its a fault in your device .i had the same problem earlier. Just send it back to the service center for repair.
Enter your hboot.
Give us the details of your phone you see there, unlock/lock , s-on/s-off and your hboot version.
Am on my phone now but if you use the search button you could probably find the solution to your phone quicker.

Ok i could be wrong, but,
1 u sent your phone to repair and they guy installed a custom rom on it
2a you tried to install the official ics, do u mean the ruu or one of the custom rom in the dev section(please post the link)
2b when u say always rebooting, does it mean the phone boots properly, then after a few minutes or after playing a game it roboots again
or is stuck at htc logo/black screen/triangles.
Not sure a ruu install gone bad or u just didnt flash the boot.img

You can read more in Step 4 link
Your phone should boot properly. No reason why after doing the step 4 properly u should encounter any problem(unless bad download, check md5)
If you indeed flash boot.img can u post here the result?

..... It says that on every One X, it's HTC telling whoever turns the phone on that you used HTCDev.com
Make Sure you have TWRP (recovery) flashed/installed ... then in the bootloader go into recovery and flash cm10 ... and since you probably have the newer hboot 1.14 that means that you HAVE to flash the kernel (boot.img) via fastboot
Which is simple,
flash cm10
then reboot into the bootloader > fastboot
extract the boot.img from the cm10.zip
and fastboot flash boot boot.img
then your done reboot and enjoy.... (anything else read threw the forum, all your answers have been asked by somebody else already)
On rogers he won't have the 1.14 hboot, which means all he has to do is install the rom.
Try flashing the recovery again (TWRP ONLY!)
And then reinstall CM10

That might be your problem. CWM isn't supported for this phone and has been known to corrupt data.
Links for all the files you need are in a sticky in the Development forum. Here's the link for TWRP:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677447
Once you've got that, you can wipe your phone inside TWRP (don't do it in bootloader--you'll have to reformat your sd card), and reflash CM10.

You can't use Goomanager if the phone doesn't boot. You need to push it over to your phone using adb, then you can flash it from recovery.

Read up, get adb working. Then you can install TWRP using adb.
So first i need to get adb working , then install TWRP to wipe my phone? To access that i flash TWRP and go into recovery right ?
EDIT: So .. i've downloaded that adb , and i got a bunch of files.. what do i do with this? I put them into my fastboot folder in my C drive.. Also i need to unlock my phone to do this right ? Cause i accidently relocked it .
EDIT: OKAY i rooted my phone , and got into TWRP , tried a factory rest under the wipe menu. http://i48.tinypic.com/13yklep.jpg It says fails.. what do i do ?
Go to mount usb storage (not sure which screen its on) while it's plugged into your computer
If windows says the card is corrupted, format it fat32, then copy over a rom onto your sd card

After all that, lol. At least he had the sense to stop and ask.
Hi, everything messed up from using the stupid TWRP 2.6.0.0 .... I was going to flash a custom rom , but it didn't let me, so I did a little research that I need 2.3.3.0 in order to instal any custom rom.So I tried to switch to 2.3.3.0 but it didn't let me... after that I tried to push stock recovery and now i'm stuck at the white HTC Entering Recovery ( pink letters) screen, ( The recovery just doesn't load) ... I just want to finish with this , and go back to my stock htc rom with not roots or anything.. im tired of this seriously.....
When I try to run RUU I get stuck at the Black HTC Letters screen , the the setup stops and says that it will try to repair my phone, sadly with no result every time.. I think that I don't have any OS on my phone right now, because when RUU starts it shows :
Change image version from : ( blank space)
To: ..... bla bla bla , ( the version of the ruu) ...
I have no problems with entering fastboot and unlocking/relocking my Hboot.
Any help about restoringmy phone will be appreciated . Thanks , I'm online all the time so if I get any responses I'll answer quick.
P.S. I can't mount my usb storage from anywhere, and it doesn't show up on my PC when i connect the usb

well I think that it doesn't really matter which RUU I "used" because it doesn't even get me in the process of installing...

