well, after being around atrix 4g forum , realized that they have several radios to flash, recently I've been having trouble with my connection, i mean, before ics update(mb865 ics update) , the lowest signal bar counter was 4 bars, now it goes up and down like crazy getting the red cross where before i was getting 4 bars,
this happened to me when i flashed the respective ics leak to my mb860, then changed radio to an older one ,37p if i remember , and pafff problem solved, then it came to me , that i haven't seen any radio thread for the mb865 , is it possible to flash differnt radios? , or am i talking nonsense? thanks in advance , and im really lost about this subject

You can flash ANY radio from ANY fxz be it 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 or ICS, or heck you might even be able to flash an Asia, or Indian, or even Euro Radio from their FXZ's, so try several and see what works best for you. The reason to ONLY use the radio image files from the fxz, is because with our locked bootloader, we HAVE to flash radios ONLY signed by motorola, and since the fxz files are, they work.
Dumb question here. Is it possible to flash the radio.img using rsd?

You can, but you will HAVE to make a custom xml file with just the radio and it's sum in it, with no other files to flash or other flash instructions, in it.
It is just easier to do it with one command line in fastboot using the moto-fastboot command.
i think i got it wrong, triyed several radios but im getting the same status 7 on all of them (flashed through cwm under flash radio firmware option ) didn't have a chance to flash via moto-fastboot, ill try when I get back home , yust to make it clear , right command is
moto-fastboot flash radio radio.img or
moto-fastboot.exe flash radio radio.img

Yes it should, I used the Fastboot files listed on the noob guide, and this "How to flash the FXZ once applying the OTA update and get back to 2.3.5, ONCE YOU UPDATE TO THE OTS 2.3.6 YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FLASH THE 2.3.5 FXZ WITHOUT FOLLOWING THESE STEPS BELOW!!
NOTE: Download this file HERE -
Unzip it and move all the the items in it to the stock fxz. You might get a warning about replacing files, just click OK. NOTE that Windows might not be able to handle the size of the fxz. I have 6 GB RAM but Windows still wasn't able to perform a drag-and-drop through the fxz's zip. I recommend that you just unzip the fxz and then put the files in. (You don't have to rezip it either, RSD Lite will still recognize it and will flash faster).
You should be able to use RSD Lite to flash the file.
THANKS TO COGEARY FOR THESE STEPS
" that's all there, so you should be able to flash over stock 2.3.6, boot into fastboot and run this

Instead of using RSD to flash stock, you can use this automatic script.
I've never had to flash a fxz either. So i'm not totally understanding it. Do we flash the zip from our sd card on our phones without a computer involved? Do we extract the zip first. I'm bewildered :banghead:
I don't have a windows box so none of that rsd stuff applies either. If this could work for me I'd be grateful to anybody for explaining it. Also, more willing to experiment haha.

It's a Windows batch file that uses fastboot commands to flash the contents of an fxz to your phone. Since you're on Linux then it wouldn't work for you, but it wouldn't be hard to make a shell script adaptation of it.
Ah ha! More clues haha. I understand what your saying. I need to get that process down so I can have more confidence in my own development.

Nope. No modem. Just flash another if you don't like LE2. And the experience won't change. You'll never prefer stock over CM9. I already know what to expect. This is great for developing but i see no point in downloading just to try it out. You'll be disappointed.

Hi,
Can original stock O3D enter Fastboot mode?
I have been asking this question here and there, and I still have not got an answer yet. I got a totally unmodified O3D and I want to issue the fastboot commands. My idea is, use the command "fastboot boot boot.img" to load a custom recovery on PC to boot up the phone, thus we can backup both the original rom and also the stock recovery (and probably the bootloader also). If this idea works, it will benefit many users.
Thanks for every input!

it is possible but there are alreadz backups of stock gb bootloader in mz post downgrade the undowngradable phones there is a link to a zip which contains the first 4 partitions on the o3d (the bootloader too).
P.S all original LG KDZ firmware files are with the stock rom(system partition) and the stock recovery.
P.P.S There are tools to konvert the kdz files into a bin file which can be extracted with another tool

I think you should mean this of your thread and the bootloaderstuff.rar. The 4 partitions should be:
x-loader - mmcblk0p1
nv1 - mmcblk0p2
nv3 - mmcblk0p3
u-boot - mmcblk0p4
As far as I studied, I know in our Androids there are the bootloader, recovery, and the rom (OS). Am I got it incorrectly? Or would you please give a brief explanation about those 4 partitions?

That is another question that I want to ask. What is actually in those KDZ files? Does it contains everything stock, so flashing the KDZ will let us return 100% stock? Or just rom + recovery, so the bootloader (and might be something else) is missing?
Thanks again!
midnite_
Kdz have bin/fls which are system and base and including stock recovery and yes flashing a kdz or bin will make your device 100 % new
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
With wkparks omap tool you can go into fast boot mode. The most kdz files are containing boot partition recovery partition recovery partition and a few not interesting partitions. But there is one kdz file for the su760 which is the Korean version of the p920 which also contains the bootloader.

thanks alphatia for confirming that flashing KDZ will make our phone 100% stock.
thanks berni for helping me so much so far.
I have just followed these steps and finally successfully boot into fastboot mode - I could issue the fastboot commands without any problems. That guide is actually based on wkpart's thread (more detailed though) so I really dont know why I was failing for thousands times beforehand ... Anyway, I am there finally
So we could continue with the story - try loading a custom recovery from PC and backup everything stock. I will work on it a while later. I will definitely write up a guide if I have succeeded on it!!
cheers,

No, i dont think that is his problem. Bernies files are for those who have been on ics. He obviously has not.
You should instead flash another baseband. I know ricardo says it isnt baseband related but it is. My cm10 was fine on 21a baseband and then i flashed 21e and the phone got no signal and rebooted all the time.
Try to flash baseband 18a.fls as that seems to work for most of us with lg flashtool
That is not true. There are a lot of us who have never been to ics and still had to flash bernie's files. After flashing bernie's files you can use any baseband. (I'm using v21e).
So just flash bernies files and you're good to go.

Just a question, , what is the diffrence between berni's files and rebooter files ??(in the resurrection guide) . I used bernis's files to downgrade and rebooter files to downgrade . They are the loaders and I'm sure they are the same ,, but rebooter is much easier and the files within it .

First I got 21a flashed on my phone.
I flashed cm10 and gapps.
Then my friend told me about wkpark's tool.
I googled it and downloaded, then when that tool asks fastboot device? I chose N and replaced the two image to my phone.
What happened now is, once I turn my phone on it shows up a LG logo with a little word 'fastboot v0.5' on top, my phone do nothing now.
Could someone provide help? Million thanks!
