Tbolt creak/click

Does anyone elses tbolt click a little when pushing on the sides of the phone, the edge around the screen? Mine clicks and creaks like its sticking to glue or something but not staying stuck... should i exchange it?

Do you have the extended battery?

no phones stock i just got it yesterday, hasnt been droped bumped anything, and it creaks if i press down on the screen when its laying flat on a desk.

Mine does that right around the volume rocker. I'm not worrying about that or the slight light leak from the bottom. It's not rebooting itself, so I'll see how it goes.

Yes, exchange it!! I just went through that with one. Sometimes it wouldn't do it, like when it was hot and when I tried to replicate the issue in the store I couldn't so they wouldn't give me a new one. Finally I put it back in the box for a day and it started popping again. It was like the screen was loose or something.

My phone creaked with extended battery then i got the extended battery case and creaks went away might have to do with tighten fit

Seems like the tbolt has major software and few hardware issues. I'm glad I got the Mytouch 4G instead.

My Thunderbolt only creaked when I bought the extended case. Exchanged it for another one and it stopped creaking. Three days later it was creaking again. If I put my regular case back on, no creaking! I've learned to put up with it.

Thanks for the input, im going to head into the verizon store when i have time on monday. I can easily replicate it because it does it i would say 90% of the time, and even if i cant replicate the screen part, the edges all around the screen do it constantly. I got a lemon

Wouldn't hurt to show it to them. My thing is just that there seem to be a lot of phones with rebooting issues that I don't think they are exchanging, asking customers to wait for the update that is supposed to fix it...
Just tried mine again and now it isn't clicking...
Maybe make sure your battery cover is properly on all the way around. HTC really could make better battery covers.

Htc Sensation touch screen issues have stopped for the time being.

Okay so I was having all kinds of touch screen issues,with the lock screen and in general the display wasn't recognizing swipes and was constantly opening Widgets and apps on the home screens.So I went to do a warranty exchange and took off my Tpu blue argyle case and after a reboot everything went back to normal so just thought I would post(even though this probably won't help anyone)there is a chance that it might.Please post your responses whether this helps or not and if your phone has been naked all it's life and still having problems.I usually always have my phone naked in a Nexus one pouch as I bought a bunch of them and like the protection they offer.

Thanks for contribution, but this is NOT a fix, trust me. Not for most people anyway.

Your a little to late to the dance my friend. This has been said multiple times over the past 6 weeks. Works for some and not for others. A lot of people also report that after a while, the problems come back whether the case is on or not.

Right on no biggie,that's why in my post I said this most likely wouldn't help anyone I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed a difference and if it came back,and like you said it does so thanks.I just thought it was odd that a case was causing problems,I was also having wifi problems and since I took the case off those too have been resolved so I guess I have to wait and seen if there is a direct correlation or couincidence as I didn't have any issues pre case.

The case is blocking some of the WiFi signal. I know its not much but a piece of rubber is enough to **** up a already weak signal.

I owned 2 sensations and both of them i returned for that same problem.
No matter how many resets or messing around with settings the screen woldnt register my touch after about a week and a half.
Im going for the mytouch 4g slide now and pray it works fine lol

I no longer have the problem after removing bloat ware and putting on a screen protector. Not sure which one fixed the problem. Try both!

Uh? I am in no way bei g hostile at all and am very sorry if my post looked like I was. I was just saying that a lot of people are complaining about weak wifi signal and that a rubber case is thick enough to weaken the signal more. Sorry again man but I really was just giving you some info.
Ask anyone who knows me. If I am bei g hostile, trust me, you'll know it.

Right on,thanks for the apology and I appreciate the info,your right it's common sense and it's just I have read of sooo many people complaining about this phone (death grip,poor wifi,touch screen issues,random reboots)and I hadn't experienced any of them until last week when I bought a case and for the last week I have had problems until today and when I took of the case off presto all MY problems disappeared.Which is odd since my wife has a similar case and has used it since launch and never had any issues.I just normally never use a case with any of my devices and haven't for a few years.

I haven't seen this at all and I use the phone while charging all the time although I don't use the stock charger,I use my Nexus One wall charger due to the sweet length on it.