Okay, just now I noticed. You used two Different RUUs for two different versions.
The 1st one is for S3/C2 version, the 2nd one is for S4 version.
Use This Thread to download RUU's only for your version (S4 or S3 whichever you have got). In your case, it does matter which RUU you use.
If you need any help further just ask away.
the thing is that the RUU doesn't get to the process of installing , and I have used those RUU's before....
I need some solution the get to a working recovery and instal some kind of OS because the last time I could get in my recovery it said that I don't have any OS installed...

okay you gonna need fastboot for this. What I have been successful with is:
1. Download an RUU (VERSION SPECIFIC!).
2. Go into Bootloader -> Then select FASTBOOT
3. Connect your Phone to PC. It should say Fastboot - USB mode.
4. Run the RUU, it will get you through all the steps.

doesn't work as I've told you , it happens with every RUU ... I get the Black screen with white HTC letters...

Man you're making this difficult. The more I want to help you, the more you become hasty.
RUU doesn't do what you think. It puts New software, updates firmware (hboot, radio, RECOVERY), so yes it is basically a one-stop solution.
Please calm down as panicking won't help.
Tell me your One S version (S3/S4) at least? so that we can move forward in right direction. and also your CID
Tell me what recoveries and RUU you tried. and what errors do you get while you run them.
EDIT: Thanks to @tivofool I forgot to mention that you have to RELOCK your bootloader before running RUU

I flashed TWRP from One_S_All-In-One_Kit_v4.0 but without luck, then i flash the factory stock recovery, still the phone was letting me into any of these two recoveries, then i decided reflash the same TWRP again and it worked,
First I couldn't mount the storage from the recovery , but it was still showing in "My Computer" , I had only one option and it was to Format the Storage. So I did.. then copied this rom with gapps on it ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164406
Fully wiped --> Flash Rom , then Flash Gapps, ---> then I booted in fastboot to boot from CMD the "boot.img" with "fastboot flash boot boot.img" from the Pacman Rom and then I Rebooted the HTC and Done
Huge thanks to @khan.orak

i mean if you're phone bootloader just had unlocked but still S-ON..so you must flashing boot.img too that are extracted from the rom.zip that you already installed..
you pc must already had ADB / SDK...if not..you can download from here.. or minimal adb and fastboot from here..
1. extract the rom.zip that you already installing...and copied boot.img from there to adb / sdk folder on your pc
2. turn on your phone with pressing and hold volume down + power button until inside bootloader...then select FASTBOOT mode..
3. connect your phone to pc via usb...then open cmd and change source to your adb / sdk that fastboot.exe placed folder..then type "fastboot devices" enter (to check first that your phone already connected) if success connected that will be prompt your phone serial number
4. then continued typing "fastboot flash boot boot.img" enter
5. after finish..typing "fastbot reboot" enter
6. done..
all command type without quote
hope this can help..
So i bought this phone ~2 months ago. I had sense 5 on it. 4ext recovery. And i saw, that it was on S-on.
Than i wanted to try out vipers 3.1.4. I downloaded the rom. putted on my sd card, reboted to 4ext recovery, enabled smartflash. than wiped, and installed the rom. it was great until one morning when the touch kept freezing, and i needed to lock the screen and turn it back on to work.
Today i will install sense 5 again and doing the same thing that i did with 3.1.4.Am i doing something wrong?
And i need to do what are u saying after rom instalation or ? On my pc there isn't adb/sdk.
Sorry but i'm new to android. I was an iphone user.

my guide in the previously post..just if you using another custom recovery like TWRP or CWM and already forget it to flashing boot.img manually form fastboot
so..this you're already do the right step...just try installing ViperS 5.0 again from 4ext recovery..then..your phone will back to normal again..:good:
Thank You! :good:
When i get home i will install sense 5 and hopefully my phone will be back to normal!

radio 0.16.31501s
Please any help would be appreciated.
Are you sure that you flashed the right version? Cyanogenmod official is only for ville (S4) version. Are you sure that you didnt flash ville version on villec2 or opposite?

