F.A.Q:
1. Will this work with any stock or custom ROM?
Yes
2. Can it be used together with GMD GestureControl
Yes, it is separate application.

I am the first beta tester!
You are the number one.
With your programs my note is wonderful!
Thank you big man
Oh my God... this app is amazing!

First question - will this have any conflicts of problems running at the same time as GMD normal?

Would this work with CM10 and Paranoid builds ??
Thanks for this man.:good:

Sounds really cool.
Reckon you can add spen calibration like touchscreen tune?

No conflicts. It is separate application reading different events. I just reused UI and some code, that why they look familiar

No, this is different "layer".

Question1:
Is it possible to turn off default Samsung gestures in settings?
Question2:
I tried to avoid conflicts with default Samsung gestures, but I'm interested to hear suggestions about default gestures that I should add.

Got confirmation that it works on Note2 and Note 10.1 too. I will update calibration values for these devices, so borders are detected properly.

Default Calibration is fine on my T-Mobile Note II - all gestures worked.
I do have one issue - I can't turn off the built in gestures, specifically the one that opens quick command. It's a straight line up, and so the bottom bar and the home gestures don't work well for me. Obviously I just disabled them and made my own for the same actions. Really wish I could turn off my quick command. Might try freezing it in titanium.
I have not had any other conflicts with the built in S-Pen gestures.
Would love it if you integrated this into your other app. I would pay $5 for that in a heart beat. I'm not too sure about buying and running both, especially if I have to configure the launch pads for each.
However, I'll be buying this as soon as it shows up on the play store, and I'll test it with the light version of the other and see how I like it. Really hope I can do a 4-5 finger pinch to close/home. (Stupid Bejeweled only being on the iPad >.< [new version at least.])
Edit: The more I play with it, the more I run into the system gestures recognizing off of other gestures. Any logs or info I can provide lemmie know

Awesome! Works perfect!

Works on cm10 along side the stylus gestures that were recently added. Great work

1. Samsung gestures - I'm new to Note, but looks like there is no way to turn them off in UI. Samsung recognition implementation is quite bad and it triggers gestures with high error threshold (like drawing L would trigger 'Back'). I will see if I can disable them on root level and add an option if possible, however I don't expect to be able to disable Samsung gestures one by one. Probably all or nothing.
2. There is no benefit joining GestureControl and SPen Control - while they look similar they contain different implementation and there would be no benefit from optimization points. I still would need to read from different drivers and parse separate events. There are plenty of reasons to make them separate:
* SPen is just for Note devices, so other GestureControl users don't have to suffer from increased application size or updates that only relate to SPen. On the other hand some Note users might want SPen control only.
* Settings split - in some case "same" setting should have different values for these applications. Applications have different gestures. If you only need SPenControl, you would still need to deal with GestureControl settings, etc.
* They can run both alongside, there is no drawbacks to it.
* In upcoming releases I will expose all actions (including LaunchPads) through shortcuts api, so it will be possible to trigger GestureControl LaunchPad from SPen Control and vice verse.

Everythings work on pa cm10 utacka. I like it.

will test this when i get home
but thinking something like this would be helpful when playing videos full screen - right and left for fast foreward/rewind, up/down for volume up and down, diagonal for brightness
another thought is for first person shooter games
and finally a gesture to toggle it on and standby

Thanks. I developed on 7.7 stock and tested on friends 10.1 stock, but I hope to get my hands on 10.1 for longer time (maybe next week) and try different firmwares.
CM9 not available for 7.7 unfortunately. But good to know that gestures are registered on ICS, so I think I can make it fully functional.

Same issue for me with AOKP, gesture text shows up but nothing happens.. I think there is great potential with this, your work is much appreciated!
Really nice. But like the other, it shows the gesture, but nothing happens (CM9)
Would be awesome, like an iPad, 4 fingers swipe to change between recent apps

[MOD][Xposed] S-View Music Controls [2.5: Spotify support]

Requires Xposed framework!
The S-View cover is really handy, it displays the date, time, your notifications, allows you to answer calls and dismiss alarms, and shows your currently playing song. The last part only works with the stock music player, and doesn't allow interactions.
This mod allows you to display metadata from and control the following players:
Stock Samsung Music Player
PowerAMP
Google Play Music
Spotify
Limited support for any music player that supports metachanged intent and media buttons
Swiping left or right allows you to change the current song, long pressing the screen for a configurable time allows you to toggle playback.
Most variables are configurable in settings. To access settings, open Xposed Installer, find the module and click on it, I didn't want to add another icon to the launcher, it got cluttered by enough Xposed modules doing that already...

