[Q] wifi always turned off automatically and have to on it for the second time - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I am currently using a rom which i like very much. However, there is a problem about the wifi.
Everytime when i turn on the wifi, it will be turned off after a few seconds, automatically. I have to turn it on again. The second time always have no problem in turning it on.
Does anyone know why? My wifi works in other roms without such problem. the problem only exists in this paticular rom. Really wants to find out why instead of switching to another. thanks.

Change Kernel!

On some roms I have to use a WiFi keep alive app but that is more of a sleep issue.

[Q] Losing network when disable wifi!

Hello guys,
I have a question! I have rooted F1PH Rooted, and something weird started to happen. If I want to disable wifi, and use 4G. Once I disable wifi, within seconds, I lose the network, radio bars!!!. I have to restart to get it back!
I tried switching the airplane mode on/off, and didn't do anything! Is that normal, or what is that?!
Not normal. Are you using an old kernel or something? May need to reflash some things. If that doesn't work then restock and take it in.

Thanks kvswim, I actually just got this one, as a replacement! It happens so random. I am not sure how can I show it to them!
I have FP1H rooted, that's it! no roms or any tweaks.
I'm not sure that you have to specifically show them the issue, you can explain it really well and request a CLN. Try restocking (even without root) and see if the problem persists, if it does, you need to take it in and request a CLN (as them reflashing won't help if it hasn't already)

Absolutely not normal. Running stock FP1H Rooted, debloated by me. Never a problem.
Thanks a lot guys. I will keep testing and if it happens again, I am switching it.

Wifi troubles

Hey guys I got this phone couple of days ago. I have noticed wifi sucks on this device. When ever screen is off wifi disconnects. I flashed cm10 but same problem. Is there a fix available?
Using REGPON wifi KeepAlive app from playstore but its draining the battery....
Basically I'm having trouble receiving push notifications
EDIT:I have noticed this does not happen when its on charger without charger when I press power to wake the phone, the notification comes in immediately. No delay at all.

If you go into the Advanced WiFi settings, you can set it to keep wifi on during sleep.
It is on
may be try upgrading to the latest rom?

if you're in the US go for the T-Mobile 0.16 radio. if not try the other one. both should work fine
Unfortuantely that didn't work. I guess there is a hardware defect with my phone. Weird that it only occurs when phone goes in sleep and only affects wifi. A Google search showed that many people are having similar problem with. One x one s and evo 4g lte.

WIFI stuck at "scanning for WIFI networks.."

Hi there,
I have a little problem with my HTC OneS after installing CM.
Everything works fine, but when I'm connected to my home WIFI and I'm leaving my house (or the WIFI idle time is over)
and I come back (or wake up the phone) it stucks with this message in WIFI settings, mobile data works well.
To solve this I have to restart my phone and then it works without any trouble, as long as I'm don't leaving my house.
All other WIFI work without any problem. The curious thing is, with stock ROM (and all notebooks and other mobile phones) it works well.

When it happens, try to turn standby on and off again: at this point wifi connects. Works for me!
A kind of solution

That doesn't work for me. But I have a solution (not the best...) I have to let on the WIFI all the time, than it works, but that's not the best solution, maybe someone knows a better one.

Lol, that's what I suggested, but it didn't work for him. By the way, are you on ICS (like me) or the bug is still there with JB?

CM 10 no data connection

Hi guys
Since a week or two I cant get data connection on my htc one S, even though its turned on. Never had this problem before and it bugs me very much! When i turn the phone on and off i succeed to get the data working but every time when I do restart the Phone turn data on and then turn it off for the first time since boot it wont connect no more when i turn it on. So its able to connect, but only ONE single time after booting Can you think of anything that might have caused this problem?
I am on cyanogenmod 10.0 and just today i got the question popped-out if I wanted to do an update to an experimental version of CM. But since I want a stable & fully working ROM i didn't do that...
Thanks in advance guys!!

I think we're having the same bug
Do the problems you're having seem to to be the same problems in this bug ?
The phone toggles between H+ and 3G, but you cannot connect to any URL, not even Google.com?

Bluetooth won't turn on

Recently i discovered my bluetooth doesn't turn on. It says its turning on but after a minute it turns off again.
Don't know when this started since i never need bluetooth. Not extremely urgent but it would still be nice if this could be fixed.

unfortunately there is rarely a simple fix for problems like this.
i would backup your data, then try a factory reset. if that doesnt help, you will want to look into re-flashing the stock firmware.
I had a feeling there was no simple fix haha. But i will still try them. If the problems still occurs i will come back.
