i guess it doesnt matter for you right, you will get the buy back policy no matter what working at bestbuy mobile right??

yea i have an upgrade coming up around that time as well. but till then i am GOING to use my buy back if i can....then upgrade to the quad when it is released.....after reading our posts, i am officially a PHONE JUNKY.
i want them ALL!!!!

I'm still within my 30 day buyer's remorse period, but I don't think I care about an HD display enough to go back to my crummy old Motorola for a couple months.
When shopping for my phone I tried out a couple with HD displays, and I realized that kind of pixel density is kind of wasted on me. I can see the difference if I really squint, but I just don't care. I'd almost rather have the added gaming performance that comes with a lower res display.
Plus, there's going to be some Tegra 3 phone that I really want 3 months after that, and something even more awesome 2 months after that. The life of an Android owner is to get the very latest and greatest when you get your phone, and to have it stay the latest and greatest for about a week.

but it has a better display and is bigger.....even if just by .15 inches.

That's awesome. But like some of you guys I'm gonna hang onto my skyrocket. My lovely wife is going to give me her upgrade in November as long as she gets my skyrocket. Thanks babe.

It's so good to be home.

I took a brief trip to iPhone land back in January when my excellent Inspire got dropped and destroyed. HUGE mistake. Man did I miss android. So anyhow, I'm back y'all.

I got my One X today man this thing is nice.

I was an Inspire owner too and I remember you used to rule that forum. I am shocked that you left for iPhone! I moved onto the Galaxy Nexus when it came out and sold off the Inspire. I had an upgrade available now so there is no way I could pass this phone up... I love the phone but do miss the stock feeling of Android 4.0 so now all I really need is Root and CM9!

I remember you from the Inspire forums. I switched to the Note then the Nexus, now I can upgrade and I may get the One X. Good to see people attempting iPhone and regretting it, so I don't have to. The reason I'm maybe thinking of the One X is the camera, I'm going on holiday and don't want to be stuck taking GNex quality shots along the coast of Italy lol.

I'm pissed I have 1 line I can open or I can early upgrade to iPhone 4s my inspire is nice but I really want this phone so bestbuy will give me 300 for inspire then one x will be at the store on Friday can't wait! So dumb the phone is out on display but the won't have a shipment till freaking Friday djckgdskfvxc how is the GPS on one x? I hate my inspires GPS with a passion!

Just left my international GSII for this bad boy. (The GSII was the best phone ever btw). Freaking loving the screen and the sick build quality. It's so much better than Samsung's crap plastic

I too took a detour through some Sammys (The other phone at home is always iP - a conscious decision that works well ), Great to be back to HTC.
SGS2 was great for that generation, but LTE/batt life sucked and was a bit clunky (I have large hands), so wasted no time in getting my H1X.

The GPS is why I ditched my Inspire. I do a lot of things that use the GPS (mapping / running / cycling). That GPS would not stay locked and would turn a 5 mile run into a 15 mile run with all of the zig zags it would add to my course. Great for the Ego, but a pain in the A$$ otherwise.
To Answer your question the HOX is lightning fast to lock and stays locked pretty well from what I can tell. I have not used it with a gps app other than google maps yet but I am happy with what i have seen so far.

it has a small crack on the screen (and ive watched other cracked ones that have been going for around $150)
which would be sweet cuz it would cover the cost of my one x

the screen not only looks, but feels much nicer to me

I'm picking up my one x on Sunday. They were out of the white one so I waited for it. Yea its a nice phone. I started out with an HTC phone so I've always been partial to the smoothness of sense. Never really liked touchwiz much.
Much smoother than touchwiz huh? Transitions are super smooth. Almost like iPhone smooth.

yeah i really am surprised with how fast it is, especially considering its stock.
some people call it a lagless experience, i would say its close to it.
cant wait till we get rom's going, considering its already incredible.

My beloved Rocket had to be laid to rest today. Time to move on and in saying so this has been my favorite experiece since joining XDA and I value this communities opinion. What should I get next? I am on ATT. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated. I have to go for now my wife is about to play the Bagpipes over Rocket. Thanks feller.

I'm just waiting for AT&T to announce the Skyrocket-equivalent for the S3 so I can hear the roar as hundreds of thousands of people realize they spent $600 on the base version, and the sport model came out six months later.
I'm steering clear of the S3 entirely. Too much of a risk that AT&T announces the S3 "Skyrocket 2" or whatever within a couple of months.

I would just wait till the years end to decide on your new phone. Because there's going to b always something new coming out. But like allot of att customers are going to wait for the Note 2! I've had the S3 already tested it out and it was good. But my skyrocket was faster at some things! But the S3 cameras are Excellent! That's the best thing about the phone, oh& the screen! Everything else my skyrocket will do fine.
Now rushing out to pick up the S3 because you think Sammy is going to get sued, and the phone's would b banned. That's injunction will not go into affect until next year. Plus they have to go thru appeals court. Besides this suing crap will never END between Crapple& Sammy..

Am just curious... How did you manage to kill your friend in less than a year?

At least tthey held out for a little longer ...but why do they make this change? I'm not too disappointed ...they have better customer service at least

Hmmm... glad I won't fall under this policy since I'm considering getting rid of my One X if there's no progress on rooting soon =/

Not familiar with return policies with the American carriers. Thought it was useful info for you guys as the 2.20 firmware seems to be testing the loyalty of some users.

Well it doesn't surprise me really. I moved back to AT&T two months ago after a long long absence and was surprised that they had a 30 day period. I actually started with an Atrix HD, found out there was no root so pawned it off on the gf so I could grab a One X. Thought I could root it but didn't realize I would get stuck with the 2.2 update so I'm with everyone else waiting for root.
Trying like all he** to find a way to root it myself but don't have a whole lot of free time to devote to it so I do what I can when I can. Still happy with the phone and with moving back to AT&T thoiugh and I know root will come eventually.
