now i'm testing the official kernel of O1, but nothing, if i have time i try to change libraries
Good luck to you. Hope a lot of people can benefit from this rom. Optimus net is quite similar to o1 and supposed to be the successor of o1.
Out of curiosity I had downloaded and flashed this rom when you mentioned it in Andy's thread.
There were a little micro lags apart from the bugs you mentioned. I didn't try to change the baseband so I didn't have the GSM as well.
Official launcher seemed to be very good. Slide the block above is also cool. Neocore was almost same i. e 52 and 53 at 600 and 806 mh respectively. Quadrant advanced was 1250.
I didn't have much time to test further. So restored my Nand backup.
BTW, have you tried changing some other libs e.g. there are 3 libs related to camera? Wait for true developers to see and answer your problem.

little micro-lags are caused by opensource libraries (gralloc) that lg uses for render 2D instead of rewrite herself for our device.....Opensource libraries are slowest!!!!
could someone try ripping the launcher and try it on our optimus one in roms like official gingerbread

this looks great, is faster then official 2.3 for LG O1 and the new UI is faster too, please make wi-fi work, this is all I need, pls pls pls
This rom is much faster, fairer and more practical than the official rom 2.3 for Optimus One
Please repair the WIFI and it would be great,
and yet there is a bug in the gallery preview images appear quite small and almost invisible

hey I got a big problem I flashed this rom but when it boots gives me a FC on Lg Setup and i can't open anything except the status bar please help meee
LG repairs the mistakes with this ROM, please fix the issues, please...please
since I am rooted now I might as well put on one of these ROMS right?
Can someone explain them? Do they just change the theme of my phone? The widgets, sounds, etc?
Any benefit to using one over my stock phone.
I think u must use cm7 nightlies. This is not fully stable but faster then other roms. Cm7 have some themes (i am using cm7 ics theme-this is great) and have extra tweaks and options. I think it has only problem drinks the battery.
Sorry for my english
Custom ROMs change the speed/battery life/stability of the device. Most ROMs have a custom theme (I don' know of any O3D ROMs that change the soundset/widgets yet, but you can change the sounds manually).
Most custom roms are de-odexed, so you can flash any custom theme onto them - such as most themes here.
what is a good one that saves battery life? anything better than stock?
what is the most popular ROM for us O3D users right now?
I'm using CM7 nightly for the P925 with the FroYo baseband. It's pretty fast and without any bloatware.
Unfortunately it doesn't have the Real 3D Framework from LG, so you can't play the 3D games. Viewing 3D images is also not working right now, but you can take them with the camera.
Battery life is a little bit better than stock, I think. But it's not such a big difference.

hmm I don't care so much about 3D gallery or camera. The games though might be interesting. the games that come with the phone suck though.
I mainly use my phone for browsing on the internet, text, and watching videos.

so from what I have read cm7 is basically the only good rom and the most popular?
do you think it's better just to unroot my phone and upgrade to gingerbread or whatever the new android is called.
You don't need to unroot if you want to upgrade to GB. I really like ThiaiZ ROMs, you need V21A to use it.

I wouldn't update with the normal LG Updater because you don't know what they might give you. Maybe better to unroot if you still want to do that.
I recommend to flash the version you want to have like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
That answers also what V21A is. You see the different versions in the link.

maybe I will stick with my rooted phone for now. I am still learning so I don't want to unroot and screw anything up on the way.
So cyanagen mod 7 is the best root mod?
What about rooting apps, what can you tell me?
I do like the Thiaiz Rom if you want a GB rom, but I had ghost call issues so I went back to froyo.
CM7 is good but you lose 3d and hdmi unless they fixed the hdmi issue I haven't kept up on it.

If you feel you are a noob, I would recommend non miui or non cm9 roms.

Don't use rom manager to install recovery!!!
Go to development section and check out the stickies.
His phone model is the i727R.
If you're rooted, you can quite easily flash CWM via odin (I use CWM touch). Once you're rooted and have CWM installed, you can install (almost) any of the roms you find in the development section. Instructions for installation are usually included in the development thread.
My two favourite roms at the moment are SkyICS and CM9. I'm currently running SkyICS as I can get a solid three days between charges with moderate usage although I do enjoy the feel of CM9 a bit more.
FYI

I would make the point that it seems, at least in my case and perhaps others, that CWM Touch is required if flashing from GB. I had to do that so...my $0.02, and all.
Edit: That is, if you want to avoid having to do some additional steps like Darside wipe.

Good day all I have a Problem that I can not resolve or I am doing something wrong. I had a Sony Play before and flashing Rom on it was a breeze, but i have got myself a lg Optimus 3D and seem to be difficult. When I am on a rooted gingerbread Rom with cwm touch installed everything is working. My Sim card is working and I have no random shutdowns. I have installed a couple of Roms on my phone and all have the same problem. What I have installed is the Walkman Rom, Miui v5 3.6.7 and Miui v5 3.3.29. All have the same problem . When I did is a factory reset, clear cache and install Rom everything works. When I load up the newly installed Rom I have random reboots and my Sim is not detected. About 5 minutes into using Rom it freezes for about 5 seconds then the screen turns black and to get it back on I have to do a battery pull. I have tried with ICS Rom but get boot loop. Can someone help me with this issue that I am have problems with. Thanks for you time.

OK thanks for the ics tutorial very helpful. But don't mean to sound like a newbie but how can i solve the problem with my installed custom Roms not working?? Or will this work to with customs jellybean Roms . Thanks again for you helpfulness and time.
Chrisdzie
For ICS based ROMs to work you first need to install ICS.That explains the bootloop. Normally you can't jump from GB to an ICS ROM. The guide shows you how to do that. Then you can choose XBSA ROM or whatever working one you like.
I have not used CM based ROMs, as 3D has not been made to work in these (there is no official LG JB for this phone yet). So, I am not sure about the install process for those.

There's no shame of being a newbie everyone was once a newbie before they become masters.
Well before I have installed jellybam v 7.8.0 which is a jellybean based Rom. Loved the options and worked fine, but after a day or two my internal storage became full and phone freezed up and unresponsive. Did research and found out that it was a bug. I installed that through official GB Rom. So I went back, then tried to install miui v5 and then walkman but they have the same shutdown and sim not detected issues. People with those Roms installed don't seem to have those issues. So you can see where I am confused. Thanks
