Have you ever heard the Mobile Phone Throwing Championships? You don't need to attend it. Try this app! It can let you know how far you can throw your cell phone. Just hold it to do a throwing action, but do not really throw it out. It can show you the best throwing distance.
Of course you can use it to do some arm exercises.
- An online top list included where you can submit score
Search "Mobile Phone Throwing" on Android Market.
Any questions or suggestions, I will be monitoring this thread!
Thanks Guys

OK.i put it.
thanx a lot! placed it at russian PDA forum, people have a lot of fun
UPDATE: tested it for several times, but it shows the much smaller distance than IRL. Are these any tricks? My top result is about 5m only.
I foresee a LOT of destroyed android phones in the future.
How about creating an app that shows how high you can throw your phone in the air based on GPS? You can always catch it when it comes down... or try to.
It's only a $600 phone =)

um ok?
really weird app haha
i haven't been here for a few months due to the job.
I find this place has changed too much and i can't find the useful information at here any more, such as, i can't find how to hard reset or enter the bootloader for a HTC model (HTC diamond,HTC HD7,etc), but those information was very easy to found at the forum/wiki before.
May i know what's happened here and where can i find these infoemation?
Thank you very much for your advise!
You probably are spelling it wrong.

can you please answer my question:
- where to find the information i want ( hard reset, enter bootloader, etc)
Thank you.
I entered bootloader Diamond in the search box(up in the top left hand corner with the magnifying glass to the right of it) and got this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405659
It was the first result.
Try it for the other devices you want

it that means we can't find those useful information at xdawiki any more?
I don't know about the xdawiki, but xda is still excellent for finding information. Basically everytime I google anything xda is the first hit. This website singlehandedly helped me unbrick a droid2, which then led me to join this community.
Got to have a bit of faith.

why all those useful information has been delleted from the wiki?
Idk about infos, actually i've always found what i needed, and i still do...tho there's one thing that changed quite a lot: the "quality" of users...i'm not starting a rant here, i just wanna say that the android explosion made xda more mainstream, and this has ofc pros and cons. The community is probably bigger now, but there's a lot of kids around, maybe because android appeals young people much more than winmo used to do...at least that's what i think. Not saying that young people are annoying in general, most of them know how to behave, but ofc some are just not mature enough and spam around with stupid posts or start useless threads, flash things without knowing what they're actually doing and then start nonsense complaints cluttering dev sections. Just my 2 cents...
Hey guys! It's been a long while, for some reason my post count is greatly reduced, but oh well, all you old timers probably remember me, lol.
Anyway, so here's the deal, I'm launching my record label, Syko Records, and I've been trying to think of creative ways to dominate the industry, being a no-name-up-and-comer I have to be innovative. Of course, I thought of all my genius pals here at XDA, and hope that maybe someone would be interested in volunteering their time for the cause.
I don't have any monetary compensation, but I'm sure we can work out something that benefits you for your time!
If anyone is interested in being a part of the next big movement in music, please let me know and lets get started!
Peace!
Ken
Oh come on, I know someone wants a chance to work with an indie record label! I hoped there would have been a better response!
Anyone!?

Hahaha, well actually I'm always checking out artists, if you want to send me over a digital press kit I'll be more than happy to check it out, especially since you're an XDA buddy.
Send me a PM, and I'll shoot you an email to send some tracks to.
....testes one two three...testes one two three.....is THIS THING ON? lol j/k...
So seriously REALLY? There are no giving souls out there?
I'm no app developer yet but what exactly are you looking for? Ive been wanting to learn it for a while but haven't really found anything to create that hasn't already been done a million times. I'd love to help if you have enough time for me to learn as I go. Hit me up on gtalk: [email protected] if you're interested.

I encourage any developers interested in rap and hip hop to check out my website www.sykorecords.com.

hi all
my main reason for buying galaxy note 10.1 is reading pdf files, marking text in them, writing answers in workbooks, etc.
i didn't get to any conclusion about your experience with your tablet regarding this matter
do u suggest galaxy note 10.1 as a book reading tool? or more generally, as a student paper replacement tool?
is it easy to use for big pdf files? or u have to wait wait for the pdf files to load?
u know, i could easily print a hard copy and read it! i mean i am not looking to use technology at ANY cost but i wanna know if it's bearable
your valuable experience could help me a lot!
thanks in advance
Never tell jokes on honesty....
This is my sheer opinion: if you're looking for an e-book reader, go for something else. GN10.1 is way more than it, all the things you ran down don't require such features.
If all you want is a PDA reader get a much cheaper tables and buy ezPDF app @ fro the play store.
The Note 10.1 is great for reading but, much more.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk HD
Yes you can use it as a paper replacement tool, you might need to check out the apps others are using. I tend to not use the note for writing a lot which is fine for me to use snote or polaris but others will be able to point you in the direction of better apps.
One that keeps coming up is lecturenotes. I also use EZPDF to read/annotate PDF files...
Lecture notes is what is great about this tablet to me. Its so customizable you can always bend it to fit your needs.

