Tell us the procedure...on how to make it... and we can surely help you out...
bt can you also tell us the need ??

just reboot phone to get dmesg from 0.0000
You'll need a terminal emulator, just type dmesg, then email to yourself, or copy paste to text file and put in this thread.

Presently Atrix is not having the Official ICS and 3.x.x.x kernel, So Atrix Developers are making the 3.x.x.x kernel and they are stuck, Both Atrix and Galaxy R is having the same Tegra 2 Chipset and we are having the 3.x.x.x kernel and ICS, so they are asking our help....

WOW, someone from other forum asking help from Galaxy R section...cool
our device is popular
and dudes there at Atrix forum, good luck

First of all, good luck with the project!
Did you try to use the GB kernel and libs with AOSP/CM ICS/JB? I booted CM10 with them a while ago. The screen was green because of framebuffer/gralloc differences, but it was a good starting point. You can try to build a preliminary version and if you don't get the green screen (which is the case with some devices using the same method), you are good to go. Or can do some changes in the kernel to eradicate the green screen. (I didn't do this, because we got official ICS in the meantime, so I moved on to it.)

We are currently using the GB libs, but the drivers are not fully compatible, so we dont have HWA and camcorder. The JB roms are great, but not fully functional, so the devs are trying to port the moto xoom kernel to atrix, and one of them asked for a dmesg from Galaxy R. I'm not sure for what, but it's something related to the booting process, since the kernel is not booting yet.
Anyway, thank you guys for your help, android community is great!

porting the Galary R 3.1.10 kernel, to Olympus platform.

Just had a brief test and the back facing camera had a little problem tho.
The screen is totally black and can't see a thing but front facing one is ok. If I take a snapshot the camera crashes.

no sources, no port. wait till december.
but then we'll work on the top devices first (i9000, i9100), so you'll maybe get ICS in middle of next year.

really samsung has messed with our phone. They have given strong hardware support but bad complex coding has messed everything. Amit has really great knowledge of kernal coding. He also tried alot differents stuffs related to kernal such as overclocking. But he always failed like skin in getting a stable overclock kernal. They are also frustrated because they never come to know what was missing or messed in kernal codes.
I am sure that if Amit give more time for developement to u then ur both effort's will do some magic.

Hi all!
All I want to say that thank to XDA's community and its devs , Ive seen the evolution of the scene SGR from no roms nor kernels to infected and titanium roms and as I seen theres a CM7 project on the go and even AOSP.... thats much more than I expected when I bought it so thanks for everything!
Uh, I was just looking up on MIUI rom and I have got a question. Why is CM more popular? MIUI seems like a much nicer experience.
MIUI is much newer, supports quite few devices and it's basically based on CM. To get MIUI u must first have CM /AOSP.

How do you make an Odin flash able ROM and one for CWM?
Sent from my GT-I9103 using XDA App
I've heard that NVflash is a lower level of firmware flashing than Odin and NVflash makes Optimus 2x almost inbrickable.
Is it possible that we can have this method for our phones too?

Odin flashable roms aren't easy to make! And CWM needs an Updater-Script which have to be written according to our custom rom n file structure! Take a look at herehttp://freeyourandroid.com to get u started..

Seeking advice on building AOSP
Hi,
I want to learn building ROMS. I am aware that it is a difficult job, but I want to give it a try. I have read the AOSP buld instructions, but they don't mention the steps involved in creating a new build target. I understand that the process is maybe different for each device, so could any of the ROM developers here please tell me about the steps involved in doing the same for our Galaxy R?
If the answer is very involved, a short summary and relevant links will help a lot, too.

I would be happy to help port kernel 3.x to this device. Your best bet is to go for kernel 3.4 as it's newer and will have more security and performance boosts, and it will also have updates to the OMAP architecture.
The only thing holding me back from helping you guys is the lack of a device. I have heard a few people want to organise one (some guy named Fuss is getting rid of his?), I'd be happy to pay for shipping the device to New Zealand.
This is OMAP so anything is possible for this phone.

