[Q] LG G2 Stock Settings - AT&T LG G2

I just installed SlimKat and I've noticed some settings missing from what I had before. Does anyone know how I can change the vibration strength or the color of the notification LED?
I would post this under the SlimKat post, but you need a certain number of posts to post in dev forums. I've been crawling this website for a couple of years now, but not had a reason to post.

The Beanstalk 4.4 ROM is what you need. Both options are fully adjustable along with a ton of others. I've tried almost every ROM out there for the G2 and this one has the most options. It still needs some work but it's the best I've seen.

ok cool stuff
Currently on AOKP, because... I dunno I wanted to see what r4ins was working with and it's a bit smoother than Paranoid. I have a blanket DPI of 180 with a market that fixes DPI incompatibility so no need to switch back yet.
However I do love Paranoid (great job gs2user) so I remember my settings.
Tablet UI (small) although to be honest the phone styled notification center is better
Status bar 185
Lockscreen 180
Default apps to 185
Calendar and email look the best in Tablet mode. I changed settings back to phone UI.

I thought I'd add my own configuration preferences to this thread. I love this ROM. I've tried going back to other ROMS here and there but everything just seems prehistoric to me with their setups. The fact that this ROM gives you the ability to use the phone like a tablet is awesome. The user interface is perfect for my particular needs / wants. Not to mention the ROM is quick and smooth. Here are some screenshots to illustrate what my setup looks like and what settings I used to get it. Enjoy.

awesome can't wait to see what you got for a setup.
As for me I set everything low to make it all small, haven't done it just yet after the recent flash but I will and send over some screen shots.
I also use hybrid mode for workspace, everything else with Paranoid Settings is as it comes.
This is by far my favorite ROM of all of them out there, I cannot bear to even switch, I've tried lol. Just can't stay away.

While we will NOT support this, you can flash this over a CM or FatToad installation, after flashing this in, you should wipe clock data, and /data/data/*telephony*/* using adb in recovery.
We will support after a full wipe from another image.
Tried it out today and was very impressed. A few things I noticed were that notifications seemed much louder than the hypnotoad builds (which is an improvement) and I was able to stream over bluetooth with no skips which I have been getting on official cm, hypnotoad, and carbon no matter what I do with the cpu, mpdecision, etc.
The downside is the performance seemed to come at the expense of battery. The phone became extremely hot and destroyed the battery, draining a full one in about two hours. The cpu seems to rarely idle, it was clocked at the maximum for 93% of the time even with screen off.
I will play with it more to see if maybe its a bad app or something messing with it but I'm very encouraged. Omnirom features and layout is awesome.
Thanks to everyone.
Seems like Gmail sync was out of control. Cleared app cache and data and things seem much cooler now.

Good that you figured out the problem, as I can assure you that it was not OmniToad causing that. We've been running with it for a few days now, and our tests have shown that idle battery usage is as much as 4 times more efficient than FatToad.
What's the difference between OmniToad and FatToad?
OmniToad is based on Omnirom. -- http://omnirom.org/
FatToad is based on CyanogenMod. -- http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
TeamApexQ is proud to release OmniToad-4.4.2_0002

What's new in this version:
Fixed keyboard backlights.
Enabled ssh applications
Highly recommended: Reinstall gapps/supersu after flashing -- It appears that Omni's script to preserve those is currently broken.
Everything works great no complaints!

This is one bada$$$ rom Magamo!
The depth of the settings is ridiculous.
Cant believe the direction they've taken with CM/AOSP.
One tiny thing i noticed.
Upon first boot, the homescreen shows the 'X' at top of screen when removing an item from the homescreen. However once rebooted, this 'X' is no longer illustrated.
Tiny, but I'll continue to mention the mundane haha
Still chugging through these settings.
But where to edit the Quick settings tiles?
I see the editable icon at top of Quick settings panel, but other then hiding and rearranging, how to add more options/tiles (screen timeout tile for example.)
Great Rom

It seems they haven't integrated editing the same way as CM. If you hit the pencil icon on that screen, you can tap individuals tiles to disable them (they'll fade into the background). You can also press and hold to reorder tiles. I hope they adopt CM's implementation and also bring back notification toggle controls.
Yep, just want to add some - such as screen timeout. Figured how to disable & reorder.
Thanks anyway man

1 *******
Noticed when in app, and backing up out of the app, the system animation behaviour is to zoom out & fade out of the app.... but for "browser" so far: 'when it's doing this zoom/fade out... the animation goes glitch like a dodgy crt'
*******
2 *******
Also browser related issue. When adding a bookmark "to the homescreen" the shortcut doesn't appear on homescreen.
These 2 browser quirks were not present on fat toad, just fyi.
This one could be related to a similar circumstance, for when usually installing apps from market (cm11/fat toad), the app shortcut would be placed on the homescreen... I can confirm this does not occur on Omni.

