Wake up screen home button
What i would like to see is an app that wakes up/ unlocks my Note 5 screen when is turned off. And that doesn't effect the battery that much, like 5-6 percent all day usage. Thnx

Thats not possible anymore unfortunately.

Works great but itd be nice to have a quick toggle to turn this function on or off easily without having to open the app as it interferes with fingerprint verification. I see the blacklist option but I haven't been able to get that option to work, and I tried multiple apps that required verification.

Thanks for pointing that out. Found the bug. will be fixed in next release. Uploading soon.
No blacklist needed for that

I'll definitely keep an eye for the update, I went ahead and got pro cause I really like this app VS other similar ones as there are more options.. And I think having blacklist is better than having to need to toggle on and off

How different is it from the app finger touch

It is way way slower than fingertouch service app.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I like this a lot more than the other one, no burst of vibration on even half a second touch.
One down side is vibration is not consistant, sometimes I get a single vibration and other times dont get vibration at all, which I much prefer.
Nice work nevertheless.

This works great thanks, can i ask you what icon pack you are using in the above picture, your setup looks great, many thanks

Uploaded easyHome v3.11
- Fixed: Fingerprint authentication in browser or other apps
- Stability improvements
- Fixes & optimizations

Depends, if you use long press actions it surely waits shortly. But if you activate speed mode its instantly.

You dont even need to blacklist in new version. You can authenticate in browser or similar and after this easyHome will kick in again automatically.

easyHome was created over 1,5 jears ago. It has gained lots of features and functionality over this time and works pretty flawless currently.
You can use long press actions, haptic feedback, blacklist apps and authenticate in browser or similar without problems.

So far the new update seems to be alot better, I haven't been able to go through all of the verification needed apps to make sure but my most important ones are working.
I personally like this app over fingertouch because of the hold to launch an action, and also having the feedback option to be able to discern when a proper action was attempted or not, is a big plus for me. Maybe not haptic feedback but having sound feedback is nice for doing the long command.
Fingertouch works great too. Having a nougat quick tile is nice for when things aren't working properly. But although any tap on the sensor will go to home, since it uses your setup fingerprint signature for a reference in some way, if the finger your using isn't one setup in your system it will vibrate like a failed fingerprint attempt. I only have (1) thumbprint setup for verification in my phone but I don't always use that setup thumb to tap to go home. So I was constantly getting an error vibration and it threw me off. Also with fingertouch, you have to toggle on and off when needing to use fingerprint verification since it doesn't have a feature that will allow you to do both actions at the same time.

Yes, but i have to buy it... Other app is free and does the same.

Basic funtions are also free here plus you get a blacklist option.
And 1,49€ for the full version is really not too much i hope.
Fingetouch is a great app too. You luckily have the choice on android

Yes, they are. It is a good app. I don't know why, but today it restarted my s7 edge for 2 times. Never had a restart in a year by phone itself. I uninstalled it and it is ok. :/

Using easyHome since i created it and never had a reboot so far...

Yeah, dont know what happened. Maybe some conflict in processes. Your app is great. Cheers.

I've been using this app very heavily the last two days as I'm off of work for a short period. Once I installed the update in the OP , I noticed that the only real issue I've had at all, is sometimes if I enter into either the Google app or Chrome but on e I enter those programs easyhome no longer works, it shows it running in the notifications but untill I turn my screen off and right back on, the easy home function doesn't work.. I don't have that problem at all if I try to enter in samsung Internet beta.. Only really an issue when using GA, otherwise I use samsung net.
I had another little hiccup trying to verify a purchase on Google play but I'd imagine that the nature of the beast when turning the senor into a capacitive button. I went to purchase an app and it immediately prompted me to use my worded password cause fingerprint wasn't available at that time. I closed easyhome and then I was able to use my print.
I recently started using easyhome and a double tap to wake app to save my ADD button presses and i really like both

When I open folder from home screen, start an app within folder, and touch home button, this takes the screen back to the folder, not back to the home screen.
UPDATE
Samething when I repeat the above procedure, from app drawer folder instead.
Just wondering, is this intended?

