[Q] HTC Sensation Fake

I found on youtube a video of a Sensation fake...
It seems to also have Sense!
I wrote already HTC but no reaction...
I hope they can bann this silly company!
Can someone agree that this is fake?

My friend bought a similar fake when he was in Afghanistan. This phone has Sense like interface and poor parameters: 2M camera, 650 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM.

I must say, that's a really good copy of Sense.

I'm confused...why did you feel the need to e-mail HTC...they're a taiwanese company...do you really think they don't know mainland china try to copy everything they make?
besides, the phone looks nice, it probably works better than the sensation as well...ie no sense restarts when going back to the home screen, better battery...duel sim, lol.
I love my sensation but it's hardly perfect.

Looks and seems better than the real thing.

AFAIK is sense open source

This looks nothing like the sensation. The operating system does only if your on stock .but no way is this a sensation copy cat

That is most definitely Sense. As said above, it's a rom from another phone hacked onto low grade hardware. While it's a fake, it is an Android phone.

I want one!!! I wouldn't mind paying $75 for that.

These Chinese companies make phone copies ALL THE TIME, they change the design ever so slightly so that it doesn't violate any laws and add extra features like dual-SIMs, etc...
They make iPhone copies, Android phones, you name it. This is typical.

These Chinese phones are also prone to freezing, battery failures and breaking from the slightest drop. My friend got one while in Hong Kong. At first he was bigging it up, within three months it was in the bin.

I thought this phone was called an HTC Magic, but it appears there is no section for it here. Upon searching myTouch on Google, I get a photo of it.

My question - Is this a myTouch4G? I always called it a Magic.
Anyway, I want to know because I plan to experiment with this phone and install different ROMs etc, see what I can do with it (I've since owned an HTC Desire HD (which has now been lent to my mother, we don't buy separate phones now, she just takes my older ones as you will see why a couple of sentences on )and now a HTC One X) but I need to be sure I don't go off installing ROMs for another phone.. It's served myself, and then my mother (who has been using traditional phones, she's not very "tech-savvy") for near 3 years!
The phone is currently on Android ver 2.2.1.

I think that's a MyTouch 3G. Not 100% but most likely. Look up HTC Magic on the cyanogenmod wiki it'll give you other names of it as well.

That's a magic, all right. On TMobile it was named the MyTouch3G. On Vodaphone, it was the HTC Magic. It's almost 3 years old. You can't put any of todays roms on it. Gingerbread is slow like molasses on that thing. I don't think you can give those away now, but it brings back memories.

Thanks. It's very slow. I only wanted to see what I could do with it, without worrying about bricking it, because if I did, it wouldn't matter.

Actually, it is a htc magic. You can put roms on it and its somewhat slow, but not that slow. I had the Mytouch 3G and in order to flash roms you need to boot into bootloader and see if its PVT Board 32A or 32B. If its 32A you're gonna like the development a lot better. Also you need to know how to change the engineering bootloader I'm sure a sub-forum thread will show you how to do that.

As an ex iPhone user, I hope to God I was never this blind. This video can apply to all products and fans, but it definitely doesn't help the case of the iOS inclined, lol.

Guaranteed you can give any one of those people a GS2 and tell them it's a GS3 and get the same type of responses. Sure it's funny because it's an iPhone but there are stupid android users too. I can point out more than a handful that post on XDA, that's for sure.

Yeah an iPhone user wouldn't know the difference between a GS II and III, but I think that a GS II user would. As an android user I couldn't tell you the difference between an iPhone 4 and 4S just by looking at them. (Okay that last part is a joke, but I do think android users are used to the new model looking different than the current model)

When you say "android users" you are grouping everyone together and it doesn't work that way. Same thing with "iphone users". There are moronic iPhone users and Android users alike, which is the point I was making earlier. I would bet my week's paycheck that the people in Jimmy Kimmel's video were the exception and not the rule when it comes to falling for that prank. Of course they aren't going to show the people who knew it was a 4S because that wouldn't be funny.

I thought I would start this thread about the much anticipated and highly fabled Motorola X phone, and quite possibly being the new Nexus 5 device.

Anyone else find it interesting that X phone has passed through the Fcc for all other US carriers but not T Mobile? I've looked on the T Mobile website and I don't see any kind of Motorola devices at all. I also don't see any mention of T Mobile on the Motorola website. In fact the last couple devices the T Mobile has had for Motorola were released 2 years ago I think it was the Defy and the clique. Anyone here anything about a TMobile variant of the X phone? I wouldn't necessarily be interested in a unlocked version because they usually don't support T Mobile's wifi calling.

New rumors said that Android 5.0 and Motorola X Phone both dropping in October. So far, of course, these are rumors.

I have also heard those same rumors and then I also heard that the Motorola X might very well be the Nexus 5 phone with such amazing specs as Android 5.0 and customizable features such as 4gb of Ram and 128gb of internal storage plus an SD card slot just to name a few. I really do hope these to be true. I will be buying this phone and would really like it to blow away all of the competition, Motorola and Google are due

Has anyone ever noticed the circle around the M in the upper left corner of the screen is different in almost every picture. I don't know if this means something or I'm just crazy?

It could have something to do with those sensors they talked about. How the phone will know if it's in your pocket or in the car and at what speed you are actually traveling.

From what I know about the situation, the HTC One X should be safe.

Htc have the ****test customers service they have already been on watchdog and rated terrible this won't mean anything
Maybe if this was samsung it would mean something unfortunately it ain't

Let's all start harassing them on social networks! Tag HTC in your post along with #updateones hash tag and rant about it..
Let this be the beginning of a revolution..

The amaze 4G got only a SINGLE update even that was for ics sense 3.6 even tho it has much more better hardware specs than most of their newer devices, many patents were signed but they didn't change their mind!! They also cornered amaze 4G with twilink chip set which no other htc phone has so even porting roms wouldn't be successful htc is real assy when it comes to updates so even I signed to give them a hard time good luck one s users hope you'll get the update so we can port broken sense 5 least haha
