i was told of a ported OC kernel by revolution
Revolution is waiting on a couple different devs to respond back about an OC kernel, I'm working on compiling AOSP 2.2, Ayo is testing out his MIUI styled rom, there's your news.
Now that's a reliable source I can bank on.

Blur kinda took a break for this, but im working on it.

Hey. I'll admit, I complained. I mean he'll the Sgs2 just came out and they have 1.5 oc already and a bunch of others, but this makes me a lot less worried cause I choose this over CM or anyone..
I'm stoked I loved TW when I had my vibrant!!! Now hopefully faux will get his g2x bc I also loved his work. Development for this phone is looking up =D

Different phone, different developement. Cant make that comparison. We have 2 OC kernels, CM7 nightlies, and AOSP builds in the works. Strong development doesnt come over night. I dont understand why people expect our dev section to look like the Galaxy i9000 in a matter of weeks

This is kinda freaky, and I'm being completely serious about this. Last night I had a dream that teamwhiskey got a g2x and they were gonna release a new rom soon (Yes, I'm a complete dork who dreams about android development lol)
I dont even know who team whiskey is, I've just seen the name by glancing at the vibrant forums when I had my epic.
Don't worry I haven't had any dreams about 2012 yet so we are good for now

Yes 2.3.3 ASOP! This is going to be the bidness! TW rocks! Not sure about other phones, but they rule the Vibrant Development! Most Vibrant Roms are based off theirs!

Because roms like this are not being developed from scratch and the guys/gals who make them are not developers in the sense of the definition of the word. What they do is take stock roms, and then make changes and tweaks to theme them and add a few features. But they are basically stock roms with stock drivers. There are only a few true developers who compile roms such as the people that do AOSP roms or CM. I am not downplaying what these guys do and many people enjoy their work; but don't expect a higher version number than what LG has already put out.
Love the theme. Seems like a good Alternative to Weapon roms. I like good elegant themes... not themes that are slopped together with random colored icons.
My Current Choices for sexy roms:
MIUI
CM7 w/ Captivated Theme
AXURA
Its real snappy. Only thing is watchinv facebook videos, the video goes dark after a few sec. Other than that, its a good rom.

Why does it matter if everything works? Cm develops from aosp as far as I know. They just beat LG to the bunch IMO.

I have the utmost respect for the developers. I understand that this isn't a popular phone, so any new rom is a blessing.
I had a feeling those guys would be more willing to come back once a finalized version of GB was released. It had to be frustrating when we were getting leaks every couple of weeks or so to try to stay current.
I welcome any new ROMs, but I heard talks that Kejar was going to work with the CM team to port CM7.. What happened to that =[ ?
I'm mainly interested in the fact that Wiimote apps work on CM7

kernel source means nothing to anyone but imoseyen amongst gummycharged/liberty and he doesnt just make kernels for them, he posts them for all
id imagine liberty for the charge will just be updated gummy stuff because a lot of what is in liberty is for moto phones...will there be new stuff? sure...but it wont be identical

Thanks. I haven't followed what's been going on with Liberty and am still using Gummy FE. I think my phone runs great and I really like Voodoo Sound while playing Pandora in the car. I don't want to upgrade to GB until IMoseyOn has a nicely developed GB kernel, based on source. After that, the ROMs will fall in line. That's my thought at least.
Since I'm happy with Gummy FE, I assume that Liberty will be my go-to ROM. Having said that, I have no experience with Humble or Infinity, but I've heard good things about both. In the end, I use DroidBlaze's MinimalGummy theme and really like it. I'll probably wind up on Liberty since he's only been creating themes for Gummy and hasn't themed for Humble or Infinity (to my knowledge).

Blur is the style of framework Motorola used for their phone. As far as I know. Liberty would be sweet. It was great on the X.

There is a fully functional ROM in Modaco, Trip needs help with the Kernel...
I'm thinking the only aosp release were gonna see is trips, then people will try and kang it just like what happened with miui. Development for the sensation really seems to suck banana ball sacks. All we ever get is sense roms.

Not really, trip is very bipolar and takes his fans in the roller coaster ride with him. One moment he is on the very cusp of a finished rom, the next he is packing up and quitting development. This repeats over and again. Plus, his rom looks to be held together by duct tape. A Frankenstein of rom at best.
Who knows what's going on with cm9? I don't care anymore as the Htc rom has really gotten pretty good thanks to our devs. I don't think they are any further than trip is. Sounds like we need more from Htc to get things working right.

on vacation datz a long vacation since that day lol as for now i am sticking with Trip ROM so far so good only have problems with a few stuff n love the way ICS ASOP works on my phone
I believe the truth is that ICS AOSP is stuck with getting the camera to work as well as getting GPU/full HWA to work right. No one has this working, yet, and is likely why Kmobs is enjoying his GN now instead of the Sensation. Everyone is pretty much stuck until HTC releases more code to us.