I searched and I don't think this has been posted before
Here is an app that works great, it does have some bugs but i'm sure the DEVs will fix them with new updates.

We designed GOTO to give you access to the information you care about without slowing you down.
Numbers appear over the notification icons in the navigation bar at the bottom so you know when there's something new.
Simply slide the thumb icon under the notification icon to preview and release to jump right to the application. If there's nothing new you can slide the thumb icon all the way to the right to unlock."

I agree...I actually thought that's what they were going to do with the old 2.0 launcher being that it had other unfilled circles....that one's great...just a bit too stylized for my taste...doesn't really match stock Android...unless it can be themed.
I'm stuck in a force close loop with this damn thing. It kept foce closing on me when I installed it, so I thought a reboot might clear things. When I did, I get the lock screen, but if I take any action with it, I'm stuck in a force close loop.
its not a very smart app, but if more work is put into it, it will be much better
it works fine with me, but it doesnt have any settings
when im on the lock screen, and i press the home button, it goes directly to home without needing to slide to unlock
At least you can refund in the android market place. FC-looping For The Lose
its working fine for me
Theres quite a few lock screens on the market that i like including this one but they all have the same problem it unlocks your phone when you press the home key which makes them pointless for me. It looks cool tho
Can someone who has installed it test and see if/how it works with a lock pattern?
TIA.
I probably would've installed it if it had three things:
Stability
Actually locking your phone so the home-key doesn't work
Themed like stock 2.2
As it is now it's pretty useless in my opinion.
Fyi, I've been in contact with the developer, he's stated that he doesn't want to start supporting multiple roms, but if someone with Cyanogen is having force close issues, he'd be willing to look at a log to see if there's anything that can be tweaked to work with Cyan's rom. If you're getting force closes, could you forward a log to him?
Can't find it on the market. I tried the barcode, too. I'm using CM 6.0.0-RC1 and I am from Germany.
No lockscreen app will ever be worth my time IMO, they all have issues. Only one worth a damn ever has been an actual lock screen replacement.
Actually not bad, will try when it gets some update
It has been updated to 1.15 apparently with more preferences and customizations. Does anyone know exactly what the new preferences are?

Hmm, that's warez right? You better ensure it's not against the rules..
In any case, I just bought it because it looks real cool. However there are quite a few bugs in this.
If the screen turns off during an app like a browser and you unlock the screen, it should go back to the browser. However, if you then try to exit the browser with the back button, it will go back to the Goto lockscreen, resulting in an endless loop with browser and lockscreen. This is a really bad bug. The only way out is to manually take out the battery to restart the phone. The way around is to enable the home button as that would bring you to the home screen instead of the browser.
Currently the developer is looking at this but still no updates...
Another bug is the camera/volume button cannot be disabled in my case. Pressing the volume buttons will wake the screen whether they are disabled or not.
There are a few other minor bugs but these 2 are major ones that's preventing it from being perfect.
Still I love the slider and 3 animated icons. Hopefully the dev will fix it up.

i dont know whatever it warez or not, just i've found it online and tested, it works well then my contribution without any self-profit, i even can't see it on the market so definitely no clue that it is paid app or not, if someone confirm this. i'll delete it immediately dude.

