This ROM is a combination of all Super ROMs Available
Paranoid + Aokp + Cyanogen = PACman
ROMs are compiled from source for Xperia Ray which is a msm7x30 device and is ported to Doubleshot [Mytouch 4g Slide] . This is a minimal port but with a lot of work done. It is still based on AOSP+CM source codes. The ROM packs all the tweaks from the three super ROMs into one.

Code:
First of all I dont own Desire HD, I port ROMs to Desire S. But Since lack of choices
for AOSP based ROMs on Desire HD and some requests, I decided to port it.
Previously I got it tested from magic1977, he reported Wifi and Network not
working. I have made a possible fix for that. You are the one who is going to
test and report bugs. Please help yourself and your fellow mates. However
I am always there to help you out as far as possible.
Again a big thanks to Randomblame for the Kernel and few libs from his Jellytime ROM.

ADDITIONAL UI CHANGE FAQs
Global density :
Is the one used by your hardware configuration and all non PAD touched applications. It's the old one that you can change with build.prop, and this one can get you outside of tablet mode - Phone mode. Don't touch it if you dont know what you're doing. This one has nothing to do with PAD or PAL, as it's the one designed by google.
Default SystemUI DPI :
User interface density, can be reflected on statusbar, Recent apps, etc. This one can't get you outside of your current mode.
Default User DPI :
Is the one used when your app is not on pad.prop list, so when you run a new app that it's installed by you, and not on /system/app, it will run at this density. This one cant get you outside your current mode neither.
Some Other Facts :
You can't change framework dialogs (like when you hold power button) density on tab mode yet, don't waste your time (it's limited from 120 to 128 global density so it's not a huge difference)
Keyboard must be on the same global density, for tablet mode (i have not tried phone mode)
Disable Settings>System>Statusbar>Auto Hide statusbar
If you see the dock on launchers in tablet mode, and not the old layout, this is NORMAL, it was ugly before, and now it's preset to phone mode at 240 density. If you want to get the old ugly tablet mode for launchers, go to settings > paranoid > hybrid settings > list apps, select your launcher, put density to 120-140 and put in on tablet mode
I'm not the responsible that some apps, being on phone mode, and setted up to tablet mode looks ugly. Google is. Go blame google!
The message that appears every time that you change DPI or layout mode for any app IS NORMAL, we put in there so changes can be applied, APP IS NOT FORCE CLOSING, we're asking you to force close, please read at least!

Wow, a three-in-one?! This seemed rad to pass up. Running pretty smooth so far. A lot of redundancy in the settings but that's to be expected. The keyboard is the work-around version which is fine for now. I'm loving the AOKP nav bar. Works so well compared to other nav bars that I've tried to use in other roms. You don't have to restart your phone to change it, which is awesome! I can't believe all these settings work together. Well done Matt/Strapped! This is a damn good port and surprisingly free of bugs for a first release

Yeah the settings are doubled up, but this is a power house IMHO. If you want AOKP just disable all Paranoid settings and setup through AOKPs ROM control or vise versa. This AOSP is the best I've seen so far and not because me and matt done it, because its 3 ROMs in one all of which I love...

I tried this method, but still show KB error.
But, my method is:
- using Titanium backup you can freeze/disable android keyboard,
- Install soft keyboard app, such as Swype, touchpal, swiftkey etc,
- Use keyboard app you installed above as default,
- Disable hardware keyboard,
This method will work even after reboot, it's stick nicely, you may try.
Anyway, this is awesome ROM, thaks to you Matt and/or strapped :highfive:

I've tried to install that patch, during install there's message about changing framework. when booting, there is't PACman boot logo, but android stock logo, i've waited 10 minutes and stuck at boot logo, my guess it's NOT working, i am not sure if i have to wait longer.

I understand the skepticism, but it really isn't. If you don't believe me, download, scan with every anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-malware software you have.
What I don't understand is the fact that people on this site will implicitly trust 90% of people, and when someone does a quick post while mobile everyone decides to not trust them.

