big problem after root

hey guys finally i rooted my phone with the aid of doomlord kernel but 2 big problem have occured.
1-my sd card and xperia neo is not recognized i mean i cannot access to my sd card with usb cable i have enabled usb cable debugging and other media mode but it does not help me as well, i cannot do anytihng right now.
2-my second problem wifi connection which does not work now after rooting i cant get internet access

can u get into CWM and then acces ur sd ? if so try flashing new rom n kernel !

Bro thx answer but the Situation have transformed into really realy hard way plzzz help.
i have installed ice cream 4.0.4 with cwm it was succesful then i have installed kernel but after these 2 steps phone stays XPERIA screen and nothing happen i dont know whether i installed wrong kernel but by the way i have tried nearly 10 different kerlen to fix problem.

Re-flash a rom, remember wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache

always flash kernel first then do wipe data partitions and clear dalvik cache in CWm and then flash the rom via cwm...
(flash kernel in fastboot mod)
dont just try any kernel see the ROM thread to find which kernel is compatible with ur ROM
what is the link to ur ics 4.0.4 ROM plz post .. ty

i have followed your instructions but it remains on XPERIA screen nothing happen.
i first mounted kernel with flash tool then i opened cwm by pressing volume down
finally i have wiped out all cache davit and made factory reset then i have instal succesfully below rom but nothing happen.

if u can see the xperia logo it means u havent bricked ur fone..
try going back to the stock rom !
before flashing ROm or Kernel u should always Backup ur curren ROm via CWm so that u can restore it in case anything goes wrong ( BASICS )...

MoonBlade bro now problem is 0 battery
everything was fine before unlockbootloader
but when i have locked the bootloder everything starts going wrong
now im really desperate.
this is a common problem for those who downgrade from latest sofware(2.3.4.) to 2.2
But i idk what to do
I want my phone back
i dont want to root or unlock NOTHING
just give me my phone back
i swear i wont never root and unlock bootloader
so how can i relock the bootloader?

Big Problem

I updated the phone to ICS. 4.0.4. (XBSA404). update having problems with the back button and the camera is turned upside down. (works perfectly) .. but now I tried to pass on the old or original software. and at 90% it restarts and does not light up .. help me to fix it .. because I can not stay without phone and if you go to the repair cost me more ... I note that if I try to resoft again that ICS 4.0.4 works perfectly (XBSA404) please help me .. and I apologize for my poor English I am from Romania and I'm having trouble ...

Is your phone still detected to your pc , there is no problem . Just reflash the ICS rom and it will be fin

Yes .. or to put a soft theat worcks fine .. sms to 160 caracters and back buton worcks ... or camera .. new my phone dont worcks to put eny software .. i push the UP buton and power .. and its start but with a arows on display and dont wana resoft ...

But this .. (http: // dh.st/RC5) address does not work, where can I download it .. and the thing is that it finishes loading all the file (. bin) now .. but at 100% it restarts properly but still does not start completely. Then give me an address where I can take this ICS 4.0.4 without bugs. because I saw someone wrote something like this software was repaired .. or give me an address with the software that you have on the phone . .

You should read the development threads.
Some stuff are fixed some not.
Read and decide what you wanna do.

Try japoninja rom it's X bsalls ported with some fixes, and you can't requests for links and development like that, many noobs done it before, and just pissed the developers, to the point they don't wanna do nothing more. Don't be lazy and read prior to post and do requests.

"starting services" does not stop...on boot up

Hi all , just joined xda-developers but i spend straight 14 hours trying to fix this DAMM photon q yesterday
all i got in the end is a normal boot after following this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001108
BUT at the startup , the screen comes like for a millisecond and then this " starting services" logo doesn't go at all...it just continues forever
any help would be appreciate .

Can you explain what your setup is, and exactly what you've done to get where you are?
For example, you were bootloader official unlocked, on CWM and asa-10, etc.

bootloader is not qaulified for official unlock... and its my friends phone so he gave to me since he was unable to use it.. i thought i could give it life again.. so...i don't what esle info you want but i did EXACTLY what that thread told me to do... and still the that thing does not go ..

Still doesn't tell me what you've done, what state the phone is actually in, etc.
I thought my question was pretty straightforward. Unless you provide more detail, I don't know how anyone will be able to help you.
Is this a stolen device? Why is it not qualified for the official unlock? Either way, how does that play into what's wrong with the device?
Did you have custom recovery on it? Give some details!!!

