Hey! So this has caused me quite a headache this morning. Idk if this has already been posted, but just in case, here you go.

Hey guys,
I've been using Sense 4 for a while on my Sensation and tried out a One X and S in a store the other day. I was surprised that when you exit an app there was no transition animation - it just flashed back to the homescreen.
I thought this was a bug with the Sensation ports, but apparently it's here to stay. It may have been fixed in an OTA, but if not, this is how you get full animations:
- Go to the Market (refuse to call it the Play Store...)
- Search for "Developers Tools" by pandadev
- Install the app
- Launch it, click on "Animation Scale"
- Hit "Default"
There, you've got full animations in and out of apps. You have to do it every time you reboot (or at least I haven't found a way to make it stick), but it's better than nothing.
If anyone else was bothered by this, hope this helps
Downloaded the app but I don't see these options anywhere.

ok cool stuff
Currently on AOKP, because... I dunno I wanted to see what r4ins was working with and it's a bit smoother than Paranoid. I have a blanket DPI of 180 with a market that fixes DPI incompatibility so no need to switch back yet.
However I do love Paranoid (great job gs2user) so I remember my settings.
Tablet UI (small) although to be honest the phone styled notification center is better
Status bar 185
Lockscreen 180
Default apps to 185
Calendar and email look the best in Tablet mode. I changed settings back to phone UI.

I thought I'd add my own configuration preferences to this thread. I love this ROM. I've tried going back to other ROMS here and there but everything just seems prehistoric to me with their setups. The fact that this ROM gives you the ability to use the phone like a tablet is awesome. The user interface is perfect for my particular needs / wants. Not to mention the ROM is quick and smooth. Here are some screenshots to illustrate what my setup looks like and what settings I used to get it. Enjoy.

awesome can't wait to see what you got for a setup.
As for me I set everything low to make it all small, haven't done it just yet after the recent flash but I will and send over some screen shots.
I also use hybrid mode for workspace, everything else with Paranoid Settings is as it comes.
This is by far my favorite ROM of all of them out there, I cannot bear to even switch, I've tried lol. Just can't stay away.

I just installed SlimKat and I've noticed some settings missing from what I had before. Does anyone know how I can change the vibration strength or the color of the notification LED?
I would post this under the SlimKat post, but you need a certain number of posts to post in dev forums. I've been crawling this website for a couple of years now, but not had a reason to post.
The Beanstalk 4.4 ROM is what you need. Both options are fully adjustable along with a ton of others. I've tried almost every ROM out there for the G2 and this one has the most options. It still needs some work but it's the best I've seen.

Hi everyone,
I just got my N5 (replacing my N4), rooted, installed Paranoid, and the Franco kernel, and while playing around, noticed there's no Paranoid-related settings under my Settings app!
I've tried wiping the cache partitions, and yes, I'm definitely running Paranoid, not stock. Any ideas on what to try?
Thanks!

There's no need to wipe cache or anything like that. In it's current state, Paranoid Android has no specific "Paranoid Settings" like in the previous Jelly Bean iterations. The team is working on implementing features one by one with different builds. However, you can find certain toggles for features like Peek in Settings>Display, and Hover can be toggled through the Quick Settings. There are other things as well, but I was simply explaining so you'd understand why there's no Paranoid Settings at the time being.
Also, this questions might be better placed with the Paranoid Android thread in the Original Development forum. Unless, of course, you can't post there for the time being.

That's why I gave up on PA. I understand I could use xposed and such but why take things out that actually work(like center clock) and add things that don't even work? Its tiresome but its whatever. Check out liquid smooth. The only one I've been able to run that's nice.

I actually have found PA to be refreshing. They are building off of stock and adding in some great features slowly.
It's not the customizations that makes a great ROM but rather how it all works together.

I searched far and wide in Google, and apktool seems to do the trick; however, there are only tutorials on how to add advance options, like recovery, or screenshot. I am looking for a way to launch apps from the power menu.
The first person to answer my question fully will be reward a $10 Google Play Credit! Thank you in advance!
Shameful bump!

You're asking a very ambiguous question. Are you asking why am I giving money away or why do I need to launch the app from the power menu? If it's the former, I am just giving it away as a incentive and a form of gratitude to those people who like to help out another fellow.
Power menu? Or from a lock screen?

Power menu on the lock screen and anywhere else.
I'm very aware that many custom Roms have an option for this.
There is a section where you can add shortcuts to the power menu, and in the shortcuts you can select an application. I have done this on Liquid Smooth, I'm not sure if its on CyanogenMod but it should be. Just check a few advanced Roms that have power menu mods.
It should have an option to launch an app from the power menu.

As TheArc said, many rom does.
Recommanded to check Slimrom topics > either "[ROM][SlimKat Official][4.4.4] Stable 7.0" or "[ROM] SlimSaberKat-jflte-4.4.4-20140807 [unofficial SlimKat builds] for jflte".
Fast, really stable for daily use and you will find to any shorcut on the power menu.

P.
If you're thinking of launching any app from any screen, you might check out an app called "START!? - Menu-style Drawer" from Uchi Crew...if that's what you're looking for. You can bring it up by sliding up from home button (like launching google now)...atleast it's like that on my phone.

I'm just interested in modifying the existing rom to add a shortcut/app in the power menu. I will see if I can implement what liquid smooth did in the existing rom with ApkTool. If someone already know how to implement something of similar nature in the stock rom, please let me know. I will give you the $10 reward!
Does any rom besides LiquidSmooth have this feature?
I'm sure OmniRom, Carbon. And CyanogenMod has this

I tried multiple roms, and it seems LiquidSmooth and Carbon has this feature.
If someone can completely solve this new question of mine, I am willing to up my reward to $50 Google Play Credit. What I am trying to achieve is to put an option to dial a number to check my balance. I have a sim pin, which locks my sim from intruders. While it is still connected to my carrier, no service can be use without a pin, besides carrier level numbers, like balance and minures, or Emergency Number. On my samsung and sony phone, dialing this number on a sim locked phone works, but Nexus and aosp like roms seem to shows opposite results. From analyzing android source code, it seem it is becuase the dialer checks if the phone is connected to a carrier before dialing. It is really connected to a cell rower, but the sim pin is preventing aosp dialer from dialing out because it thinks there is no service. Is there anyway to trick the aosp dialer to think it is connected to a service, bypass the check, or replace the dialer all together?
I know this is a complicated question, so that is why I am willing to give a $50 to the person who can fully answer my question.