I am a BS physics student and the note has almost completely replaced paper and my laptop. The only time I turn to paper is if I need to constantly reference a book that is on the note itself, multiwindow doesnt really solve that problem. I can write over pdfs, take pictures of handwritten documents and write over them, write in textbooks etc. As far as a reader only, the ipad is way better.
i hope you have got your reply but let me sum it up
If you are looking for only an Ebook READER then kindle would be the device.
But if you are looking at something that will help you take notes, read ebooks, make notations on ebooks, then there is nothing better then note in the market as of today.
Yeah I used to carry tons of papers and worksheets to college every day. Im studying accounting. The note is all I take now. Amazing.
If your looking to just do work on it I think you'd be better off with a Microsoft surface, they look perfect for that stuff

I got my Note at christmas and have since been using it to revise for my A2 exams, i am studying Physics, Maths and Further Maths and have found it very useful being able to annotate question papers, mark schemes specifications and formula sheets. It also makes revision easier by being able to look anything up using the split screen feature and the formula match in SNote.
Regards
Jack
P.S if/when you get the note try an app called "papyrus" personally i find this the best for writing long notes etc...
well...thanks every one for your kind and precise answers...
frankly, i failed to mention my actual meaning of creating this post...
like most of u, i am completely aware of the profound capabilities of this tablet (have swept the net for any review on the device)
though i just wanted to reassure about it having no lags regarding the matter of reading and commenting on ebooks (something very important to me though!)
thanks again everyone especially Samir_a
getting my note as soon as possible

What something looks like and what it actually does is 2 very different things... Until there is more out about these tablets I'll stick with what I know as there have been mixed reviews about them...
Besides, I like to try out myself...

No lags, with 2Gb of RAM there shouldn't be.... I actually have a library of about 4500 ebooks stashed on my memory card for those times when boredom sets in. My only problem is it takes a while to settle on which book to read....
Read pdf 5/5
Watch movies 5/5
Play games 5/5
Stay hours n hours doing something 10/10

Papyrus is alright, but I thought lecture notes has many more features. Why do you like papyrus the most?
Just noticed that Flipboard uses the Air View option, in the home screen you can hover all over the topics and it gives you a preview of the articles, for me it's very cool, nice to see Samsung's features available on Third Parties apps.
And what you just had to make a stupid thread about it.....

I have always asked myself why on this great and other main forums, arrogant people that think themselves so above the rest, come to every thread to post a reply even more stupid than the one they critic.
This is first of all an informative forum, people come here to learn about their devices, so far I haven't seen anyone posting about it, so I came here to inform all of you about it, if you don't like it, just keep on moving, others may appreciate knowing about it.
That's all I have to say about your insult...
Unbelievable...
Good post, erasat.
The guy above just an idiot...I meant.. he was creating a thread on dropping the phone on concrete and was wondering about it.
Now that IS stupid!

All that dude does is go around posting pointless insults. And not in the "search first, noob" kind of way, but rather in the "I don't get enough attention and have to take out my lack of self esteem on internet forums" kind of way.
Best way to deal with people (and I use the term loosely) like that is to completely ignore them. Nothing pisses of someone trying to seem important or insulting than completely disregarding what they're saying. You can't reason with ignorance. But you can piss it off by ignoring it.

Lol, some people... good response OP.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Actually some of these "gimmicky" features, as some people refer to them, need highlighted. So, thanks OP--:0
And yes a few here take every opportunity to bash someone, they are on every Forum I have been on from day one. Just best not to respond. Playing Devil's advocate though, I do sometimes respond to those who want the step by step answer with no research on their own. Main reason I don't like that is that they are doing themselves a disservice by not learning the how and why things are done the way they are in flashing roms. It will come back to haunt them.
I actually use a number of these features and they work very well. Except :eye" scrolling. Hopefully that will be improved and hope app devs and Goolge allow more programs to use these features.
There are too many negative comments on these features here and in reviews along with the screen issue to cause people to hesitate buying this phone. So, these goodies need highlighted in these threads from time to time. It is absolutely a fantastic phone. Functional and Fun at the same time--
Best I have ever owned. Not that I didn't love my Nexus One and HTC One S, but technology just keeps producing better products. And 5 inch is perfect screen size for me.
I agree, good post. I have been trying to figure out how to use air view but it just won't work for me (tried it on the gallery). What other apps work with it?

It will work on Flip Board and Stock Calendar. Do you have it selected in Options?
Can't recall what others atm
EDIT: Oh, works on speed dial--hover over number and contact comes up. don't have to memorize my speed dials now--
Also, by accident had it work on Music Player. If you hover over the lower Next and Previous symbols it will tell you next/previous song. These are when Music player is full screen with Album Art.