Changelog:
[2.6]
Fixed swipe not working for default player when Swipe only while playing is checked.
[2.5]
Added copyright info to settings.
[2.4]
Added Spotify support.
Added warnings if Xposed-related problems are detected.
Added launcher icon for people who were asking why this has no icon. It can be disabled in settings.
Changed default music player to one everyone has: Samsung's.
Long press now enabled by default.
Added debug mode, enabling this makes TTS speak what the app is detecting.
[2.3]
Added option to enable swipe gestures only while playing music.
[2.2]
Stock music player control support.
Paid version on Play Store. Below is the same exact free version for xda users, please don't share it.
[2.1]
Rewrote long press implementation, old one had a lot of bugs.
Fixed placeholder album art not showing for Poweramp songs.
You won't see this: worked on base foundation for ticker support. This would soon allow apps to hook onto this to display their own scrolling text. This text will show up where the title is, scroll once, then the original text will be shown (current song or otherwise).
[2.0]
Google Play Music support.
Skip tracks in other players by swiping left/right, metadata won't be shown.
Fixed swipes only working on the clock, and not the actual song text.
Show placeholders when no album art is found.
[1.1]
Support basic gestures to change songs.
[1.0]
Initial release.
Nice mod yo

Would it be possible to get Air Gesture and Voice Control working with a non-stock music player? Is all that stuff coded directly into the Music Player or the Framework? Could it be modded to just send general "Next Track" commands etc?

This is useless on devices without the S View cover so I don't know why you're trying to install it.

Ah, sorry my mistake. That happens when following links and not reading OP
I was looking for an app thet would display Poweramp data on a swipe of the clock (did not register Sview requirement and gesture control not swipe control) because I don't like Poweramp screenlock replacement. Do you think you could make it more universal that way? To be controlled not only by gestures but actual touch too? BTW, is Sview required. because there are replacement utilities for Sview for other phones?

The Note 2's clock? You mean the one on the ripple lockscreen?
I can't do it right now, I traded my Note 2 for an S4 so it'd be hard to do it right now.
However, it shouldn't be hard for any developer to do this, the source for my mod is out, it's a matter of copying and pasting, but the dev needs to hook the right TextView.
Any chance of support for Google play music?

I guess you're swiping a bit low, swipe on the clock.
This'll be fixed in the next version. Along with press and hold to toggle playback.
I'll see about Play Music support, I don't use it as it mixes up album art and doesn't support ALAC.

[App] [Alpha] QuickCamera | Moto X-like camera launch gesture

What is QuickCamera?
QuickCamera is a free and open source application that lets you quickly launch the camera app (normally or from the lock screen) with a simple gesture that involves twisting your wrist twice, quickly. It's the same gesture that's used to launch the camera app on the Moto X. Pull out your phone, perform the gesture and the camera app will be ready to take wonderful photos. No need to wake the phone or press any buttons.
Why did I make this?
I am a big fan of Moto X's gesture controls and I really liked the gesture to launch the camera from anywhere, by twisting your wrist quickly 2 times. It's really handy, but unfortunately not available to other devices, so I decided to replicate the feature and bring it to all Android devices. It involved weeks of experimentation, but I finally have a working alpha version ready.

Alpha 2 has been pushed, will go live in few hours and you will receive an update via Play Store. I have attached the APK in OP also. Oh, and I forgot to mention: You can access the debugging settings by pressing volume down button 3 times in the app.
Awesome, it is! :good: :good: :good:
Well, you have given the source, but I,m still asking, can i implement it in my ROM as an inbuilt feature?

You can do anything you like, as long as you follow the license (GPL v2)
Wow... Great stuff.. I mean.. Really great!!! Neo V running 4.4 works flawlessly.. Only one thing. I cant seem to find any settings. I'd like to change the time between the twists because IMO its too long.. (Even after 5-6 seconds it would activate.)

Open the app, press volume down button 3 times, the debug settings will open. You cannot change the time between twists, but you can tweak one value which affects the twists in a certain way (X-axis threshold).
Is it possible to add the vibration that the Moto X does when the camera opens?

Works on the note 3 but it seems to have trouble bypassing the lock screen and seems too sensitive. I assume changing the axis threshold would help with that?