You must not be very familiar with the way silverlight works. It requires the use off popups to allow a browser to download the file. I looked for a way to do it without popups, but it doesn't work. Indeed, I really based this rom on CM 10 so all their issues will also appear here. .
But the progress will be regular I hope.
If many ppl are interested, I'll keep working on it.
And YES, ot 995 is really targeted for paranoid Android

I will throw any rom I can at this phone, so please continue!
I've never tried PA before, so I'll check out as much as I can. I experienced one bug. When I tried entering Paranoid android settings, it crashed.
This rom is very nice. I can't test it like I would like to though cause the battery won't charge. I guess it's just a bug that needs to be rectified. I will try the next test rom for sure though.
EDIT:
Just flashed back to my backup of iuss's CM10. That fast. So you can get back to ICS, GB guys. Don't sweat it.
Took all of about 5-7 min between posts.
As long as you backup before you flash you'll have no problem at all.
Just reverse the process.
Boot the original recovery by iuss
Wipe data/factory reset
and proceed to restore in the usual manner.
Good luck and happy Droiding!

THAT is strange.. my phone was working quite weel and i was able to change parameters in the PA settings..
did you at least see the submenu of PA settings or not ?
Wiped everything and reflashed PA...
Rebooted...
"Settings" crash immediately when "PA settings" click. No submenu appears.
I have to enable android debug to get battery charging.
Very strange indeed...
Benetnath, do you have an idea how to track/fix 3G data?

To get a logcat:
Download gunnyman's quick adb fastboot primer.(found in a sticky in Android Dev section)
Once downloaded, open cmd prompt in the adb dir. If using win7, hold shift+right click - If you're on Ubuntu CTRL + ALT + T
Type: adb devices - your serial number should show in cmd prompt.
Then type: adb logcat > logcat.txt - this will spawn a .txt file in your adb folder.
Recreate the error while you're running above cmd.
Press Ctrl+C to stop logcat.
Post logcat.txt contents into www.pastebin.com (make sure expire option is on the never option)
FAQ
Q: Why don't I have LTE?
A: If you did a clean flash you will need to turn off data and turn it back on, or wait a bit.
Q: Why cant I send MMS?
A: If MMS doesn't work, try deleting the 2 APNs that are not "ATT LTE"
Q: Wakelocks?
A: Stop using Facebook.. Google Maps causes wakelocks too, but not as badly.
Flashing an OTA update
1. Open GooManager and "Browse Compatible ROMS"
2. tap on "mirGantrophy"
3. Navigate to /evita/miui/aosp
4. Choose the OTA file you want to flash. Flash them in order, IE. flash v1, then v2.
5. Go back to the main menu on GooManager and tap "Flash ROMs"
6. Choose the OTA's you want to flash, You can add multiple ones in queue, but make sure v1 flashes, then v2 flashes. Check the "Wipe Cache/Dalvik" option and tap "Flash"

Lol, like cm10 has hardware keys remapping? IE hold back button for 3 seconds to turn flashlight on. That's what we mean.
I'm gonna keep a close eye on this. I need a stable working phone for work though. Nice to see miui is getting some love for the hoxl. Keep up the good work guys.

I'm really looking forward to the hardware mapping and the 4.2 camera and keyboard. I ignored the warning about 4.2 gapps not working right and installed them anyway. The keyboard and camera seem to be working fine. I'm having problems with the Play Store. I'm assuming it's my fault for using the wrong gapps.
I don't really care for pre-installed system apps, but it's your ROM. So, do what you want.
Other than the things listed in the OP, everything things seems to work smoothly. Good work!

It's about as stable as cm10. Most of the bugs are either on cm10's end or MIUI's end. MIUI is working on releasing v5 to try and fix the bugs on MIUI's end.

