What is the most stable, rock solid, just plain works ROM for the t-bolt?
I have a co-worker that bought one used, it had thundershed 1.5 on it, and he wanted something different so we put NuSense ICS on it, it was cool at first, but after 5 days with it, it was horrible, slow, laggy, he had some other issues, excessive battery drain. He read that Mik Roms were good, so we put Mikrummy gingerbread on there....it seems to be more stable the NuSense, but he is still haveing some random reboots etc...
So what is the bottom line, no issues, everyday ROM....in your opinion?
thanks,
Justin
If you don't like thundershed, use skyraider. Great custom rom, no issues.

What other builds of CM are there for ThunderBolt? AoSP
If you can find it, Protekk had a build, there was Slayhers build, and a couple over at rootzwiki.

I'm not touching that one with a ten foot pole when it comes to AOKP and ICS stuff, but I'm pretty sure his cm7 build was based off of Slayhers. Didn't have anything to do with Liquids.

SFK's CM7 is a great rom. It includes the CM version of ADW launcher and works well. RomZOMBIE was also thundershed 1.6 based and a solid rom overall, though the theming was never finished. Jellyblur (spjester's) is solid, and also based on thundershed. Jester's CM7/Miui rom was also a good one. Lots of CM7 choices available... Then there's th3ory roms, OMGB/OMFGB, liquidGB...

For the record, they're both CM kangers, but both (at least recently) credit cyanogenmod, so... Either dev's allegations against the other are irrelevant IMO. Protekk and liquid are GREAT developers IMO, and i appreciate their work. Protekk's CM7 was based on slayher's, but protekk compiled his CM7 builds from newer CM source. Protekk's builds were CM7.2.3.7, whereas slayher's were CM7.1.1

I listed more than ten roms... Sfk cm7 is on rootz. Spjester's cm7/miui is on rootz as well, so is protekk's CM7. myself and others have links on rootz to SOME th3ory roms, and i linked OMGB/OMFGB on rootz, but they may be on mechacentre as well, i sent jimmyco links for them. Jellyblur, romZOMBIE, liquid GB, and slayher's CM7 are here on XDA. I'd be glad to help out with links, if you were more specific.

Revolution is waiting on a couple different devs to respond back about an OC kernel, I'm working on compiling AOSP 2.2, Ayo is testing out his MIUI styled rom, there's your news.

I have the utmost respect for the developers. I understand that this isn't a popular phone, so any new rom is a blessing.
I had a feeling those guys would be more willing to come back once a finalized version of GB was released. It had to be frustrating when we were getting leaks every couple of weeks or so to try to stay current.
I welcome any new ROMs, but I heard talks that Kejar was going to work with the CM team to port CM7.. What happened to that =[ ?
I'm mainly interested in the fact that Wiimote apps work on CM7

Thanks. I haven't followed what's been going on with Liberty and am still using Gummy FE. I think my phone runs great and I really like Voodoo Sound while playing Pandora in the car. I don't want to upgrade to GB until IMoseyOn has a nicely developed GB kernel, based on source. After that, the ROMs will fall in line. That's my thought at least.
Since I'm happy with Gummy FE, I assume that Liberty will be my go-to ROM. Having said that, I have no experience with Humble or Infinity, but I've heard good things about both. In the end, I use DroidBlaze's MinimalGummy theme and really like it. I'll probably wind up on Liberty since he's only been creating themes for Gummy and hasn't themed for Humble or Infinity (to my knowledge).

well im running the stock galnetmiui, and it seems stable enough. i cant believe ICS has been available all this time. im gonna try to slip faux123's kernal in now.
If this is it how come CM and others aren't using it to get their cameras working?
galnet is just a framework merge to ICS it doesnt have the ICS APK's, yet that is. im guessing thats why cm team hasnt used the code, cm team is probably using the ics camera APK.
also faux123's ds kernal v 048 is working fine so far.
It doesn't have much of anything from ics except a couple of things it just just has 4.0.3 in the build prop, you can do that with 2.2 builds. I don't even think it has the basics from ics in it. It is not worth the flash IMO. It is a basic miui build with some tiny modifications that are not noticeable again IMO

Yup I agree with mt3g.
Is says that it is 4.0.1 but it is very stable. I have been running it for about a week with Morfics The Destroyer 1.6ghz kernel and it is awesome. Very stable and fast. I have not had any reboots or SOD. Wifi calling works perfect as well. You will not be disappointed if you flash this rom.

From what I gathered while on it that was when it first came out, it is a flash over zip you have to install latest miui and them the ics layover (kinda like a theme for 2.3.3) not really though lol. I didn't even notice anything different at all.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
So general consensus is no this is not 4.0.1, it's just MIUI with a BS version number.

Weather it is or isn't I don't know. But you can not go by a Screenshot of the Android Version. That can be changed in the build.prop.

Not ICS... simply has some pieces stolen...
By that logic, Tsugi has "Some ICS Code" in it... as in, I used some of the images out of ICS in the theme, as well as a little xml and the screen animations. Doesn't make it ICS.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say because they falsify information in their roms most likely. Callin this 4.0.1 is completely inaccurate. Just because it has a couple of "ICS features".
If I remember right it is just the fact the galnet asked if there versions would not be put on XDA

So in other words, the latest build the dev team has put out is just an amalgamation that's only partially ICS with the rest of it being part and parcel Gingerbread, huh?
Really looking forward to seeing hardware acceleration. I couldn't tell ya whether it'll really be the next thing since sliced bread.
Any word on whether this might allow us to run games more smoothly? I think I read somewhere that it's also a matter of developers writing code into their games that make better use of Nvidia's GPU? With the Tegra 2 being a CPU that's bound to age in 2012, I have to doubt that ICS will help us in games.
I was creeping the cyanogenmod google+ page and they mentioned having at least two t989 phones. At least this gives some hope of them picking up our device.

It was who ever was working at the O2x forum "ICS 4.0 Sources Released....." If you mean those old alpha's from back in November, those are unrelated to to our ICS builds.
About HW accel, it works, but media accel doesn't work very well.
I feel that whitehawkx AOKP with the forward ported kernel works well. If you by chance judged it as sluggish because you used EB ICS build 3 and flashed a different kernel it's because you can't flash other kernels on EB ICS.
Sent from Narnia
It's been stated by almost all devs including arcee stating that HW accel isn't 100% just a hack to get it sort of working.
I didn't flash a different kernel on EB ICS, as it has been stated not too.

So who fixed it then? cause it feels the same as it did with arcees build 3, sure its a little smoother but not enough to be fixed 100%. Arcee made the statement about 3 weeks ago that the hack is as good as it's going to get without drivers/source...
