don't mind a few bugs. If you're a fan of stability on the other hand, I'd stick to a later build, like 1.11.9 if I remember correctly, I think I remember hearing to be very stable.
EDIT: Just figured out that Galnet was banned from XDA for rules violation
I have no problems installing the app but none od the options work except for app drawer..does anyone know what the problwm might be?

im thoroughly impressed so far, nice work on this so far. love the notification bar tweaks too with the settings button.

BTW, a couple of things that aren't listed on the "broken" section.
1. Using GPS crashed my phone
2. The shift, function, and @ buttons don't work on the physical keyboard.

I've been using the build for a few days now. The only thing that's really driving me nuts is that when you slide out the keyboard, the video goes nuts. Otherwise, so far, it's working really well. Few bugs here and there, but nothing crazy.

This doesn't work. Don't use it, use the gapps in the OP.
In addition, great work on the ROM!
I know you said don't report bugs but I'll report them anyway since you didn't include them in the OP:
#1 main issue) display corruption especially on rotation
#2 camera requires a button to turn it "on" in the app
#3 hardware keyboard doesn't work properly, namely the function key
#4 touch keyboard shows while hardware keyboard is out.
Other than that, this is pretty much a done deal.
I'm not sure if the gapps in the OP are the same as koush's but here they are if anyone wants to try them out and compare the results. Just click on the zip button on github and there ya go

[ROM] [ERA] CM7+Nexus S 4G Modems=faster internet speeds and Update PRL/Profile

This is a CM7 build I compiled from the EpicCM and CyanogenMod team's sources, but I modified the device, kernel, and vendor sources so we can use the Nexus S 4G modems, so we can have faster Internet and so we can update PRL and profile. My kernel sources are at https://github.com/xboxfanj/android_kernel_samsung_victory
You must flash this modem in Odin/Heimdall in order for Call/Text/Data to work, doesn't matter if you flash before or after you flash the ROM
http://marcusant.com/android/epic/modem.bin
Link:
http://darkierawr.com/Android/Users/xboxfanj/cm-7-20120828-UNOFFICIAL-epicmtd.zip
This build has fixed audio, voodoo color and sound, and battery life extender.
MD5:
93ba57b183e9b6a62a7240bee47876d2
Note: You must flash back to a regular Epic modem if you change ROMs to nearly any other one (besides my Sense ROMs or any other ROM that uses the Nexus modem (none at the time of this writing))
Working:
Everything that is working in the other CM7 builds (should be everything)
Thanks to the EpicCM/CyanogenMod Team for making most of the sources I based on.
Thanks to bbelos and I for patching in support for Nexus modems and PRL and profile updates.
Thanks to Darkierawr, marcusant, and eigerzoom for hosting
Anyone is welcome to build off this, but please make sure to credit me, bbelos, and the CM Team.
I plan on making CM9/10 builds with this modem and PRL/Profile update support later on.

Samsung is known to make bad modems/ril, and since Google made the one we're using, it should be better. That is why the GS3 gets worse data speeds than the EvoLTE. The hardware in that area is the same, so it means Samsung didn't do as well on that as HTC. GPS may be better too, since I changed that file to match the modem.

I was wondering about the cap light disable ever since Tortel1210 said (after the latest stable official CM7 release) that it just wasn't going to happen because he'd given up on figuring it out... I was like, "But it works on the official build I'm currently using... did I miss something?" I will try to find his post in the official CM7 thread, in case I'm crossing my wires on that...
Anyway, so far, so good on my end - I can confirm the issues mentioned by darkjje, but the important thing is that my data connection is the best it has ever been (I no longer have to use wifi at my home in the boonies, lol). Can't wait for those small fixes to top off the package, but I'm pleased so far - thanks again, xboxfanj!

He mentioned overlaying java files - I'm not sure I understand what he meant by that... my guess is that it has to do with merging additional code into an existing java file, but I've been wrong before ::gasp!::
I trust that you can figure it out, though, and now that I've heimdalled the modem I'm committed to testing (it's a quick enough process to switch back, but not as convenient as CWM flashing - laziness wins, lol)

Really?? Do you know how to use the market at all? How to search and download apps? Or did you just want someone to spoonfeed you?
Here comes the airplane, weeeooww(airplane noise), open up! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jb.gosms
That's probably going to be your best free solution. Has quick reply and a ton of theming. Another choice might be handcent, tho I don't remember being impressed with it on my Droid X.
Sorry if I sound like a jerk, I just see a TON of people not use the search option on here at all or even the market.

You may be unfamiliar with Android but usually there is an app in the Play Store that can do whatever you want whereas in iOS that may not always be the case. Need a new gallery app? Search the Play Store. Need a file manager? Search the Play Store. Need a calendar app? Search the Play Store. You should get my point now.

