[APP][2.3+] NZBGet Mobile: native nzb download for android - Android Apps and Games

I'm just curious....but how would that work? Does GoogleTv have anytype of storage? I've always associated NZB's with Newsgroups and downloads....am I missing an aspect to the NZB use?

Yes. You can attach USB storage and there is a small amount of internal storage as well.

Wow great job Cpasjuste,
I really like this port of NzbGet to Android, thanks so much for this !
Aim planning to use this on my HDMI Rockchip 3066 stick "UG802"
It works real nice, and the NZB watchfolder is awesome !!
One question, how do I setup postprocess to unrar the files ?
Thanks...

Nobody can help with this ????

Hi gadus!
Actually the process scripts are pretty difficult to add, you'll have to add unrar to system partition (need root) then set the script (some example available on nzbget website).
But I'll try to implement native unrar "next year".

thank you!
this is a good energy-saver
postprocess would be great and yes i do love it!
running it on my new UG802 which i bought before and just googled nzbget :victory: :victory:
btw how does it "cache" the downloaded files?
would be nice to run in ram or on usb-storage entirely, i don't trust the internal nand too much

This app is phe·nom·e·nal ! Excellent port and work! Once native unrar is added this will be the best thing since canned beer. I can hardly wait.

Yes the app is amazing. I mounted a network drive using CifsManager and set the path within the DestDir field but I'm getting an ErrCode 2 when it tries to create the destination directories on download.
I'm guessing it has to do with permissions. Can anyone provide some guidance?
Thanks!

Hi, just tested NZBGet Mobile. Everything works fine.
Got a Nexus 10 with "only" 16 GB. I haven't rooted the device yet.
But i also wonder if it will work with mounted drives as destination directories (CifsManager, Stickmount etc.).

Seems fairly good to me - but one major problem I found was adding the NzbProcess=~/nzbprocess.sh path as suggested. Now when downloading files they just disappear into the void instead of putting completed files in the specified directory. Possibly due to the non-rooted device I tried it on.
I have to disable this option go back to manually deleting all the partial rar files afterwards which is a real pain. Otherwise very well done. :good:

This is very interesting ... Thanks!
I use to have a running version of sickbeard on my phone, but it was way too much hassle to keep setup
This might be better

1st post updated with new market link ! ( had to change package name as i did lost this keystore :x )
But it's updated with new additions including unrar

[APP] MySQL Manager

I'm trying to get a feel for what kind of demand there is out there for a MySQL manager for Android.
Obviously there's only going to be a small niche of people who would want/use one, myself included, so I guess I wanted to get the feedback of the people on these forums to see what demand is like.
I'm currently building one that I plan to stick on the Android Market in the next week or so, and I'll let everyone who expresses interest know when that happens. The first version I put out will be a "lite" version. Features will include:
Create/Edit/Delete server/db credentials
View a list of all Tables, Views, and Stored Procedures in a db
View first 100 records of any Table or View
Drop Tables, Views, and Stored Procedures
Add/Edit Views
Add/Edit Stored Procedures
Run custom queries
If the demand and responses are good, I will completely re-do the UI, add some nice graphics, and put out a much more feature-rich version. Not going to waste my time to do that, though, if I don't feel there is enough need.
Thanks in advance to everyone who responds!

I would definitely use this. Personally, running custom queries would be the only thing I would use it for tho (i'm a sql/command line ninja haha). Hard saying how often I would use it. Currently I just ssh into a nix box and use mysql client from there when I'm remote/without a laptop and need to fix something.

I have released the initial version of my app on the market. Search for AndSQL.
Keep in mind, this is a very rough first version and is not intended to be complete with features. If response/feedback is good I will re-do UI, add graphics, and style it. Any feedback is greatly welcomed. Thanks!!

Can't find on the market, is there a download link?
Also, about "Run custom queries" is there the option to save/load the queries too?
I will appreciate that because i often run the same queries, so i save and load them when i need

As of right now there is not. This would be a feature I would definitely add if I decide to make a 'full' version. This was really more or less just a quick tool I made for myself to do quick db edits/checks on the fly when problems are reported. It has a ton of potential, I'm just not sure how large the demand is for a 'full' version of this.
My app targets 2.1 and up so not sure why you don't see it in the Market, but I'll go ahead and post it in the OP. Look for it there.
Ok, thanks for reply, it's quite useful already to do quick and emergency checks.
I'm on froyo now, so i should be able to find it in the market...

It seems to connect, at least i don't receive any error, but i don't see the tables/views/sproc, and if i try to run a query the result is empty..
Tried with 2 different db on 2 different servers.

There's likely a bug in my connection error reporting. If you're not seeing any tables or views then there's probably something wrong w/ your connection settings.
Make sure your MySQL db is set to allow remote connections, and also verify that the port you specified is correct. Hope that helps
Im' pretty sure everything it's ok, from my home pc i can connect without any problem...