Could you flash another gapps and see if the play store works? I'm curious about this. Although, it could be user error.

It was indeed user error. I just got done wiping and starting over. Everything was fine the second time with 4.2 gapps. I'm not sure what I did wrong the first time. Next time I'll try it twice before posting anything.

No biggie, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem with it. I flashed 4.2 gapps yesterday before release and it worked fine.

There has been a lot of disappointing posts all over the forum with people complaining about bugs, while not providing any kind of information for the developers aside from "X doesn't work" or "I get random reboots".
Well, without the proper knowledge, how are we going to fix it? We don't know what kernel you may be running, what version number you're on, or any information that the system spits out to let you know there's an error. So, I decided to start this thread, to hopefully teach newbies how to give us (developers) proper knowledge when complaining about issues.
This thread will have 3 sections, Logcat (App / system debug log.), Dmesg (active kernel output) and last_ksmg (Typically if you get a random reboot or something of that sort {this is the same as dmesg except it gets the info from the last shutdown [like a kernel panic]})
Section 1: Logcat
This log should almost always be included just because it provides more info than just saying something doesn't work. It will essentially tell you which apps are crashing and why and it also gives output of what they're doing. (Your system is running through apps, the dialer, wireless radio's, etc are all ran through apps.) so, if something is general, like a system force close, please just include a logcat.
How to get a logcat:
Well, this is REALLY simple, all you need to do is just get adb up and running (google how to do that, I don't feel like writing a 'how to use adb' tutorial for everyone's phone.) and then type
Code:
adb logcat
then you just right click, select, and paste to the thread. It's really that simple!
Section 2: Dmesg
This is getting into issues such as wifi not working, sleep of death, etc. Basically, things that make us go "OH F***" when we use our devices. Note: You will need adb access for this to work, same as logcat.
What this will do is get us live kernel output so we can know things like "What driver is the kernel loading {or not loading for that matter}" and similar things. This is linux, so kernel output is important if a hardware aspect isn't working right.
How to get a dmesg:
This is simple as well, no matter what operating system you're on (mac, windows, linux) just type
Code:
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt
and then it will have written the output to a .txt file in your current directory. Either paste the contents to the thread, or attach it to your post.
You can also get the dmesg by using terminal emulator. Instead though, you dont type adb shell, you need to also include it to somewhere you will be able to save it. Like /sdcard so, the command goes
Code:
dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
Just get it off your sdcard and get the contents to the developer!
Section 3: last_kmsg
Ok, the last thing is last_kmsg. When android kernels crash, they right to last_kmsg so then you can find out what's going on. This is usually for issues such as random reboots and other various kernel panic symptoms. A kernel panic happens when the kernel tries to do something it can't. It doesn't mean wrong permissions, it could just have errored out on something and died which can cause a few things. Anyway, developers REALLY need this if debugging a kernel because it gives us a viable way to see WHAT it's trying to do instead of trying to guess what it is trying to do
How to get a last_kmsg:
This is super simple and the same on all phones no matter what, what you need is adb up and running (or terminal emulator) and either in adb shell, or terminal emulator just type
Code:
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
or you can do
Code:
adb shell cat /proc/last_kmsg > kmsg.txt
and that will write it to your current working directory from cmd.
Hopefully, this way we developers can have our lives be a little bit easier and you can learn more about android.
I'm glad to have written this and devs, feel free to link to this guide as a "bug reporting FAQ"

Frankistines build was based on Bruce's CM10. Did you also get his latest updates, or you just got where Franks left?
Also I noticed you've included Gapps, I'm not entirely sure, but I believe Google is against that, or something like that. I might be wrong, but you should look into that, just in case.
Anyway, cool to see AOKP back into Sensation, nice work. And if you ever decide to upgrade to JB4.2 AOKP that would be pretty cool.