Yes, try experimenting with values from 0 to 10. 5 works for me on my HTC One.
Thank you for this app.
I could not get it to work on my rooted Note 2 running Kitkat 4.4.2 (IOAP ROM) w/AGNI kernel
I tried to change axis threshold values between 0 to 10 and none worked.
Also, how do you exit the app after turning it on ? I have to use the home button to get out.

You can close it from multitasking menu.

Get HomeTouch from Playstore
HomeTouch is a tool that help fingerprint sensor to work for you beyond its original authentication function. It transforms the little used fingerprint sensor into a powerful controlling touch point.
HomeTouch enables touching fingerprint sensor to control your phone. It can replace your Home button, or Back button, Screen Off button, Recent Apps button. It can also pull down notification bar and quick setting drawer from the top of the screen. For light version, you can pick one of the above functions. Sound and vibration feed back upon touching is selectable.
For Pro version : It provides you with PRO short touch and long touch actions - thus give you more comfort and increase your efficiency using your phone. Besides performing one of the above functions, it allows turning on the camera, taking a screen shot, and especially toggle HomeTouch's control desk from any screen to perform most of your daily activities: adjust ring and media volume, screen brightness, display time-out, open calendar, calculator, telephone, sms, mail, browser, set alarms, open previous applications, screen rotation locks, toggle flash light, launch any custom application or open any custom document. It can even control media player.
Moreover, long touch can also be used to switch applications just as using Alt+Tab in Windows. Switching back and forth between recent applications has never been so easy with this one-touch concept implemented in HomeTouch.
With HomeTouch, your fingerprint sensor becomes much more valuable and useful !
Note:
- Please read HomeTouch description in Playstore for more information before installing/using HomeTouch
- Latest new release version 2.1 is just launched recently
- Initially HomeTouch is made for Samsung phone, but now it can also work on a number of other phones besides Samsung.
Great working good on Note 4,and yes its selectable.
Rated 5 stars
Thank Sibinn
It's great to hear that HomeTouch also works on Note 4. Let me know if any issues.

hi. how will this affect battery? it's working on galaxy s6 btw
Hi n3loki
It consumes little battery, less than 1% daily provided that you don't open it settings inteface too often.
Regards,
HomeTouchDev
Working great on my s7 edge. The fact that the turn off screen works without the need for root access and also does not mess with my screen timeout is all I need. Just bought the pro key so I can hide the notification. Great job on this wonderful app for samsung galaxy devices! :good:
Nice apps. Need more features.
Thank you
Your comment encourages me a lot Thank you so much.

HomeTouch has some interesting features in the PRO version. I especially recomment the quick control desk feature, which I will extend more functionalities. My preference is: short touch to navigate to home, long touch to toggle control desk.

thank you. tested it today with my full day of usage and the impact on battery is really not noticeable, barely anything at all. this is a great workaround for people like me who don't like to press the home button. awesome work
Still working great after 2 weeks of use. I would like to suggest that the control desk get a dark theme. Thanks
Great
Hi daring0,

Hi All
V1.4 of HomeTouch has been up with lots of new features and a dark theme for control desk, hope you like it.
Link are here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codelavie.tryspass
NOTE: V1.4 also support NON Samsung mobile phones, provided that they run Android 6 and above.
All the very best,
HomeTouchDev
Just updated mine to the latest version. I Like that we can now choose which color theme we can use ( yey dark theme! ) and navigate to home screen responds faster upon tapping the fingerprint scanner. Great job! :good:
Must be back button support.
Hi,
I appreciate your comments very much.
Short touch action takes shortest delay if there is no long touch action set.
Back action will be included in next update. I have been wondering if anyone requests it, now there is.
HomeTouchDev
I bought this app with back button support expectation.
Great!
Great job! Far better than EasyHome that stops working all the time.
But unfortunately, I did not find at exceptions a process/app that could add to keep
fingerprint working on samsung pass over Internet Browser for example. Add Samsung Pass App
did not work. In Easy Home app, I used sucessfully the "Android" process for this task.
Any sugestion to deal with this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Hi rogeriofosky,
In Exceptions, we can tick several apps, and when one of them become the foreground app, HomeTouch should stop accessing the finger print sensor. For example, if you tick Browser, then when you open Browser, HomeTouch should let that Browser to use the fingerprint sensor.
The other way to do this is the 3' exception Button: first you open the Browser, then make a long touch to show the Control Desk, and tap the 3' button on that Control Desk, it will ask for your confirmation to except the Browser for 3 minutes. In that 3 minutes, if you open Browser again, it will leave the finger print sensor for the Browser to use. Have you tried this ? it is working ? Please let me know also your mobile phone model and the particular app that you want to exclude if HomeTouch is not working like described above.
Thanks,
HomeTouchDev

