Hi, I used xperia flasher by Bin4ry+Androxyde. Rooted successfully, SuperUser icon is there, the log says:
26/014/2012 20:14:03 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging on

BUT when I switch it off, and on again und press volume up, nothing happens. Two weeks ago it worked, i got access to the phone, but now nothing happens. Oh and I got last week new factory soft, as the phone didn't turn on anymore, after installing a new ROM.
Where is the problem? Why can't I access root?

Hello. I'm new at this great forum. Excuse my english, I'm from Spain. Several days trying to solve my problem, reading at google, forums, etc. This is the matter:
I bought recently an Xperia ray, bootloader blocked, updated to 4............62 Then, I realised that this firmware cannot be rooted. So I`ve downloaded previous firmwares, 042 and 058 and tried to flash via flashtool so as to revert my 062 firmware to those 042 or 058. but there is no way to flash. I start flashing with the phone switched off and ge this message:

05/009/2012 14:09:31 - INFO - Flashtool Version 0.6.6 built on 2012-01-08 19:34:23

05/011/2012 14:11:04 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
However, I previously put USB debugging on, for sure.
Then, I tried conecting USB cable with the phone switched on, and get this message:
05/045/2012 13:45:03 - INFO - <- This level is successfully initialized

After that, no further actions, and no flash done. I dont know what else i can do. Help, please. I also tried using different usb ports, with no result.
Thanks in advance.
Problem solved.
Thanks.

Hello,
I've wasted a lovely sunny morning trying to root the Sony Xperia e1 with no sucess. Also did tons of research on this matter but can't find nothing conclusive...
So... I know you can unlock it if you follow sony instructions, and as far as I know you can install root with a locked bootloader using a software called flashtool. I installed flashtool and tried to root my phone, as many people suggest in their videos and tutorials, but I got an error message and it screwd my google chrome ( I fixed chrome already). The error message it's similar to this one:

I installed all flash tool drivers available in the program and noticed that in the folder "devices", the model of my phone "D2005", isn't listed there - maybe it's because of this that I can't root ??? - .
I've thought of clicking on the BLU button, but since the videos and tutorials I saw didn't suggest this I got worried and afraid of screwing something up.
Well I would really love to root my phone and still have the thing locked so I can receive auto updates and don't mess with my warranty.
Maybe I'm missing something but I really got the feeling that it is possible to successfully go through this procedure and it's not necessary to unlock your bootloader and install recovery the traditional way.
Aditional Information:
Android version: 4.3;
Compilation Number: 20.0.A.1.21;
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
The best regards,
Absinto10
Towelroot.com then follow instructions, takes 5min to root. Install superuser and update binary after towelroot.
Hello all, this is my first Sony phone but this is not my first time rooting or anything, I have a OPO and upgraded to this. Love it so far.
Here's my problem, I had camera zadas http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/mod-xperia-camera-unlocked-t3071161 and wanted to change it to the new Z5 camera so I flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/mod-xperia-z5-premium-camera-libs-files-t3260819 in recovery before removing camera zadas because I thought it would over write it, nope.
Just worsened image quality so I try to revert back by restoring my stock camera app "SEMCamera UI" or something and put it in priv-app where its supposed to be. I do that and reboot and now I am in a bootloop.
I can reboot to dual recovery and it shows philztouch,
in the flashtool prompt it shows,

I rooted using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
I have a locked bootloader
I cannot get into flashmode.
Im just not sure what to do from this point, I have the stock firmwares on hand, I'm just wondering if its safe to flash or what.
If you need more info just ask. Thank you in advance from a sony noob
EDIT: [finally got drivers for flashmode, just reverted]
Hi!
Some days ago my phone's battery has just died, I was charging it all night, but when I tried to turn it on it started to Bootloop. Then I was trying to flash the original sony system, but the Sony Flashtool program needs to have USB Debugging to be on. On my phone it wasn's turned on, so Im stock at this point, I cant flesh the thing on my E3. I would really appreciate If you would help me if you can.
So the main question is: how can I solve the problem about USB Debugging if the phone is softbricked?
Sony Flashtool: 21/039/2016 13:39:03 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
21/039/2016 13:39:03 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
I was trying to connect my phone in flash mode, but it failed because of not having USB Debugging on. Is there any way to enable USB Debugging if the phone is softbricked?

Hi !
I have the same problem.
Do you solve this ??
No, I couldnt solve the problem, I bought a chineese phone, instead of trying to fix.
Im sorry about yours.
Hello,
I've flashed my Xperia L once or twice some time ago, now I just wanted to try out some of the new goodies, not just stay on the cursed 4.2.2. I have it all set up correctly software-wise, yet whenever I run Flashtool (version 9.19.8( and try to Volume-Down connect my phone, it get's problematic. Yeah, the phone does connect in flash mode, yet after a couple dozen seconds it simply disconnects as if I had manually unplugged it. Phone restarts and gets connected to PC the standard-way.
Now, is it that Flashtool automatically cuts off the connection after some time, or my cable or socket(s) are faulty? I thought it had something to do with having moved cable a tiny bit and connection being lost but now, I have tried again, ensuring no movement will be involved and it just disconnected again. I did also check all my laptop's USB ports, also bought a USB HUB and checked it. Did check two different cables, one for some Nokia, I think, no results.
Here's flashtool log.

First of all, you should check this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70833785&postcount=304
There, I've said that you should just use older versions of flashtool for XL, like v0.9.18.4 !
If it doesn't solve your problem, then you should flash the ROM , right after you connect the phone to pc, as fast as you can!
And note that if it disconnects again, do nothing, just unplug the phone and wait untill the progress bar is completed and rom is prepared for flashing, then it again asks to connect the phone, and you connect it and wait untill it Finnishes
It happened for me too, and with this method, I've flashed the ROM successfully!
