[Q] syncing with phone mms.apk - Asus Transformer TF700

While browsing through the system apks available on my TF700T I saw a MMS.apk and being a heavy user of texting from the internet using apps such as textfree, pinger, etc I was thinking how easier it could be if I am using my tablet and I receive a message on my phone that I can reply from the tablet within textfree or pinger and have it shown as a normal conversation with both my sender and me.
Because there is no app that syncs the actually MMS.apk on the phone with the MMS.apk on the tablet the conversation is shown one sided on the tablet without the senders text. Essentially I want a method/app to have my messages in the native mms app on the phone transfer to the tablet every time I get a new sms/mms.

[Q] Message app

Hello all, this may be a basic android question but i am new to andriod (HTC Thunderbolt, unrooted). The messaging app has three tabs: All Messages, SMS/MMS, and Voicemail. I'm assuming the All Messages tab should show not just SMS/MMS but also emails at the very least but all I get there is SMS/MMS. I have had the Mail app set up and working, and also the Gmail app. Also I have FB and Twitter for HTC Sense both set up (not sure if those post should show up there or not. Is there a setting I'm missing or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the Messages app? Trying to use the full functionality of the Thunderbolt. Thanks for your advice.
The all messages folder is supposed to show sms/mms as well as push messages and visual voicemail messages however I have yet to figure out how to get push messages or what services uses these

Only via some sort of software-based SMS bridge. The device itself has no phone # associated with it and thus can't interface directly with the US phone system. I prefer and reccomend Google Voice since its free and the app is decent. There are many other apps that can also do this job.

You can send and receive SMS with google voice.
Get a GV number, and load google's client.
You can recieve and send directly with the client. The web interface lets you configure gv to forward messages to other sms numbers and/or to email accounts. if you reply to an sms from the email account it will bridge back to the original senders SMS.
My only issue is that when I forward gv sms to phone sms and I reply from the phone, the messages come from the phone instead of bridging back through gv....if of reply from the gv client it is fine.
...this is an excellent solution for wifi only tablets.

Use Tablet talk and sync with bluetooth for both devices. It will allow you to text using your tablet only.
Desksms is going to release a native tablet app too

How can I disable SMS alert?

Hello,
I have been using (and loving) the app DeskSMS. It allows you to receive and send SMS via gtalk, gmail, etc.
The only problem is that on my VZW GS3 (rooted and running newest AOKP) I constantly get a warning that DeskSMS is sending an abnormal amount of txt messages and do I want to allow or deny these actions.
I do not want this to happen. I want DeskSMS to send as many sms as I like. I am typing fast replies on Gtalk in chrome and I guess it thinks that the messages are going to fast to legit.
Is there a way to disable it altogether?
I searched but I did not find a clear answer relating to Gs3.
Thank you

Multi Client Messenger?

I hate the iphone (well all apple products really) but the one thing it did right was the iMessenger.
So I have been looking for a 3rd party messenger app that will do a few things that the stock android messengers wont do.
Main featute would be MMS over wifi
Also delivery and read report system
Ability to start and LEAVE group messages. The stock has no way of leaving group messages and I ended up having to block 19 numbers one time.
But most importantly I am looking for an app that will take advantage of these features when the recipient has the same app... but if the recipient does not have the same app it will default to standard. Kinda like imessenger does.
For example
Conversation with person A using the same app
I will recieve delivery and read reports. A typing icon when they reply. And I can send that person images over wifi
Conversation with person B using stock app will still send sms as normal but no read or delivery.. no typing icon.. and mms will default back to network.
Basically I have found apps that do what I want such as WhatsApp for example.. but I can only message people who havw the same app. The biggest problem I run intonwith 3rd party apps os getting everyone to switch over. No kne wants to swap over of they are comfortable with their current app.. I wamt to be able to text those who dont want to switch as well as those who do switch.

Messages App

Hey guys,
I know this might be an odd question but when I send images via Messages app, I cannot send the full size image via messaging. Is there a way to stop the compression feature?

I believe that the stock messages app uses MMS and the size are controlled by your carrier. the standard messaging app does not work like iMessage or other 3:rd party texts apps that use "internet" to send messages.
If im not totally off on my information most normal sms/mms have a locked size in kb of how big they can be.
So if you wanna send full size images I would suggest that you and the person you wanna send pics to use a 3:rd party app like Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Google Allo etc. they work Cross OSes, Windows, Android, MacOS, iOS.
Just got this phone a few days ago. First Samsung phone. I found the app would crash after sending mms messages. I finally just loaded Android Messages. Too bad. I hate having redundant apps.