No Paranoid settings?

Hi everyone,
I just got my N5 (replacing my N4), rooted, installed Paranoid, and the Franco kernel, and while playing around, noticed there's no Paranoid-related settings under my Settings app!
I've tried wiping the cache partitions, and yes, I'm definitely running Paranoid, not stock. Any ideas on what to try?
Thanks!

There's no need to wipe cache or anything like that. In it's current state, Paranoid Android has no specific "Paranoid Settings" like in the previous Jelly Bean iterations. The team is working on implementing features one by one with different builds. However, you can find certain toggles for features like Peek in Settings>Display, and Hover can be toggled through the Quick Settings. There are other things as well, but I was simply explaining so you'd understand why there's no Paranoid Settings at the time being.
Also, this questions might be better placed with the Paranoid Android thread in the Original Development forum. Unless, of course, you can't post there for the time being.

That's why I gave up on PA. I understand I could use xposed and such but why take things out that actually work(like center clock) and add things that don't even work? Its tiresome but its whatever. Check out liquid smooth. The only one I've been able to run that's nice.

I actually have found PA to be refreshing. They are building off of stock and adding in some great features slowly.
It's not the customizations that makes a great ROM but rather how it all works together.

(Req) since xposed is now useless...

I figured the knowledgeable people here could point me to apps (that require root or not) that do things that xposed used to do but now can't:
•Slide on notification bar for brightness (not an actual slider just able to slide)
•lockscreen app targets
•edit quick toggles in any way shape or form
•edit nav bar height
•change recents button into a menu button and remove three dot menus
•advanced power menu options
any info is appreciated!

I wouldn't say it's useless. The developer has stated if he can find a way to bring it to Lollipop, that he will. Rather it's just unusable for now.

Lollipop just came out.
Its going to take time to get get custom roms and features rolling
Users need to stop with the [Request] threads. You want something bad enough, learn to dev and make it happen. MOD EDITED - BE RESPECTFUL!!!
Most of the things you mentioned have to be a system modification not an app. Check out the lollipop custom ROMs, some of them have a few of the features you desire. It might be a few months to get Xposed working if possible even. You could always revert to 4.4.4 too.

Perhaps you can share the apps you found so far? Im following your thread bro.
Xposed is just so good, it became a must in my phone. I want so many features from it and its modules too
I search for xposed at least 3 times per day and i didnt find any useful information but a reply of rov89 a month ago saying it was going to be hard to merge xposed to lollipop because of new ART runtime. So i find this post very useful as we can share temporary patches until xposed is released for lollipop.
* Intelli3G: Your internet is set to EDGE while phone is locked, but when you unlock it you get 3G/4G (until you lock)
* Lots of gravitybox features:
-change battery icon and clock position in the info bar ( percentage + circle battery!)
-flash activated when you pulse the lockscreen for 3secs (stupid ye but very useful for me)
* Burnt toast: that was so cool (show app icon in toast--> superSU permissions)
*App settings: so i can put safari in immersive mode
Cant remember more at the moment but if you know any app with similar features post them here please
For battery percent:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent
On Lollipop the percentage is visible even with full battery.
You know if Xposed doesn't come back I am kinda okay with it. Towards the end of Kitkat it seemed like any really useful app that came out needed Xposed to run. It was like as if app creators ran straight towards Xposed instead of using different methods. I know for some things you needed to be able to hack further than root allows but I would guess that a few Xposed modules could have achieved the same result through different means. I'm probably wrong though.
As well intentioned as this thread was, it still got almost completely derailed... Shame.
One feature I'm looking forward to is customizing the slides on Lock screen.
Dialer and camera shortcuts are great but I am so spoiled now.

Lollipop Rom Chinese Notification Sounds

So I had been running an earlier Lollipop build (can't remember build number) but fairly certain it was one of the many "stock" ROMs. It had a few Notification sounds whose names were in Chinese/Japanese. Loved the one I was using.
Just updated to Lollipop 5.1 and presto, those notifications are gone. Been searching the interwebs for info on them, and no luck.
So I come to XDA to beg for some help.... Anyone? Anyone at all? Have downloaded a number of the "stock" Lollipop ROMs to check for the magical Chinese/Japanese titled notifications, but no luck.
Little help?

They likely came from elsewhere or were added in by the uploader. Maybe try searching for "notification sounds" in development/original development.
I've had LG G2 notifications sounds downloaded somewhere from xda with names shown in Chinese/Japanese on phone .