no i didnt update the kernel. is it important to update the kernel? and if so how can i do this? i did the wipes
Of course you must update the kernel. Extract boot.img from the ZIP and put it in your folder with adb.exe fastboot.exe etc. (On the computer) then restart the phone into fastboot mode (volume down + power and choose fastboot), shift right click in the folder on PC and choose open command prompt here. Now type here "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and wait till the operation is done. Then reboot and enjoy

you mean to extract the zip file of the rom i flashed and flash the boot.img of that rom via fastboot?i thought that its not necessary if you have flashed twrp 2.6.3.0. recovery
Yes! Its necessary if you're S-ON

If you're S-ON:
On windows 7, 8 click on ROM.zip. You will see "boot.img". Drag it with mouse on ather folder.
After you wipe everything, except SD CARD, instal rom.
After instal, reboot bootloader. Plug the cable. On phone screen you will have "Fastboot USB"
Open comand promt: ""fastboot flash boot boot.img".
On S-ON phone never work without this.

Sorry, blind in the last times
However you could still try to do that... Or maybe the download is corrupted, did you check the MD5 checksum? That could be also the problem.

ok no prob. I tried that with no luck . im tring to flash a rom that i have already flashed to another htc one s so i dont think that this rom is corrupted. i can flash the rom through recovery and gapps and when the phone reboots nothing happen but keep looping... the only rom i can flash is cm 10. do i have to update radio or kernel or something other to my phone??
Sorry for my previous answer.
Flash a new recovery image. Latest is 2.7.0.8.

I finally gave the phone to a friend with cm 10.0 without trying something else. Thanks all for replies!!!
Hi,
I'm having problems with my HTC one SV. it powers on then it will show "htc quietly brilliance logo" and after that it shows black screen then stuck on it. i had this problem before so I remove the battery then power it on solves the problem but lately it does not work anymore lets say it's like 1/100 before it goes thourgh. i really dont know what to do tried searching for solutions just cant get it. I'm kinda newbie on terms so if anyone can help me I'm very thankful.
Thank you in Advance!
Seems like a common problem for many HTC One SV's.
Take a look in the Q&A section, there should be many threads, where i described what to do. As long as it's no US carrier phone, then things are different.
Basically:
- unlock your phone with htcdev.com (all data is lost)
- flash TWRP recovery with fastboot
- flash a rom for your model

my phone is from middle east. i assume that its all in htcdev.com? like step by step on what to do? honestly i really don't know how to flash TWRP, flash a rom and etc. I'm just having a hard time learning maybe because it's 1st time for to do it plus I'm not yet familiar with it.
You needto learn, how to use fastboot cmd, otherwise i guess your phone is lost.
But its not so hard, if you can use a computer
At htcdev you can get the basic fastboot files you need.
Try to read and follow the unlock guide, then we see how far we come.

This dll should be in the package that you have downloaded from htcdev.

Hi,
I managed to unlock my phone , TWRP and all that. i also downloaded your "[ROM]Stock odexed Android 4.2.2 Sense 5 " for k2_ul. i followed your instruction on how to install by the way mine is S-on so flash with fastboot (fastboot flash boot boot.img) am I correct? i see some okay it was kinda fast so i feel weird i thought the installing will take a minute or so because its almost 1gig file download. anyway the only thing i did not do is this part "Don't forget to flash Superuser file (look into my index thread) if you want root!" actually i really dont know what you mean by that sorry. my phone still not yet booting still stuck at blackscreen.
UPDATE** phone is just restarting over over again from htc quietly brilliant >> power off >> htc quietly brilliant >> power off.

Why install an odex 4.2.2 Rom when your 4.2.2 Rom is odex by stock?

sorry it took me weeks before i reply. anyway i did wipe the phone. are there any like reset command while on fast boot or something so that i can start from the beginning? actually im a bit lost.
Boot to recovery -> Wipe menu -> Advanced Wipe and wipe System, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Then go to Install and flash the rom for your model.
Then boot to fastboot and flash the boot.img of the rom with fastboot cmd fastboot flash boot boot.img
If that does not bring your phone back to life, something else is wrong.