Hello xda members! I have just created an app called Prox that enables you to do certain actions based on swipes across the proximity sensor of your phone. There are loadouts and actions that you can set yourself. Things you can currently do with Prox:
*Launch application
*Expand notification bar
*Emulate home button
*Send a Toast
*Toggle ringer mode (ring, vibrate, silent)
Many more actions are planned for later versions of Prox!
I am a very active developer and will be updating this as much as possible. I already have a pretty awesome update schedule with a lot of new features in mind so be on the lookout here and in the market.
Because this is kinda hard to explain, I have made a YouTube video of it in action (forgive my video editing skills )
And, here is the market link if you so choose to download:
Download
Please let me know what else you would like to see in future versions of this awesome concept
EDIT:
I have decided to do a very lightweight version of the app as a free version for those of you who are wary to buy an app not knowing what it does. I plan on having it here and in the market within the week. This app will be a one time build only and won't even scratch the surface of what Prox can really do. But, it will give you a feeling of how it might work with a lot of options.
Prox Lite
I have already finished the Lite version of the app. It's already up in the Android market and you can get it here:
Download
This is a VERY limited demo version of the app and it gives you an idea of what it feels like to control your phone without touching it. Prox Lite has only 2 gestures: Flat to launch the home activity, and toward to expand and contract the notification panel. There are 5 actions in Prox Pro and there are also Loadouts than the user can customize. You can't customize anything in the Lite version and you have no control over global settings. It may seem rather limited, but it does give you an idea of what launching an app might feel like.
The Lite version will probably never be updated (I might if I get more actions that I am willing to give up). I have a lot of things in the works for Prox Pro so if you like the feeling of controlling your phone with the force (haha) then go ahead and pick up the pro version and get a lot of cool updates
This seems really fun. I personally don't have much use for it, but it is a very neat idea and looks like you've done a good job with it so far.
Here are the URLs for people who'd rather click than copy/paste:

@dismaljester Thanks for the links dude

The only problem with a free version is that this app is designed to be invisible. Once you set up your loadouts, then coming back into the app would be completely unnecessary because you can do everything related to Prox while you aren't in the app.
I might release a trial version or something to get more people looking at it though
Yea a trial version with 1-2 options/settings would be great.

I should have thought of this while developing the app. I'll probably have to start from scratch and do a lot of copy paste type stuff to get the trial one out.
I think that's probably the best thing to do because a lot of people are wary of paying for an app from a developer they don't really know. Or an app they have never heard of...

This sounds really cool. Have you considered submitting it to the Amazon Appstore?
Can't reply to replies with links in them yet. So @Nooter, what is the difference in selling them in either store? Are there pros and cons to each one. I just don't see the point in listing it in 2 places when all android phone owners already have the market downloaded.
will the toggle ringer mode silence the phone while its ringing?
You should make one for reject/silence call. I'd love that one paired w/ flat while its on my desk at work.
If it rings I can just wave over it to silence/reject with minimal effort

Toggle ringer mode just sets it to ring, vibrate, and silent for your ringtones and notifications...
That is an interesting idea. The only reason something like that won't work is because if the phone is in your pocket, the proximity sensor already detects something blocking it. I can enable this setting, but if you have it enabled and the phone is in your pocket, then it will always silence it...
Plus, Prox is disabled for incoming calls to let android take care of turning off the screen. You don't want to be launching apps and such while talking on your phone
oh also, hows the effect on battery life with this running the sensor all the time?
maybe add a 'time-out' setting for account for pocketing? Aka if the proximity sensor is trigger for a user defined period, 15 sec, 30 sec, etc which would occcur when inside a pocket prox turns off gestures until the sensor is uncovered again for 30+ seconds. that would solve the pocket silence problem No idea if any of that is possible, its just what I'm thinking id use lol.

