My g2x is GB rooted and it keeps freezing! for example I play any games on it and it freezes or i get mulitple txt and it freezes. also any type of browser that I use( dolphin, maxthon, fast, chrome, etc) the will work for a while but it also freezes or if i go to any website like facebook or even google it takes a great while for it to load up! I have full bars and excellent 4G. I should mention that I have the app setcpu almost at max speed thinking the phone wont freeze but it still does.... any suggestion to make the phone not freeze and faster web load like in the past ? thank you for your time

Are you undervolting with set CPU? That could be the culprit. Set everything back to stock and see if the problem persists

no, I think he meant for you to set the cpu run at stock speed and then see if you still have the same problem.

Are you using any apps like setcpu, pimpmycpu, antutu? If not, you are already on stock voltage.
If you are familiar with flashing, flash others GB roms from the dev area. See if it still crashes.

im using the app setcpu because before my phone started to freeze after installing setcpu my phone was working great for a long time until now recently that my phone has started to freeze so much. So i must flash with another rom ? or should i unistall setcpu?

It could be that you need to do a factory reset on your phone and start fresh, that could probably fix your freezing problem.
Also you might also want to look into updating your phone to LG's official 2.3.4 ROM, it is much more stable than the 2.3.3 ROM that your on.

to start i have the stock rom and rooted
well i installed the 1.5 kernel and all was well and everything was smooth. so i decided to install the 1.8 kernel and it was good for a a day and then today my phone has been really lagging in some aspects like going through my home screens(i have launcher pro) and at times when im in settings or something and i tap the home button it goes to a black screen and says launcher pro is having problems. so i took that off and went back to sense and that was also lagging when swiping through homescreens and opening the app drawer, and that never happened before. im running it at 1209 max and 806min most of the time .
so my question is: if i want the 1.5ghz kernel can i just flash that back over the 1.8ghz without doing a full restore? would there be any problems? any other suggestions?
thanks

the problem is that my phone never works above 715 over clock and always either reboots or hangs.i have tried this with all roms(creeds,fitdroid,cm7.1,cm7.2,even cm9) but everytime same thing happens.
sometimes it works for a while and then hangs.
pls help cause everyone else have their running at 763 without any problem.is this hardware damage or something else?????
i have used squadzone kernel and one optimized by vish for fitdroid.
Ok follow this steps first download a stock rom wihich has all 4 files then flash it. Remember don't flash with one package option. Then flash recovery after that flash the music edition rom after that use the squadzone kernal and you will be able to use it flawlessly

check if there are any background app runnings(for e.g facebook app) which is continuously using the processor (and that too at 715 continuously. if there are then that could be one of the reasons. I experienced it, i stopped those apps and then it was fine.

and only set clock speed to max when you need processor hungry task like games

I've gone so far as to completely wipe the 'sdcard' and start from scratch. Running 'lsmod' in terminal shows that the module is loaded, and the max speed I select shows under cpu in venom tweaks. This is driving me nuts! What can I do to troubleshoot?
When you flashed elemental, what did you set as your max CPU speed?
What program are you using to check / set CPU speed?

I've tried 1728, 1809, & 1890. I even tried speeds lower than stock, and it still runs at factory speeds, so I'm thinking something is wrong with the oc module, but I don't know his to check. I tried using the app built into viper, setcpu, and kernel tuner. I thought they may be conflicting, and that's why I wiped and started fresh.

I can't get my max to stick at 1.7ghz. When I try to it'll go back to 1.5 and even 1.1 at times. How can I get it to stick?
On Vengeance V3 ROM w/ LK 1.8, I've checked terminal and I have a 'fast' CPU.

Hmm....That I'm not sure of. I'll go and check and get back w/ yall as soon as I can!
Ok, so i checked the int folder and it does have "00leanKernel" inside says:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
VMIN=0
echo $VMIN > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/override_vmin
As for busybox....I"m not sure if that is on this ROM or not. If not should I install it? I found a BusyBox app on the play store that says its supposed to install busy box. Jus don't wanna mess up anything lol.

Maybe the kernel still hasn't settled yet? I've had it installed for the last several days.

Aight, which kernel app are you using? It should only act somewhat iffy for about ten minutes after the initial kernel flash not a couple days. Also, is the phone hot while you're trying to adjust the OC?

I'm using SetCPU. Min set to 384. Right I would've thought it would've settled by now. Generally really w/ most kernels I've installed they've all had a tendency to jump up in heat kinda quickly. So yes it does generally get hot even while adjusting OC.
Yea, maintaining OC can be somewhat tricky depending on the heat produced. Does this continue to occur when you select "set at boot" option for the CPU?

Mass storage doesn't work on our 4.2.2 Roms atm. The reboots tend to be caused by the massive change to the cm kernel which will get cleared up soon enough. Personally I'm not running into them though.
