Have you ever heard the Mobile Phone Throwing Championships? You don't need to attend it. Try this app! It can let you know how far you can throw your cell phone. Just hold it to do a throwing action, but do not really throw it out. It can show you the best throwing distance.
Of course you can use it to do some arm exercises.
- An online top list included where you can submit score
Search "Mobile Phone Throwing" on Android Market.
Any questions or suggestions, I will be monitoring this thread!
Thanks Guys

OK.i put it.
thanx a lot! placed it at russian PDA forum, people have a lot of fun
UPDATE: tested it for several times, but it shows the much smaller distance than IRL. Are these any tricks? My top result is about 5m only.
I foresee a LOT of destroyed android phones in the future.
How about creating an app that shows how high you can throw your phone in the air based on GPS? You can always catch it when it comes down... or try to.
It's only a $600 phone =)

hi guys. i have been searching the market for a good workout log. some are okay but some are bad. i cant find that one good one. i want one that would just let me write down the name of the exercise (not just pick one from a list that probably doesnt have my workout like in other apps), how many reps and the weight and keep it saved. also i want it to be like a calendar type of log to put in the logs of the days that i work out. is there such an app? any links or barcodes to similar apps would be appreciated to try out
Runkeeper ? Not good for you ?
Gym Book is the best one that I've found. It's could be a lot better though.
Pen and paper.
Seriously. There's nothing on android right now that is any good. Bodybuilding.com is working on an app right now but its not out yet.

yea i got the apk from here cuz i used to have it, wiped my phone and when google brought all my apps back, it left out that one. looked in the market but nothing. and then someone else told me their website was down...weird...but yea i got mens health and body fitness as references for different workouts and routines. i have tried work it out and workout coach and they both suck. so far gymbook is the best for logging in workouts but it still lacks the calendar logging feature which i think is important to keep proper track of your workouts. oh well this will do for now

Sorry for digging an old thread but it's what I need.
All the suggestions here whether discontinued or aren't that good.
I just need a simple, calendar type app that allows me to record my exercises. Any ideas?
I tried A LOT of apps on the market, but they're too complicated for my simple requirements.
try JetFit

I searched on the xda Forum, but i found nothing, so i decided to create this request post.
I do not know if it possible to create a real "Lie Detector" for a phone, even if it is for the HTC HD2.
But in order to, i think it could be a fake one, like "Fake FingerPrint LockScreen".
buy an iphone? oO
theres one on the android market = get android if you want it.

Scientifically speaking: there IS no working "lie detector" just by voice, it´s only approximations with high fail rate (80%) since tons of parameters have to be calculated and before have to be calibrated. You need: Face recognition, face muscle sensors, iris-contraction-anaylizis, blood pressure monitoring, skin-resistance-sensors, brain-wave-sensors, ECG and best: brain-PET............ and still failure rate is 10% +
The problem is: once You use these crappy iPhone-gimmicks You believe in them and then the crap starts ´cause You WANT to believe instead TO KNOW.
This is why humanity is in this deteriorated state: everybody only believes and nobody KNOWS ...........
I agree with you troed, and it is the raison why i searched a funny applications, because a real lie detector can be on a phone, for the moment.
I gave the example of "Fake FingerPrint LockScreen", because it is quite the same idea.
It is not possible for the moment to have a digital acces on a phone, but we can simulate it jsut for fun.

Maybe you guys shouldn't respond if you don't know what the program is. TheftAware is a 3rd party app that survives a flash and even a simcard change. It's a program that takes the administrative rights of your device to ensure that you get it back. Since it communicates thru SMS, it provides the number of whatever sim is inserted by texting it to a series of preferred contacts provided by you. You can set off a car alarm, disable the device and much, much more.
Here's a couple links for anybody who doesn't know what it is or hasn't actually read anything about it
Here
&
Here
Theft Aware is a great app. Been having it since my MT4G. It's great because if you swap out some cards, hard reset the phone, etc, you can still track down the phone and try to recover it. It has a greater value for phones that are rooted. Sometimes, just for fun, I send a text to my phone "lock on" and it start to say super loud " this phone is stolen or lost" and won't turn off unless I text it "lock off".

Ah, I missed in the OP where it mentioned an application or setting. It was such an in depth post. Congrats on deciphering it
I've been using it, I love how it gives more options for Root users. I haven't been unfortunate enough to have to use it, but it really gives me piece of mind.
Apparently you can activate GPS in the background, you can even silently call the phone and listen in. Taking remote camera shots would be AWESOME too, but I don't think it can do that (yet).
Plus, the app is German, so you know it's good.

Thanks, I'm aware that the app is available in English, I've purchased and am running the unlimited license.
I just meant that, because it's developed by Germans, you know it's good, like their cars. Great to hear the taking remote pictures is in dev.
Webremotecontrol & picture feature
the picturefeature is already in the new betaversion. Betatesters will soon be able to use the web remotecontrol interface.

Just purchased this app thanks to this thread, hopefully I'll never need tho
I nearly lost my phone at a concert last weekend when it was knocked out of my hands while video recording a song, took 15 minutes to find it in the sea of people since it was pitch black out. Now I'll feel alot better if this ever happens again!
Thanks!

I think it's smart marketing that recycles a very mundane feature. It's not exactly XDA material but I found it entertaining ^_^

You can do the same thing just by using chrome in desktop mode and use the other person cellphone WhatsApp web option and simple scan the barcode in your chrome or any browser. Just remember people always check that option in your WhatsApp so no one is spying on you lol. Beside the nsa

Most of the xda users in here just refer the thread title then go through.. So, it's true that your title itself says *No Root hack WhatsApp in 15secs*, so most of em' thought this thread is about hacking blah blah.so, they gonna leave a reply like that and most of em' even report these types of threads.
Change the title m8.

Please indulge us. Which one of the Forum Rules did the user violate? @uralok You don't need to change anything for anyone. In fact, this is a hack but more in the lifehack sense instead of the programming sense.
It has security value as well, which does fit nicely in the XDA culture. I don't have any experience with this feature but if it is true that the mobile user is not made aware that a web user is watching along, that's a pretty big deal. Is that the case?
Sizzled with Bacon
According to the video, you have to have access to the other person's device to use THEIR device to scan the code. Why not just open their app and see who they are chatting with? (OK maybe you are grabbing their phone while they go to the bathroom and you only have a few seconds...)
Not saying it can't be useful to someone but the title is sort of click bait?

No, not in XDA for hacking stuff. You can look at my post history. I try to help people with their phones or search for information on new phones.
XDA shows me new posts in certain categories (like Android Development), and this post came up. I looked at the video to see if anyone could "hack" my account and they can't -- unless they had my phone in their hands and knew my unlock code in the first place.
That would be my wife. So yes, she could "spy" on me, but that's not REALLY hacking, which is an overused word. Every tip or trick is not "hacking".
To me, it's not really hacking if you already have unlocked physical access to their device. It's more like just simple "spying".
More akin to the FBI physically placing a GPS tracking device under your car. The FBI did NOT "hack" your car. They are simply spying on you.