That would deal with wake locks, which would seriously take a big chunk out of your battery. Currently, Prox only uses around a single percent of battery for a whole day of usage. I want to keep it that way
I would love to try this out, but 15 minutes with it is just not long enough.
Please soon as you release a Trial version rename title at the end "NEW TRIAL VERSION AVAILABLE"

I asked for something like this months ago bought pro immediately you ate the best person in the entire world. Amy change you can trigger the vibrate from one of the other buttons Suu the same time so it feels exactly like the cap buttons (with an option to toggle on off of course) also wondering does the screen turn off out does it just display a black image wondering about battery effect (but it could use half my battery I would not care.
Once again your amazing!
Is there any way to get this working with the fingerprint scanner? I can't use samsung pay or unlock with my fingerprint while using this.
Really great app Dev! Bought the pro version! I am really enjoying the functionality while the screen is on yet being able to keep the finger print scanner working when I turn the phone on. I know its probably not possible but if this was working with the s pen that would be extra awesome. Thanks again
Hey Jawomo, it's not working on my Galaxy Alpha.
App works great on my note 5. One problem I noted is that long press actually launches Google search. When launching the same with long touch Google search opens and closes immediately

Vibration feedback would be cool if possible in a home button touch ....thank you again
Great app, but if I long press home button to launch google now, when I release the home button the phone returns on the home screen. You should implement something like "if home button is pressed then don't do anything".
Any info about battery drain caused by always active fingerprint scanner?
Going to buy pro!
I want to know about battery drain too.

Method to Make Raise to Wake up (like) feature on Samsung S7 and other android phones

Today , I am gonna share my personal experience with S7.
When I first use S7 , I missed the "Tap on Fingerprint to unlock" feature of Huawei Mate 7 , also the feature of "Double tap to sleep" of my LG G2.
After some research I found the easiest way to combine the feature from Mate 7 and G2.
So here we go:
step 1: Download the application named "KinScreen" from playstore.
step 2: Download the luncher named "Arrow Launcher" from playstore.
step 3: install luncher and set it as default luncher, open it and enable "Double tap screen to lock" (as shown as picture below), it will ask for device administrator permission just allow it.

step 4: open KinScreen app and set it as following picture (if not set by default)
step 5: Now to lock your phone just double tap on your home screen .
step 6: To unlock your phone just hover on your proximaty sensor (if you put your phone in pocket then when you take out from your pocket then it will automatically turn on.. Isn't it awesome.
step 7: Best benifit, If you enabled the Fingerprint unlock on your phone , then when you take out from your pocket then screen will be automatically turn on , so you just have to tap on the home button, no need to press. These features are very good for Home button and Power button safety. Thank you guys for reading this post. And sorry for bad english
Hi,
Else, there is Nova Launcher app which do the same thing, with only one app
And in settings you'll find an option to wake up the phone just hovering your hand over the proximity sensor
Without using third part apps

I tried what you said, but it's not as useful as using "KinScreen" app. Because it will automatically turn on your phone after take out from pocket which is very convenient for me. Not like built in app which will only work, if you put your phone on flat surface and not fast as Kinscreen app.

I already tried Nova before, and I had seen double tap to sleep option, but no proximity uncover to screen on features available there. So you have to use KinScreen along with that luncher as well.

There is a much much much easier way to do this without any third party app. Just go to settings, accesability settings and find the option to wake the phone using proximity sensor (by hovering your hand over it). That way you have the same results as with your way, but you can set it up in under a minute without any extra apps/works.

Yes, that is what I meant. I am using it and I am totally satisfied with it. I love using standard Touchwiz launcher, other third party launcher make my phone feel "cheap" and like it is some other less good phone.

I am happy for you that option makes you satisfied, but for me no... I used above mentioned method because when I take out my phone from my pocket it will automatically turned on, without hovering the proximity sensor, but if I use your method then I have to take out my mobile from my pocket, put it in some flat surface and hover the proximity sensor, it's time consuming. But if I use my method then Phone will be automatically turn on, and I can place my finger on home button to unlock without pressing the button. You just give a shot may be you love what I suggest you ????