Handcent is the best hands down IMHO
I would agree with Handcent unless you use group messaging, then your going to want GoSMS. I wish SOMEONE would release a non bloated app with group messaging that does not suck
I guess I should have given more details to my question, yes thanks for the replies and no I dont need to be spoon fed lol I have used all of those sms apps but I was wondering if anyone knew of a a custom mms app like the stock one that had quick reply built in. CM10 is pretty good, I'd still be running it now but I was having issues with battery life. I'd lose about 15-17% or so overnight with my phone in deep sleep. I'm on AOKP now and stop far it's better on my batt with the majority of the same features, more even. It does have the sms mod too.
Paranoid Android has the same features too, as do the majority of AOSP roms. I personally like PA and Liquid Smooth, and on my phone PA is the more stable of the 2. I for some reason just didn't like CM10, even though that's what PA and Liquid are based off of..... anyway, the jist of it is you ought to just test em all out, cause what's stable for one person may be extremely unstable for another.

Turns or I was wrong, AOKP doesn't have the popup, but neither does this one. It did give me an idea to which seemed to work for me. I just extracted the mms.apk file from a CM10 nightly and installed it.
I'll Dropbox it in a minute since Tapatalk doesn't let you attach anything except pictures.
Use a root browser and find system/apps/mms.apk (or secmms.apk if you're on TW) and rename it with a .bak on the end. Put the new file in the same place and make sure it's got the she permissions. Reboot and you should be golden.

Wow thanks so much for the help this is indeed exactly what I was looking for!
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I installed it but is keeps saying messaging has stopped will I keep the name Mms or change it to SecMms.apk which is what my original was named also what was the she permissions you were talking about thanks?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
You will re-name it to whatever was originally in that folder. I believe all AOSP ROMs it is called Mms.apk and Touchwiz is SecMms.apk.
Far as the permissions, which it sounds like what might be causing your problem, depending on the root browser you are using(I use the one in ROM Toolbox) the format of the permissions you will want it to have are either "rw-r--r--" or "read" for 'Owner', 'Group' and 'Others' then "write" for 'Owner' only and "execute" for none. Or the final format would be 0644
Those are the three different ways that permissions are displayed.
---------- Post added at 02:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:50 PM ----------
I was just thinking, if the whole permissions thing is still confusing after my last post there, I might have thought of something that will do it for you fairly simply.
Replace the apk file as mentioned. Reboot. Then reboot again, into recovery tho. Then go to advanced and click on fix permissions.
A) Not sure 100% if this will work, B) the two reboots may be unnecessary, you may be able to replace and reboot directly into recovery and have it work.
Thanks man ill give it a shot.

Sounds like paranoid should have it.
What ROM are you trying this on? What file browser are you using? And what steps exactly are you taking that's giving you the errors?
I am using cleanrom 3.0 and esfile as my file manager. I first add. Bak to the original SecMms.apk. Apk and then add the file you gave me and renamed it to SecMms.apk and reboot, the permissions are the same as my original message app. Once the phone boots back up it will get to the loading conversations screen then it tells me that is has stopped working or something like that I am lost and thanks for the help.

[ROM][4.1.2][CM10] BG53's Unofficial CM10 Nightly

Well, this took me almost a full day to figure out, but I'd say it's worth it. I have compiled my first CM10 build, and BOY! It's running nice I'd say it's one of the smoothest ROMs I've ran. So far, I haven't had any flickering or anything on it, the Camera and Gallery works wonders. Bluetooth and Headphones are working, in call, streaming as well. I haven't tried tethering, so I don't know if that works, but I think it would.
I'm planning on maybe developing themes for this, or doing nightlies, if anybody is still interested in CM10. I like it because it is currently more stable than CM10.1.
I hope you guys enjoy this ROM and are able to give me input on how to expand my skill in developing

gapps are NOT in the ROM. I used standard 4.1 gapps and they work great. I'll find a link to put in the OP

I got GPS lock in about 4 seconds. Works great. Will do screenshots in OP when I get home (like fifteen minutes).
I stopped using cm10 because I couldn't log into my USAA app... Dunno why but it was a not of a deal breaker when I was trying to check my balance... I mean I could always calland check but it just made me wonder what else want going to work when I needed it...

I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you there. Does USAA have a mobile site?

I don't know I never checked I suppose. I was just throwing that out there to see if anyone had any input on it... I am so ready to come back to aosp lol

Well USAA has a Mobile site. I tend to like mobile bank sites better than the app counterparts. Wells Fargo always acted up on the Razr and TBolt, no matter if stock, AOSP, whatever. so I used the site more often. So just know there is an alternative to sticking to stock because of the app...
OP Updated with WORKING NFC Fix!
Is there any way to include a folder system in the app drawer instead of just on the home screen?

Keyboard FCs after flash making the ROM useless.

How's the video recording volume on this rom? I'm at work and can't test. I know it's been a recurring problem on CM10.

Want to flash this but wondering if this problem is one that everyone is having? This is the only mention of keyboard issue I've seen so far in this thread. Can anyone confirm keyboard is working ?

Mine works fine. In fact, I flashed the 4.2 keyboard because it's better.
I had one instance where the keyboard FCed, that happened when I tested a dirty flash. either reflash or wipe and reflash, and it should work fine. I haven't tried video recording on the ROM, but I'm going to compile a new one in a little bit, so I'll post that in a little while.

Well in case you're wondering, recording is fantastic. Very close to the volume of TW. This ROM has everything working. Also, got some nice screens of battery if anyone wants info about it.
Keep in mind my battery started at 71% when I first flashed this ROM. I can imagine a full battery would yield even better results.
