Nokia N900 is also a power consumer. With kernel-power 51 it's acceptable until you don't play WebOS games. Now it survives a day with moderate use.
"Alcatel-OT993D and ZTE Nova V6500 are also one day without charger" phones.

The fault in this is if you look up the sales of the phone and compare it with the list it shows the phones on that list are there cause of there sales.

A friend o mine Galaxy S3 eats power like crazy, but hell yeah he uses messaging via facebook etc all day long so he is always looking for charger. A bit addicting..

S3 is just taking that much battery when its on stock based options..Turn off Movement(like intelligent reminder, call move) deactivate smart stay and you get way much more battery life

A HTC One X with Tripndroid's rom is flat in couple of hours.
I hope his mod will improve soon.

every HTC phone ever made.

S3 is a power consumer.... a friend of mine has a extra battery pack to save the day....

Personally, my one X lasts to the end of the day with at least 30% left. Running stock uprooted, and use ~30-60 mb of 4g on most days. Maybe its a Rom you were using...?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

I can definitely agree with the HTC Desre HD - my girlfriend has one and the thing is always beeping and complaining about running out of juice. If she wants it to last more than 24hrs she basically can't use it.

samsung galaxy s2 i9100g..finished in 3-4hours!

I do too for my Galaxy Nexus, but there is some great kernels out there to help too, plus the recharge on it is pretty quick so that helps. I just wish charging in the car was faster.

It would be the HTC Sensation if there was Sense 2.1 running on it (I don't like Sense 3.0, only drains battery and causes lags because of too many 3D animations) and with the case design of the DHD.
So it still is the Desire HD
only Phone to beat Sammy S II would be S III or Nexus Prime.

[Q] battery life - Do I have a lemon?

Ok, Ive had my one x for two weeks and its a fantastic phone with absolutely pathetic battery life. So far the battery life is always inferior to my old Atrix (first one).
On a few occasions its been so bad I don't even think its possible that this phone isnt broken. I'm still locked bootloader, no hacked apps, customizations, anything. Stock and a few apps like dropbox and zynga games.
Today was especially pathetic. "Voice calls" was exactly one phone call under 10 minutes long.

Is it this bad for everyone?
That's pretty bad. Looks like you didn't even have the screen on all that much, either.
I'm assuming you're on 1.85? Have you tried a reset?
For comparison, and others' feedback, here's a recent snap of my stats. I'm not too confident my battery is up to snuff either.

Thanks for the reference. Whats your battery life like under very light usage? I think i played scramble with friends twice, and had a 10 minute phone call. Maybe a quick web page or two. On 1.85
I have at&t HTC one x also my battery life is ok I read somewhere that one x phones with the serial number ht24.... And ht23.... May have battery and WiFi issues my phone is a ht24..... Serial number but mine seems to be fine so far I had it for only 3 weeks. But here's some screen shots of my power usages and one is where my brightness setting is at.

Where did you read that HT24s had issues? Mine is an HT24 and it has rock solid wifi and ridiculously good battery life.
@OP- Do a factory reset and and don't install anything and run it for a day or two and see what kind of battery life you get. The important thing to look at is screen on time. If you get from 3-6 hrs screen on time (depending on cell signal, wifi, other factors) than your phone is fine.
I read it on this forum about a week ago someone posted the email conversation they had with HTC but mine is ht24 and it works fine my girlfriend just bought one yesterday and hers is the 25 so I'll be able to see if there is a difference I have noticed one thing about my WiFi it will attempt to connect to secured WiFi signals that I dont have the password to it'll say obtaining ip the say signal lost and keep repeating it till I turn it off

[DISCUSSION] Best phone you have ever owned?

I vote for HTC Desire. For it's massive choice of ROMs. And it's still running great with ICS. :good:
HTC Desire Bravo ftw. Almost 2 years on this device and it still stands up to my expectations.
iPhone 4S
the galaxy note II! it's screen is beautiful and the battery lasts for about two day. at least for me. brilliant buy, at least for me :victory:

Google Nexus One. Thanks to Cyanogenmod the phone always stayed up to date software wise. Even CM10, though not officially supported, is being ported by some nice fellows to my great phone. I already consider upgrading, since the displays and the raw CPU power of newer multi-core phones (other people have) makes me jealous sometimes. But in smart phone timescale, my Nexus One had a long life and served me well.
Samsung Galaxy S3 :fingers-crossed:

Save HTC!

i have started a blog called save-htc.blogspot.com because i think htc is the best phone maker in the world. it was their with android from the start. please post this on the news so that everyone can come and help out with making reviews for htc phones, tracking the htc history and more.
thanks
please post reviews, ideas, and anything you want about htc here.
hopefully people will realize what htc is doing and how great it is.
i know this is not that big of a deal but every little big counts in this world at the moment so...
go here: mod edit
thanks again

How is the s4 a minor update? Its packing a octocore all you consumers is the same. If they came out with a 200mhz phone 1mb ram an sf 3.7inch screen just because it looks pretty you would say its the best phone in the world its just not about looks its about what it packs under the hood like Samsung good luck waiting a year to unlock your boot loader while us Samsung people is running the latest version of android LOL

I don't think you understand what HTC means to smartphones and Xda-developers. HTC was the company that started it all long before Apple came out with the I-phone. I am not sure how old you are but way back in the day around the 2004-2005 era. We used to have these things PDAs (personal digital assistant). Basically it was the first hand held computers. Well HTC came along and reinvented the phone world with something similar to these PDAs. What HTC did was take the idea of a PDA and build it into a phone. On top of that they thought it would be a good Idea to add a data connection to this new "smart" phone that way it had access to the internet. This evolutionary idea of crossing a phone line with a data line in one phone became known as the HTC XDA (x meaning the cross of data and a phone line). There is a reason HTC is highly regarded on xda and that's because HTC started this all. So lets get one thing straight, if it wasn't for HTC this website and smartphones in general wouldn't exist they way we know them now. Better show a little respect lol

[Discussion] What phone do you wish you had?

i have always wanted to tear into a Nexus One or a Nexus S i dont care about teh specs
what about you guys? what phone have you always wanted? old or new it doesn't matter.
I really wish I was repping that Nexus 5 (or 4 2013 apparently) or Note 3. Gotta save your pennies!
Definitly the Galaxy Note 3.
I don't want a phone under 5.5 inches and without pen anymore.
I would love to see the Note 3 with 6.3 inches (like the Mega) cause I really love this size for a display but this didn't happend at all.
So I've to wait for Note 4 or Note 5 or Note 6 (every year 0.2 inches more since the first Note)
I would like to have a Galaxy s4! But it costs too much for me, so I'm going to keep my s2

I would like a phone with great specs and a "small" screen:
Something like a Snapdragon 600 or 800 processor, or A9.
At least 1GB of RAM, the more the better.
At least 8GB, better 16GB of internal storage.
And a screen of 4.3", no more. I think a great resolution is 1280 x 720. I don't think a better resolution (1080p) worths it.
And a metallic cover (no more plastic, please).
In top of that, I'm short on cash, so I need a phone which isn't very expensive.
Impossible, I think.
Good

i wish i had samsung galaxy s2......bcoz dis phn has got plenty of development......
Wish I had a Star Trek communicator but meanwhile, I'll settle for an Android Moto X with
external Memory, 5 inch screen and at least 3 Gig/ram.
I wish I had a nexus 5, or a nexus 4
I would have loved to have owned the Nokia N900. Looking back at it meego didn't really take off, but I would have liked to have tried it for myself.