There's some things I would do if I were you just for precaution.
1. Turn "Tell HTC" off. Its a setting under "About Phone". A lot of people have reported improved touch sensitivity and speed.
2. Take your battery out and keep it out over night.
Those two things seem to be fixing the issues the most.

I encountered the laggy unlock ring problem about 2 weeks after I got the phone. It lasted about a week and then went away. I haven't had any problems for almost a month now. I've never put a case on my phone, but I did disable all HTC syncs and disabled most HTC and Tmobile apps.

So much hope, and all down the toilet

First time when UPS was about to deliver myTouch 4G from Tmo, the message on the website appeared after 9pm:
"THE PACKAGE WAS MISSED AT THE UPS FACILITY, UPS WILL DELIVER ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY"
The phone had some defects and a bad screen - I sent it for the exchange.
Today I was about to get the new phone, guess what?
The apartment number is missing or is incorrect. UPS is attempting to obtain this information.
I am about to explode!

yes it happens all the time you have just never heard of it happening before...

Nothing wrong here. Three replacements sent next day delivery all arrived as scheduled. I live in a house though, so maybe its easier for them to deliver it? It sounds like a ups issue, not a t mobile one...

Mine was just a replacement "withing first 30 days." I guess if this one is defective too, I would not want to play the roulette and will get Sensation.

Update: second mytouch 4g. One little piece of dust underneath the screen. I think I had it.
Where one lint, there will be another right?
I think I will get sensation.

I don't see how this is a problem. The MT4G is a premium product and something like dust under the screen I would consider DOA. This is still a 400 dollar phone buying from tmo

DUST SUCKS. In high light when you are reading or watching something on your phone it is absolutely terrible even if you have a bit of dust

I might be in the same boat as you. On my third warranty replacement in 2 weeks, and I'm getting a seriousl wifi death grip issue. Sucks so bad, because other than that I love this phone. Called T-Mobile and explained the situation to them, and they offered me a G2. wtf.

Agreed.. I have dust under my screen but in no way does it impede viewing the screen. It's something I've experienced with every device I've ever had, and I never cared.

Wifi return or not?

Have a tmous sensation. When i put my hand on the top of phone i can cut wifi off completly!!!! When i type on its side my left hand stops wifi because its really the top. This wouldnt be so bad if it didnt do it while typing. Do you think i should return this phone and get them to give me a new one or will the new one probably do the same thing? If i do get a new one will they know if im rooted with s-off. Do they even care when its a hardware issue that was out the box? Really love this phone besides this one issue. Ive tried to deal with it but find that its bugging me a little more each day.

Join the club buddy. It was a pain at first but I just started holding the phone differently in landscape. It's a big phone so there is space for adjustment.
If you have a direct line of sight to the router however, this won't be a problem at all.
Me personally, i wouldn't waste my time with a replacement.

It is really easy to replace the digitizer screen of a MyTouch 4G, no need to say goodbye !!

I think I got the only"built tough" mytouch lol. been dropped on tile, concrete, wood floors, gravel, thrown around in my car, and gets handled and dropped by my 2 year old son everyday. Maybe I'm lucky?

lol my dad's is ROCK SOLID!! nothing can break it
everything on it is perfect, good screen, good chip, great hardware, very solid build, and of course, ROOTED AND SPORTING VIRTUOUS UNITY!!!

Mine is quite tough too. Iv dropped it a lot. It has been a tough little phone for me I love mine.

I don't blame you for switching to that beast of a phone. I am hoping one day it hits the T-Mobile store and I some how have a cool 300 to throw down on a new contract.

Really? If I went to Verizon looking for the same plan features, I'd have to pay them 139.99 USD a month. I'm only paying T-Mobile 59.99 USD a month, that's less than half. This is why T-Mobile is awesome.

Agreed I pay $74.90 (after tax) unlimited everything (5gb data) if I went to big red I would pay $130 before tax for 450 mins unlimited data and text

With unlimited and 10 gigs of data I pay about $110 a month. I,myself, barley use 350 mins (mainly text). With the double data and 450 it comes out to be $120 for Verizon where I am at. I'll be happy to pay a few bucks more for their network and less dropped calls.

I've had several drops too but its still trucking /me knocks on wood.

I've dropped mine hundreds of times even once while running where it projectiled my genius button right out the phone never to be found in the grass..... And its still running as good as the day I bought it