Wake up screen home button
What i would like to see is an app that wakes up/ unlocks my Note 5 screen when is turned off. And that doesn't effect the battery that much, like 5-6 percent all day usage. Thnx
Thats not possible anymore unfortunately.
Works great but itd be nice to have a quick toggle to turn this function on or off easily without having to open the app as it interferes with fingerprint verification. I see the blacklist option but I haven't been able to get that option to work, and I tried multiple apps that required verification.
Thanks for pointing that out. Found the bug. will be fixed in next release. Uploading soon.
No blacklist needed for that
I'll definitely keep an eye for the update, I went ahead and got pro cause I really like this app VS other similar ones as there are more options.. And I think having blacklist is better than having to need to toggle on and off
How different is it from the app finger touch
It is way way slower than fingertouch service app.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
I like this a lot more than the other one, no burst of vibration on even half a second touch.
One down side is vibration is not consistant, sometimes I get a single vibration and other times dont get vibration at all, which I much prefer.
Nice work nevertheless.
This works great thanks, can i ask you what icon pack you are using in the above picture, your setup looks great, many thanks
Uploaded easyHome v3.11

Depends, if you use long press actions it surely waits shortly. But if you activate speed mode its instantly.

You dont even need to blacklist in new version. You can authenticate in browser or similar and after this easyHome will kick in again automatically.

easyHome was created over 1,5 jears ago. It has gained lots of features and functionality over this time and works pretty flawless currently.
You can use long press actions, haptic feedback, blacklist apps and authenticate in browser or similar without problems.
So far the new update seems to be alot better, I haven't been able to go through all of the verification needed apps to make sure but my most important ones are working.
I personally like this app over fingertouch because of the hold to launch an action, and also having the feedback option to be able to discern when a proper action was attempted or not, is a big plus for me. Maybe not haptic feedback but having sound feedback is nice for doing the long command.
Fingertouch works great too. Having a nougat quick tile is nice for when things aren't working properly. But although any tap on the sensor will go to home, since it uses your setup fingerprint signature for a reference in some way, if the finger your using isn't one setup in your system it will vibrate like a failed fingerprint attempt. I only have (1) thumbprint setup for verification in my phone but I don't always use that setup thumb to tap to go home. So I was constantly getting an error vibration and it threw me off. Also with fingertouch, you have to toggle on and off when needing to use fingerprint verification since it doesn't have a feature that will allow you to do both actions at the same time.
Yes, but i have to buy it... Other app is free and does the same.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Basic funtions are also free here plus you get a blacklist option.
And 1,49€ for the full version is really not too much i hope.
Fingetouch is a great app too. You luckily have the choice on android
Yes, they are. It is a good app. I don't know why, but today it restarted my s7 edge for 2 times. Never had a restart in a year by phone itself. I uninstalled it and it is ok. :/

Using easyHome since i created it and never had a reboot so far...
Yeah, dont know what happened. Maybe some conflict in processes. Your app is great. Cheers.

I've been using this app very heavily the last two days as I'm off of work for a short period. Once I installed the update in the OP , I noticed that the only real issue I've had at all, is sometimes if I enter into either the Google app or Chrome but on e I enter those programs easyhome no longer works, it shows it running in the notifications but untill I turn my screen off and right back on, the easy home function doesn't work.. I don't have that problem at all if I try to enter in samsung Internet beta.. Only really an issue when using GA, otherwise I use samsung net.
I had another little hiccup trying to verify a purchase on Google play but I'd imagine that the nature of the beast when turning the senor into a capacitive button. I went to purchase an app and it immediately prompted me to use my worded password cause fingerprint wasn't available at that time. I closed easyhome and then I was able to use my print.
I recently started using easyhome and a double tap to wake app to save my ADD button presses and i really like both
When I open folder from home screen, start an app within folder, and touch home button, this takes the screen back to the folder, not back to the home screen.
UPDATE
Samething when I repeat the above procedure, from app drawer folder instead.
Just wondering, is this intended?