Get HomeTouch from Playstore
HomeTouch is a tool that help fingerprint sensor to work for you beyond its original authentication function. It transforms the little used fingerprint sensor into a powerful controlling touch point.
HomeTouch enables touching fingerprint sensor to control your phone. It can replace your Home button, or Back button, Screen Off button, Recent Apps button. It can also pull down notification bar and quick setting drawer from the top of the screen. For light version, you can pick one of the above functions. Sound and vibration feed back upon touching is selectable.
For Pro version : It provides you with PRO short touch and long touch actions - thus give you more comfort and increase your efficiency using your phone. Besides performing one of the above functions, it allows turning on the camera, taking a screen shot, and especially toggle HomeTouch's control desk from any screen to perform most of your daily activities: adjust ring and media volume, screen brightness, display time-out, open calendar, calculator, telephone, sms, mail, browser, set alarms, open previous applications, screen rotation locks, toggle flash light, launch any custom application or open any custom document. It can even control media player.
Moreover, long touch can also be used to switch applications just as using Alt+Tab in Windows. Switching back and forth between recent applications has never been so easy with this one-touch concept implemented in HomeTouch.
With HomeTouch, your fingerprint sensor becomes much more valuable and useful !
Note:
- Please read HomeTouch description in Playstore for more information before installing/using HomeTouch
- Latest new release version 2.1 is just launched recently
- Initially HomeTouch is made for Samsung phone, but now it can also work on a number of other phones besides Samsung.

hi. how will this affect battery? it's working on galaxy s6 btw
Hi n3loki
It consumes little battery, less than 1% daily provided that you don't open it settings inteface too often.

HomeTouchDev
Working great on my s7 edge. The fact that the turn off screen works without the need for root access and also does not mess with my screen timeout is all I need. Just bought the pro key so I can hide the notification. Great job on this wonderful app for samsung galaxy devices! :good:
Nice apps. Need more features.
Thank you
Your comment encourages me a lot Thank you so much.

HomeTouch has some interesting features in the PRO version. I especially recomment the quick control desk feature, which I will extend more functionalities. My preference is: short touch to navigate to home, long touch to toggle control desk.

thank you. tested it today with my full day of usage and the impact on battery is really not noticeable, barely anything at all. this is a great workaround for people like me who don't like to press the home button. awesome work
Still working great after 2 weeks of use. I would like to suggest that the control desk get a dark theme. Thanks
Great
Hi daring0,

Hi All
V1.4 of HomeTouch has been up with lots of new features and a dark theme for control desk, hope you like it.
Link are here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codelavie.tryspass
NOTE: V1.4 also support NON Samsung mobile phones, provided that they run Android 6 and above.
All the very best,
HomeTouchDev
Just updated mine to the latest version. I Like that we can now choose which color theme we can use ( yey dark theme! ) and navigate to home screen responds faster upon tapping the fingerprint scanner. Great job! :good:
Must be back button support.
Hi,
I appreciate your comments very much.
Short touch action takes shortest delay if there is no long touch action set.
Back action will be included in next update. I have been wondering if anyone requests it, now there is.
HomeTouchDev
I bought this app with back button support expectation.
Great!
Great job! Far better than EasyHome that stops working all the time.
But unfortunately, I did not find at exceptions a process/app that could add to keep
fingerprint working on samsung pass over Internet Browser for example. Add Samsung Pass App
did not work. In Easy Home app, I used sucessfully the "Android" process for this task.
Any sugestion to deal with this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Hi rogeriofosky,
In Exceptions, we can tick several apps, and when one of them become the foreground app, HomeTouch should stop accessing the finger print sensor. For example, if you tick Browser, then when you open Browser, HomeTouch should let that Browser to use the fingerprint sensor.
The other way to do this is the 3' exception Button: first you open the Browser, then make a long touch to show the Control Desk, and tap the 3' button on that Control Desk, it will ask for your confirmation to except the Browser for 3 minutes. In that 3 minutes, if you open Browser again, it will leave the finger print sensor for the Browser to use. Have you tried this ? it is working ? Please let me know also your mobile phone model and the particular app that you want to exclude if HomeTouch is not working like described above.
Thanks,
HomeTouchDev