So Mamica, since we're in the general section, can you enlighten us with your reason for asking the ETA and the developer of Kernel 3.0 over and over and over again? What's the reason for this urgency?

@Mamika, you don't have to ask this in every thread u see. If people don't answer u is because it is answered. It is very simple to read threads and get ur own answers to everything. People is tired of other who want the easy way. They ask and want people to solve their doubts and questions...
Kernel 3.0 port hasn't started. Hillbeast is going to compile it and dhiru will use it to solve bugs like HW acceleration in video. Hillbeast needs a device. Fuss has sent his device to hillbeast a week ago and it is going by ship so we don't know when will it arrive. No one knows that so please stop asking, be pacient and do not spam the threads. Hope u understand..

so far no good it flashed but i got stuck on the cyanogen circle..... it may have been my fault for more than one reason
i DID NOT wipe cache, cause i was on magicmod and tried to just upgrade, prob the culprit
recovery locked up on me directly after i opened justinbeanaroma to install inverted g apps, but i didnt reboot first, so could have been that
i installed through cm10 recovery, and there was no recovery after i installed this rom, so i think the data files left from no wipe may have either messed with this cm10 recovery, or this one doesnt have one
i had to rds back to 2.3.6 and just got back to leak 1
im gonna root real quick and install through bootstrap and ill let u guys know whats up
hashcodes name is on this tho, so i think i messed up, and i think this might still work....

hope you will success! waiting for your reply.

ok folks after a bunch of crap, feeling like a noob for a few hours, then cunsulting with the master of masters mr jimbridgman (next time i think of him or someone smarter than me first.... lol) heres the deal....
these roms are a test so to speak, and as far as i know none of them work, not cause they are faulty, but because kexec is not working properly on our phones, you can install it, you can wipe install and everything else really cool in a custom recovery, but the clincher is, when you try to boot the "safe system" the phone just hangs on a black screen.....
however.....
as a recovery tool only, safestrap isnt bad lol...
so the greatest question of all, can we port some of these to run without safestrap.... ill look into it.... must be possible...

It is possible, if you include kexec and the kernel files in the right location in the ROM that is built from this, then the phone will boot fully, and do a soft reset with the new kernel. I am not too sure that even that will work well. I have not had much luck with kexec in ICS yet. I had it working on GB and even was able to boot my early CM7 builds, but after an update in MAY that stopped working too. So.... good luck.

hey daavis, i had sent a mail asking whether this is in fact for the A2.. Got this reply..
Aniruddha:
My apologies for not having the appropriate threads set up ahead of time. CrackFlasher is still quite new, and the three users that moderate it, all have very busy schedules.
Please find the below threads that deal with your device. And yes, this is for the Atrix 2.
I believe you will need to use SafeStrap developed by Hashcode to flash these Roms, as for we just build them from source, but do not have a valid device to physically test on.
These Roms are development Roms, as in stock [branch] compile from source. Feel free to use these Roms as a base for Custom Rom Development. We would love to see your work, or other's, on CrackFlasher.com.
http://www.crackflasher.com/forumdisplay.php?47-Atrix-2-Development
Thanks again, and feel free to become a member and join the community. It's a slow building one, but we all do have one thing in common. We're all CrackFlashers.
Have a good day.

no, not yet, these build are not ready for users. Someone set these up for auto-builds, that works with hashcode. Hashcode said that they do not work as of yet. I would not use these or even try unless you have some dev experience.

im about to give her another whack, after finally ( fedora 17 doesnt speak well with my video card, ubuntu [eh' i know noob build, but lets face it it runs nice and has tons of documentation] decided it didnt like my wireless card [ ok so it decided to fail installing the firmware and after hours explained to me what was wrong] ) getting my m1330 back together, and running effin wicked fast again, i need to know what files i need to play with to get my little cm build booting....
jim what would you expect was the culprit if she soft boots after building any cache? the log wont show anything through cm recovery, is there a log i can pull through adb or something that will bring a beacon of light to my daavviscm10build dreariness?