PAC stands for ParanoidAndroid + AOKP + CyanogenMod. It is mainly a cm10.1 base rom with the PA features and AOKP settings.
I decided to port PAC to our GalaxyTab (7.7 and Plus) after testing it for a few days on my Nexus 7. It has the status bar in Extended Desktop that I want...Although it is harder than I thought, it is done.
Cheers!
You probably need a factory reset (even from my cm10.1 and pa3) to let the AOKP services to work properly.
Do aware of the eMMC brick bug!
Good luck!
7/10/2013
Kernel update. LagFix/Fstrim is working now.

It is quite a while that I haven't update the ROMs. We are having a long holiday which allow me to work on my belove 7.7 again. Stuggling for a few days with cm10.2 on the flu. No luck for 4.3 yet! It just reboot after showing the lock screen...Something wrong with the SystemUI, I supposed.
The least I can do is to upgrade the existing 4.2.x for Tab-Plus. It is the Milestone release of PAC now. I'll try 4.3 again when I'm free...

reset to recovery again.
do factory reset or wipe data
reset and enjoy!

Q: How to set the InCall screen to protrait
A: In 4.2.x, the InCall screen orientation is determined by the calling card which doesn't handle rotation.
Hance remain at 0 degree (Landscape for our tab) all the time.
To set the inCall screen to portriat, you need an external app (eg. Ultimate rotation) to force Contact.apk to portriat.

If you download the file from goo.im, it requires some time to settle. I need to check the md5 many times and upload again until it is correct...
Other locations should be ok.
The other possibility is the boot animation. There is no suitable boot animation for 1024x600. I resize it from the 1280x800. It might not shown but the rom is continue to boot. You better wait a few minutes to see if the desktop appear.
Good luck!

OK, that was a good hint. It might be the orientation setting as the early PA3.
I'll look into it, thanks for your report..:good:
Any screen shots! If they are in the forums I missed it and sorry for asking.

In the first release, the default wall paper mask is oversize for GT-Plus. The upper part of the screen is blackened. I don't have the tab to test so left this bug...
I'm building a fixed version now. Will be uploaded when it is done.. Hoping someone will post you a screenshot then.
Animation of booting still won't appear, but (BIG BUT) ROM working <yehaaa> didn't test much but screenshots, phablet ui working very well.

Good to know that! Thanks!
Need to study the bootanimation again. There is no suitable on for 1024x600... I'll test it on 7.7 first.

Hi,
in this Rom, Lockscreen is "advanced" like CM 10.1 (resizing Widget, octo unlock, custom wallpaper...) ?
Or it's "basic" like AOSPA 3.60 (NO resizing Widget, Only 4x2 Widget, Only Simple Unlock, Custom Wallpaper weird on stretch) ?
Thanks in advance.

i didnt change nothing with lockscreen i can confirm that there is octo unlock, weather widget n for sure u can change wallpaper, so yes in this Rom lockscreen is "advanced".
i installed the latest jun21 ROM , APN issue is still there, com.android.phone process FC's.
I think I manually pushed my backed up /system/etc/apn-conf.xml, I have phone and data working. Still would like to be able to edit APN. I will try to get logcat soon.
Other than this issue, very nice ROM. well done.

Yeah, already reported in my 7.7 thread. I'll release a patch in a few hours. The bootanimation and apn settings will be fixed..
Been using this ROM for 3days now and it has been great! Minus the boot animation, but that's no biggie. Everything runs just fine and seems a little snapper then PA 3.60 by itself. I haven't com across any problems (yet).
Now what's up with this update? My phone settings have not been effective and APN settings are fine.
Sent from my GT-p6200 using XDA Premium HD app
I don't have to face the APN problem even without installing the patch file to, everything seems to work fine.
But the rom cause 2 other problems for me:
- Boot animation (everyone encounters)
- After restarting and jumping into the lockscreen for the first time, it takes too long to load the system UI. I have to turn off the screen and wait for 2-3 minutes then open it again.
hi buddy, do you know why screen can't turn on while call incoming?
