I updated the phone to ICS. 4.0.4. (XBSA404). update having problems with the back button and the camera is turned upside down. (works perfectly) .. but now I tried to pass on the old or original software. and at 90% it restarts and does not light up .. help me to fix it .. because I can not stay without phone and if you go to the repair cost me more ... I note that if I try to resoft again that ICS 4.0.4 works perfectly (XBSA404) please help me .. and I apologize for my poor English I am from Romania and I'm having trouble ...

Yes .. or to put a soft theat worcks fine .. sms to 160 caracters and back buton worcks ... or camera .. new my phone dont worcks to put eny software .. i push the UP buton and power .. and its start but with a arows on display and dont wana resoft ...

But this .. You should read the development threads.
Some stuff are fixed some not.
Read and decide what you wanna do.

Try japoninja rom it's X bsalls ported with some fixes, and you can't requests for links and development like that, many noobs done it before, and just pissed the developers, to the point they don't wanna do nothing more. Don't be lazy and read prior to post and do requests.

If you would have sbp pocket plus installed, you would have been able to start in safe mode, and see what preventing your phone to start.
I would suggest to make regular backups. In case of any problem you can restore.

- How to Hard Reset. If you cannot run program to hard reset form "Expert" folder. Turn off your phone, then press both soft keys next to D-Pad and power on device. After moment release both soft keys. On the black screen asking for confirmation press "green phone" button and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize

Hey haree, I am from India. I still haven't flashed Froyo on my phone still using stock 2.1. I was thinking of flashing XXJPM. Should i go ahead with that or should i try the XWJPF??

Oh i know that is available. But it's just that it has too many issues with it right now: Swype not working, FCs, Crackling sounds in audio, etc. So i wanted to flash a FW that is stable.
So i asked around a bit and found out that JPM is the most stable. But then i saw on samfirmware that they released XWJPF like 12 days back. And i haven't found anyone who has used it so far to get their input. So was just wondering which one to flash.
PS - never flashed a FW before, but been reading enough for the past two days to be comfortable enough to try it.
well i wud suggest u go for i5801 zhjpf......its the only rom which dont have the choppy call bug.

i have used DDJP2 for a long time more than 2 weeks except for the swype not working(i dont use it so im OK) i have faced no problems at all as u have not flashed any rom till date id suggest u try flashing this vie kies and then decide what u want latter on

Just to be clear you are not having the crackling sound bugs at all? Swype i can live without (there is a fix for that too though).
I can't upgrade via Kies coz the internet connection that i have blocks it. But i do have the one package tar file for DDJP2, so i can flash through odin.
But i have read that it is safer to flash without the bootloader, i.e., no chance of bricking it. So i was wondering if anyone has a build for JP2 with all individual files, that'd be great. Or if i can make it using the one package file someway, that'd be even better.
Oh and will flashing with ODIN delete my data or leave it intact??

but if u want to flash via odin read the link given below in detail before attempting anything via odin off ur virus scan while using odin and log in as admin while using odin

did all of that... flashed using odin ... got a PASS ... wasn't booting for 50 mins (stuck at samsung glowing flash logo, so someone suggested rebooting and wipe cache/data ... but when i pressed power + home + volume up ... it showed a screen - "Forced Upload by Key Pressing" with an android logo next to it... nothing was happening so i booted again and now stuck at the GT-I5801 logo... Please help ... Please tell me my phone isn't bricked...

assuming u are talking about DDJP2
I´ve flashed it yesterday and not perceived differences with JPM yet

It didn't boot for me until I flashed JG6 eclair ROM first.
Can't see much difference to JPM.. except that It's missing finnish language. Has all of the slavic languages, though.

Hey... how long does the wipe data/factory reset take? .... been doing it for past 40 mins ... doesn't even have a progress bar that i can see ...

we are really going off topic ill delete all the off topic once ur problem is solved
wipe data will not take more than a few mins the same screen will say wipe factory data finished or try pulling out ur batter putting it back(this worked for me once) in and then go to download mode and flash the original 2.1 again if successful then go back in to download mode and flash the 2.2

A whole bunch of people have this problem. There is no fix for it just now. Either send your phone to be replaced or wait patiently for someone in the community to discover a solution.

i had this happen to me today and tech support were useless......
so, i found how to fix it myself....
simply connect your LG optimus to your internet connected computer and voila!!!! simple fix and so quick.

How to fix firmware update on 0%
Ik this is late but to fix it you need to have another phone of the exact phone that is working. Download the lg support tool online. Then open the support tool and plug in the working phone. Click on install usb driver on the left and follow the instructions. If it says update is only wirelessly, click ok then click ok and click options on top right and hit update and recovery. Now, if it downloads the software, unplug the working phone and plug in the phone that is stuck on the firmware update one the download on the pc is finished it will restart the firmware update and it should work. Hope this helps for anyone else with this problem.

My Galaxy R display gone off after sometime of locking the phone. But phone is working fine. I can hear the ringtone when call is coming. When I switch any button phone display not work but I can use phone after rebooting and again it happen after sometime when the phone is lock. I tried installing another ROM and kernel but still it is happening. So what i have to do to solve this.

I think there's a problem with the display backlight. Better take it to the SSC if the device is in warranty..

Sadly I don't have warranty and I don't think it is backlight problem. If it is then why would it work every time after reboot.
I figured something else and now I am sure it is not problem with backlight. Today I changed light setting to automatic off to 10 minutes. And after that I checked whether it happen or not. After sometime I tried to unlock drawing the pattern but it is very difficult to draw and goes wrongly and i tried every button but except power button no button work. I tried after that drawing the pattern and working fine. After sometime again it happen and it goes fine after pressing power button. But still it wont work it if happen when the backlight is off. So I think now you people have some more information. And i hope I can fix it soon with your help.

Hey buddy. this thing happened with me lots of time when I was over GB. If you are over GB then flash ICS or JB.. this will definitely solve out your problem. But if you think this wont help then can visit SSC.

Hmmm... me too faced the issue in GB... not sure about ICS.. coz I was very little time in ICS... can u connect ur phone with PC and run log cat... after it get stuck.. when u reboot it will get ended and u can send the logcat... developers can see what is going wrong...

Not sure.. how u have taken this logcat.. not getting anything interesting...
1. Run logcat after connecting your pc..
2. let it run till ur mobile get stuck...
3. after it get stuck.. u have to reboot(rite?)
4. while rebooting the logcat will get ended
5. send the logcat...
If u used the same procedure, then do one more testing after doing a factory reset(don't install any app and don't restore ur app)...

Stock are not so stock...
It seems that all the stock roms available for our HTC Pico are modded. They are not official. Most of the apps are buggy and some dont even work. The most irritating part is the loudspeaker which just turns on and never turns off! So irritating!
Zips are closest to stock as can be, Ruu's are stock roms, difference is that jaggy made those zips so returning back to stock is easyer, you can always use ruu, but downside is that you'll have to lock your bootloader, about the loudspeaker http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812624&page=6 the second post here have loudspeaker fix, I'm not sure will it work with stock roms but it should.
