Problems i have with the sensesation

1. Coming from my mytouch 4g running sense 3.0 the sensation is a bit more laggy
2. Data has random dropped out issues
3. Wifi has terrible drops in and out
4. Screen does not seem as durable as my preivous HTC devices had it for 20 hours been babying it and has a scratch
5.battery life is horrible but that is to be expected
I have owned all HTC since g2 and never have I had this many issues thinking of returning it to t-mo and getting my money back any idea's

One more thing I noticed is that the touch screen wants to b lagggy kind of like the hd2 was when it first ran android

What did you take a diamond across the screen? The thing is Gorilla Glass and it's doubtful you were babying the screen and got a scratch.

Working great!
I can say after owning it for only 24 hours so far it is a blast. I haven't had any problems. There was one instance where the data stalled, but it hasn't lagged or reboot, or even heat up since I have had it on. Been running great for me!

My sensation runs great lol glad I didn't get a dud get a replacement and if that don't work maybe u just expecting something that this phone can't give you goodluck but ill send back asap if I was you

It only takes one grain of sand ( quartz ) in your pocket to scratch it. More of an unlucky thing than a failure of the gorilla glass .

None of those problems here.
Wifi calling works great.
I like Sense UI except for a few small things like accuweather db bull****
Browsing is nice and fast.
Trying to figure out how to get the stock car home to install.
My power button is too loose and will sit crooked sometimes. If I can get them to send me a replacement before receiving this one I may change it out.

I think ill take the advice and exchange I'm in a 4g area with full bars and it took like 3 mins to log onto xda. Thank u all for your comments

The data lag that you're referring to is an issue. Exchanging your phone will not resolve it. I found a fix (at least it works for the most part) that I posted in the developer section. As for the other problems you named, I'm not having any of those issues.

Got a Problem with watching divx movies... After a few minutes sound is gone ... This is my second sensation with the same problem can anyone help me?

Yo you saying that is wierd because my first sensation came from Walmart and it had every bug imaginable, got one from tmobile yesterday and its running like Bugati!!! Walmart be running some shady business tactics. $148.88 is in place for a reason. Real talk.

I thought I was the only person that had the crocked power button. Everything else is fine except the speaker rattles when playing music loud and with bass and that's pretty much and it heats up when charging and using it.

I had the exact opposite happen, I'd recommend Walmart over Tmobile. Why would you want to pay the full retail price tax instead of the Walmart price of 148.00? just sayin...

I just exchanged my sensasation For a new one. as soon as it booted up I noticed all of the difference holy crap this phone rocks I was only getting like 1500 on quadrant on my old one but this one is pumping out 2100. thanks for all of the advice I also got a screen protector

I despise walmart but I found humor in what you wrote. So you're saying that Walmart opens the devices and fudges them up, then sends them out "all whack yo"? You don't think it's more likely that it was just a bad device? The real reason why wally world can sell them so cheap is because it's bait to get you inside the store. Once inside, you're likely to do your shopping there and hence Walmart turns a profit. Most of these other retailers sell it at almost cost and make their money on screen protectors, and cases.

First time when UPS was about to deliver myTouch 4G from Tmo, the message on the website appeared after 9pm:
"THE PACKAGE WAS MISSED AT THE UPS FACILITY, UPS WILL DELIVER ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY"
The phone had some defects and a bad screen - I sent it for the exchange.
Today I was about to get the new phone, guess what?
The apartment number is missing or is incorrect. UPS is attempting to obtain this information.

yes it happens all the time you have just never heard of it happening before...

Nothing wrong here. Three replacements sent next day delivery all arrived as scheduled. I live in a house though, so maybe its easier for them to deliver it? It sounds like a ups issue, not a t mobile one...

Mine was just a replacement "withing first 30 days." I guess if this one is defective too, I would not want to play the roulette and will get Sensation.

Update: second mytouch 4g. One little piece of dust underneath the screen. I think I had it.
Where one lint, there will be another right?
I think I will get sensation.

I don't see how this is a problem. The MT4G is a premium product and something like dust under the screen I would consider DOA. This is still a 400 dollar phone buying from tmo

DUST SUCKS. In high light when you are reading or watching something on your phone it is absolutely terrible even if you have a bit of dust

I might be in the same boat as you. On my third warranty replacement in 2 weeks, and I'm getting a seriousl wifi death grip issue. Sucks so bad, because other than that I love this phone. Called T-Mobile and explained the situation to them, and they offered me a G2. wtf.

Agreed.. I have dust under my screen but in no way does it impede viewing the screen. It's something I've experienced with every device I've ever had, and I never cared.

HTC 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty

I just bought an HTC Panache and it came with the bad eMMC and bad screen. WOW the display is noticeably different from my MyTouch4G even when looking straight on.
Anyway, since it is still covered under HTC manu warranty, would I be able to send it in with the request of the new eMMC and the Sony display?
Who should I contact? I sent an e-mail to HTC and they're directing me to some third-party called PCD or something.
Has it worked for you? Should I just call them directly and see if I can talk them into something?

i bought my glacier off craigslist. In rooting with the gfree method, i ended up with a brick that blinks a yellow light (download mode). Tmobile was unable to help me, but i called htc and they took care of it.
I had to pay shipping to them, and i got back the same phone fixed about 2 weeks late i think.
not sure how easy it will be when you have a phone that works but has flaws, my situation was such that the phone was clearly broken, so there was no judgment call by the rep.

The bad emmc is a load of garbage. I have been flashing my phone repeatedly for a whole year now with no problems on the bad emmc.

well i just rooted and backed up my nandroid from my mt4g
everything working perfectly, i couldnt care less about the eMMC anymore, i just wont mess with it and crackflash with the mt4g instead
but the screen.. its a HUGE difference compared to the sony display used on my mt4g

I do believe that there was a bad batch of emmc chips, but I don't think that all of that batch was bad. I think that only a portion of them are doomed to fail.

Broken Sensation Question

Alright, so I got a Sensation from a friend today that has a smashed screen and a broken back from being thrown at the ground. I was wondering if any one knows how to check if the board is still good? It won't vibrate so I'm guessing that means its broken. If the LCD and digitizer aren't attached will the phone even power on? I also tried plugging it into the wall charger and nothing happens. Any advice? Do you guys think its broken? Thanks!

Take it apart and take a good look, that's the best advice I can give. Replace the LCD (if needed) and the digitizer if the board and components look alright.

The screens the difficult part , the housing will only cost you 12 bucks off eBay. Well if you replaced the screen and housing and it looked and worked ok, you could probably get 200 for it on eBay or the forums here. So do the math and see if you'll break even

I'd give it a try, I paid 500 for my sensation its very worth it if you can fix it. Parts are not too expensive. I say go for it! Don't sink too much into it incase it can't be fixed but do give it a try! Man your friend needs anger management if he does this stuff to his devices, haha lol!

Thats what i was going for, I think i am going to try, if it doesnt work, i can most likely get my money back out of it even broken.

I really like the phone, and I really don't want to trash it. When he told me what he did to it I was shocked and thought the are thing. I am going to order some parts this next week and I will post back with findings.

Yeah... any ideas on what I could do? I'm guessing with how hard it was thrown it messed up the main board and its pretty much trash now...

[Q] blocked sensation

Does anyone have any need for a UK blocked sensation,fully working apart from the screen needs replacing/fixing. i tried doing it my self first time fixer of the sensation digitizer and it initially worked but then it went all multicouloured snow on screen,every thing works behind the screen you can hear it dialling etc.
The bloke in my local phone shop said it was when i replaced the digitizer i must have bent one of the foil connectors to the LCD???
Is it worth anything to any devs on here?
