Hi all,
I want to introduce you to my app, its a nzb download app for your android device. I.e. download binary files of usenet directly to your phone! I'm proud to say its the first that is offered free on android (prove me wrong)!
Its called nzb leech, search for it on android market
Cheers!
Ok, it downloads nzb files, but does it unpar them as well?

+1.. almost everything is in rar...
you guys are talking about reparing using the par2 files not unrar right? Anyways that feature is not currently there. Actually neither is unrar
But I agree it would be handy.
Very nice and easy. I would, however, like to see an option to pause, to have a collapsable display of the downloadlist so we don't see every single file being downloaded (handy if you have several things queued). Also, an option to delete the downloaded files after unraring. Would save space and time for the user.
I still use this App. Thanks god przemeknzb still working on it. There is still no competitor.
After a App reboot (3 years ago?) i bought/donate it again.

Hi everybody,
For your hacking pleasure, I've created an HTC Incredible emulator skin. Feel free to comment/suggest improvements.
Enjoy.
John
How do you incorporate this into the current emulator?
in the <android sdk>/platforms/android-7/skins directory...
Create a folder called "Incredible" (or whatever you want),
Unzip the files there.
Go the AVD manager and create an AVD, specifying the new skin.
Profit.
Maybe a dumb question, but when you (the original poster) post a topic like this and say you've created something, how are we suppose to find it or know how to download it without a direct link?
I'm new to all of this so I'm just wondering. I've come across this problem a couple of times now.
Thanks for any help.

It's attached to the OP. Your client might not show it.
if you're using the mobile app, attachments aren't shown.
Works great! Thanks!

Thats good to know. Now I won't use that app. haha.
I'd much rather use a browser then instead.
To OP,
Thanks, this will come in handy.
Thanks.
Thanks for posting it. Really helped.
To large for my screen resolution. Anyway to size it smaller?
Never mind I figure out how to modify the layout and I resized the images.
when i open the emulator in my sdk tools folder it pops up but then does nothing do i need to download something else?

Launch from the AVD manager and you can set the scale.
Thanks determinato_1969, it looks good. First time I used a skin. Now I need to spice up my dev/testing environment with some specific phones.
wow it's weird seeing an Incredible without sense.
All I see is little android guy with paperclip.
Why is it that so many things that should work out of the box on this phone requires a forum post? Maybe I'm just slow today.
Did you install the free office viewer? Search captivate in the market.

Quickoffice for Captivate.
I tried that.
But thanks for your post I gave it another go, and now, I have found my issue: .... the email attachment I used for my experiment was a PPTX and it doesn't recognize it ... only PPT
I re-did the experiment with a PPT attachment and it is fine.

You can download the free (read-only) version of Documents To Go app. This one supports PPTX. The QuickOffice app leaves a lot to be desired by it gives you capability to edit office docs as well as PDF viewing for free. So I had both on my phone.
It is nice to have a QuickOffice available to create docs.
However I use MS Office 2007 at work and am not able to open the files.
Anyone else have this issue and or a fix?

sorry but what version is the one that came with JH7?
Save your files in office using the file types that don't end with an 'x'. For instance, use .doc, not .docx.

+1 that'll work.
You can also try downloading with a different browse. If you want to use only stock browser then download Astro File Manager from the Market. Open the app and then open its settings and there's an option in there to enable downloading of all files. That'll fix the problem. What it is is the stock browser needs to be told there is an app to handle the file type its downloading. Otherwise it'll get confused and rename the file extension or just flat out refuse to download it.
Thanks a lot

alternatively folks, you can download to your pc and upload to dbox or something. I skipped the "getjar download helper" crap. you get a straight apk from the pc download

Yes. You can attach USB storage and there is a small amount of internal storage as well.

Wow great job Cpasjuste,
I really like this port of NzbGet to Android, thanks so much for this !
Aim planning to use this on my HDMI Rockchip 3066 stick "UG802"

Hi gadus!
Actually the process scripts are pretty difficult to add, you'll have to add unrar to system partition (need root) then set the script (some example available on nzbget website).
But I'll try to implement native unrar "next year".

thank you!
this is a good energy-saver
postprocess would be great and yes i do love it!
running it on my new UG802 which i bought before and just googled nzbget :victory: :victory:
btw how does it "cache" the downloaded files?
would be nice to run in ram or on usb-storage entirely, i don't trust the internal nand too much

This app is phe·nom·e·nal ! Excellent port and work! Once native unrar is added this will be the best thing since canned beer. I can hardly wait.
Yes the app is amazing. I mounted a network drive using CifsManager and set the path within the DestDir field but I'm getting an ErrCode 2 when it tries to create the destination directories on download.
I'm guessing it has to do with permissions. Can anyone provide some guidance?
Thanks!

Hi, just tested NZBGet Mobile. Everything works fine.
Got a Nexus 10 with "only" 16 GB. I haven't rooted the device yet.
But i also wonder if it will work with mounted drives as destination directories (CifsManager, Stickmount etc.).
Seems fairly good to me - but one major problem I found was adding the NzbProcess=~/nzbprocess.sh path as suggested. Now when downloading files they just disappear into the void instead of putting completed files in the specified directory. Possibly due to the non-rooted device I tried it on.
I have to disable this option go back to manually deleting all the partial rar files afterwards which is a real pain. Otherwise very well done. :good:
This is very interesting ... Thanks!
I use to have a running version of sickbeard on my phone, but it was way too much hassle to keep setup
This might be better
1st post updated with new market link ! ( had to change package name as i did lost this keystore :x )