Cool. It can even play mms:// streams, but I have to paste the URL into the app. Can you have the app register itself to support mms links? Also, opening a link to an .asx file doesn't do anything.

Screenshots?
This sounds awesome, I love mplayer I will give this a try and I hope support continues to make the app better.
Is there anyway to create a shortcut that passes a url to mplayer? I would love to create shortcuts containing something like:
mplayer.exe mms://someurl.com/radio
Something with gscript perhaps? This would get around registering mms links and having the browser open http streaming links.
Is it possible to register an url format like mplayer://*link* that mplayer would identify when clicked?

I'm interested in compiling your MPlayer source, but I can't figure out how to do it... I see there are some config files but I don't know how to use them, and I don't know what's the "/android/android-arm/sysroot/" folder that you included...
Can you tell us some instructions about it?
Thanks a lot for your hard work, you are great!

It's called URI schemes, and it seems to be a matter of defining one in the manifest file.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2448213/how-to-implement-my-very-own-uri-schema-on-android
Don't know how that would work when doing mplayer://mms://file.vmw?, maybe theres some way to do parse it..
This would in any case be great. This way I for example could develop my webTV app to link to mplayer://mms://file.vmw, and it would open directly and start playing in mplayer!
I understand there is some problems with this approach (web standards).

Wow, the awesome MPlayer compiled for Android.
I only briefly tried it, it scaled the picture to fill the screen. Is this normal? Is there way to make it actually read the aspect from the file and scale according to that?
Someone mentioned problems with .asx files... They're playlists. You need to tell MPlayer that. On the command-line, this would be
Code:
$ mplayer -playlist mms://somewhere.com/blah.asx
No idea how this Android version deals with that.

+1.. almost everything is in rar...
you guys are talking about reparing using the par2 files not unrar right? Anyways that feature is not currently there. Actually neither is unrar
But I agree it would be handy.
Very nice and easy. I would, however, like to see an option to pause, to have a collapsable display of the downloadlist so we don't see every single file being downloaded (handy if you have several things queued). Also, an option to delete the downloaded files after unraring. Would save space and time for the user.
I still use this App. Thanks god przemeknzb still working on it. There is still no competitor.
After a App reboot (3 years ago?) i bought/donate it again.

[APP][2.2+] AirStream: Access your computer like a Dropbox

Hi Friends,
Would love your feedback on our app - AirStream
We have built this awesome app using which you can access your files from Computer on Mobile devices from anywhere in the world. As you might have also experienced most of our data like movies, music, photos & even important work documents are still residing in our computers. Even today there is no easy way to access them on Mobile devices. But with our solution this is as easy as using Dropbox, imagine accessing all your files from your computer from anywhere in the world without any limit on GBs.
What you will love:
1. Access alll your drives & files
2. Easy & quick movie streaming
3. Integrated music player.. create playlists, import playlists, etc
4. Access computer over 3G/4G
Attached are the new builds that we will release on Google Play. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Procedure:
1. Install the apk in android
2. Copy the .jar version of AirStream desktop client to your computer & run it.
3. Login on both ends using the same credentials.
(both the .apk & .jar have been zipped due to size constraints. We have a .msi version but not able to upload due to size constraints)
Check the screenshots for your reference.
Awaiting your feedback.. feel free to reach us at [email protected]
Edit::
An older version of this is available on Google Play. The changes to the new version are:
1. Patched AirStream-Sky functionality on Android. Older version had a bug which prevented the app from accessing computer on external network. (There is still a issue on Desktop app, which sometimes require a router reset to access computer on external network)
2. Added indicator to notify whether the app is working on Local Wifi network or external network.
3. Much better graphics & UX. The app is much slicker & smoother than older one.

Similar yes from what it does. But from user-experience wise, the way it connects, integrated media player, AirStream is very different & better. Give it a try

Playback control are included in Windows client?

Right now the playback controls are only on the mobile app. Windows client only acts as a server, you login and it allows the mobile device to connect with it. Media playback & everything else is done from the Mobile app.. Hope you find is useful

thanks for the share and much appreciations.
i can only access my device SD, i can't access the external SD on my device.
This seems like it could help me a lot from work.
Thank you for sharing. I'll definitely give this app a workout. :highfive:
Tested browser and transfer (only download from PC to mobile) on the same network, all work fast and smooth!
Hope it can transfer from mobile to PC/mobile, too!
Hi, got this up and going in a few minutes. It's awesome! Something I've been looking for in an FTP like client/server setup. The beautiful thing is AirStream's simplicity. Streamed music straight away and have yet to attempt a transfer. I understand server to client functionality is fully functional. I'm experiencing it. Is the reverse true of transfers? That is, client to server. I did see someone else ask this question yet it hadn't been answered as of this writing. Thanks for the app and sharing all the work you've placed into its development. Cool. Practical. User-friendly. Literally up and running in under 7-10 minutes! Sweet