i think i am a noob at explaining things but let me try again...i don't know the exact history of this phone , my friend gave it to me yesterday and its not stolen ... he paid his insurance every month but then who know what he did... i have no idea why its not qaulified for the official unlock probably because he bought a new phone on the same line so the company deactivated this phone..
ok so when i got the phone yesterday , the bootlocker logo appeared and i was unable to do anything ...then i installed CWMrecovery and it was successfull and then i installed every possible rom available online as far as i know but same thing happened with all of them ..... successfully installed , it reboots and little square thing saying " starting services..." and then it does not go away at all ... but at the same time i am able to bring the top menu ..and go to the settings and everything from there but i can't go to home screen since ...it is black and is occupied by "starting services.."
so finally i came accross this thread for master reboot and i followed it ....i installed TWRrecovery and made backup and then restored a backup providers by that guy ... i flashed new stock recovery after that... so following his thread , he told that if all went successful ... it will return to original stock
and now i am at the same screen as previous... " starting serivces..." my friend told me he tired to root it and he messed up really bad ..so i believe there is still some old files in the internal storage from previous rom versions.... but i deleted everything......wiped, data facotry reset and then
installed a clean backup provided by the thread starter...... and everyone else had success except me ...
i hope i answered your questions if not .. i would aprreciate if you tell me what exactly you want to know ..... thanks

i also tired every US ROMS from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/asanti_c/list.php
and all of them showed " starting services.." after i installed them from sdcard using CWMrecovery.

we have full RSD lite backups now to restore a phone can be found in this thread

You have to extract the files and edit the xml file. And you use rsdlite on your pc phone connected thru usb to write it to the phone

If you installed the asa-14 then it should be. Make sure you flash the right one dont flash the us cellular unless thats what you have

You should be able to and everything should function its a complete stock just as sprint flashed it

Reactivate in Sprint? What do you mean? Only Sprint can tell you whether the phone can be activated or not. Call them. Not sure why you would even worry about that if it's not stolen.....

yeah, im looking for those too.... most links are dead already, other stock roms wont install when i enter recovery mode on my phone.

Most links are dead, or taken over by ad servers or servers down for maintenance but indeed sammobile has some roms although not for my build.
Dont think im gonna go back to a stock rom with this phone though anymore.

SamMobile.com firmwares are working. I am able to download. Please check again.

SamMobile works (sofar one of the few where you can dll stuff from), but the firmwares i find there are not for my build. I used manual search aswell the detect device option. I get hits, i can download them but when installing/flashing they never get accepted by my phone.
Anyway, hard to find roms/kernel nowadays for such a oldshool phone.

Cyanogen(mod).com Also with an Rom installer for windows. I did it the hard way, flashing kernel with Odin (unexpected and unwanted cuss Odin froze up and stopped unexpected, after reboot i saw i had another recovery mode on my phone) to CWM and ran an unofficial Cyanogen mod with CWM through the Recovery mode of my phone (update.zip, anyway, with the CWM recovery mode you can select any file anywhere on your SD-card when that kernel is installed, no need to rename files to 'update.zip' anymore)
As a complete noob, it took me a whole night (just a single night) to find all this out on my own, so if i can, everybody can !!!! ;-p

In the recovery menu it loads the package, opens the package and then i get 2 kind of errors saying "bad package" or "wrong package".
Not so sure what exactly it sais cuss did that a few days ago in the middle of the night (doing this a couple of nights now and have a big lack of sleep now) and with cwm recovery i can choose whatever file i want to use as update.zip (even with the original filename) so i putted alot of files on my sd-card and ran them all to hope one of them worked. So i got alot of errors to see till i finally got the CyanogenMod7 update file running and doing his job. Dont think im going for an Stock Rom anymore on that phone so i dont bother anymore trying with that.

You cannot flash official Samsung firmwares with a recovery. You have to use Odin. Follow this guide:

[Q] Problem with touchscreen after unrooting

Hello guys,
So... I have samsung GT-S7710 (Galaxy Xcover2).
I had it rooted with prerooted odexed FW (from this post)
So this is the OK part :laugh: .... everything was working fine.
Then, to claim my waranty, i have unrooted it...so I've reseted the counter and flashed it with FW I've backed up from my phone before rooting.
So now for the wierd part...everything was ok, booted my phone, everything was working, then restarted it, and all of the sudden touchscreen stoped working
I've read about bricked touchscreens, but mine worked for some time..
So I was thinking now...should I try and flash official FW for my phone, rather than backed up one ?
Or is there any thing else to do ? Or even...did maybe touchscreen went to *khm* ?

i would say try to flash it again with OFFICIAL STOCK ROM and do let me know the results by QUOTING ME!!

Thanks for your reply, I've tried this right away.
I've tried with official version (from SamMobile)...I've choosen version for Slvoenia (my country) w/o any provider
But still no sucsess...
Odin sucsesfully flashes, phone boots, and touch doesnt work again (I'm stuck at that starting page...to chose language and so on..)
But like I've said everything else works ok, eg.: power btn, wolume up/down,... only touch doesnt work.

I've tried to flash ROM that I was using before (rooted one). And now touch even doesnt work in this one.
Is this maybe hardware problem ?

i think you should flash stock rom and give it to samsung maybe.. if it's in warrentee they would get it replaced i guess

I will do exactly this
One more thing... I've bought my phone in a electronic store (no carier involved). Should I flash it with FW for my country ? What if phone had any other FW on when it was new ?
EDIT:
Just realised....I've flashed rooted FW on my phone...which has increased the counter of custom flashes... To reset the counter I need root permisions...but how if I cant even unlock my phone.
I probably cant use [email protected], because I've hard reseted the phone, which means that Usb debug is disabled (correct me if I'm wrong), so thats of the list..
Do you guys know if any FW has enabled USB debug by default ? Or if there is any other option ?
