HTC Sensetion has a Li-Ion 1520 mAh battery, it probaby will work with DHD ? And + 2.3 andorid - it think it would be a great solution.
What do u think, will it worth ?
It was just announced, so looks like we'll have to wait and see. Engadget have a hands on video where they take off the back. From the looks of the battery, I don't think it'll work, I could be wrong though.
it will not work, it has bigger dimensions than the desire hd battery :-( S U htc
The phone has different dimensions, even the screen if I understand the specs correctly, so the battery will be different too.
Anyway, wait for users of this phone to complain about battery drain, with a 20% faster processor, 3D transitions etc

Even if you hook a car battery to the phone there will still be users that will complain about the battery life. It's the human nature. For me one day is enough. You can always charge during the night
can anyone confirm if this battery is legit and does it work for DHD

It says DISCONTINUED at the top right of the page.
Also, search this Accessories subforum for Mugen, there is talk of a 1500mah battery coming out at the end of this month. (actually it's at the top left of Mobile Fun's page).
And DON'T buy a "high-capacity" battery off e-bay!!!
the 1500 mah is alredy getting bad reviews...so i guess we r stuck with the stock 1230 mah..

Did you read the posts in the thread, or just the title?
It seems there is a pre-production run which was sold, and from what I have read in that thread, there IS a noticeable difference.
Wich other solution can we have ? Is the Mugen Power 1300mAh better than the HTC one ?
<sorry for my bad english>

Where did you see this? I saw the 1500 mah, only two reviews one said it helped, the other said that they saw no difference between it and a stock battery.
Quick fix? Custom rom and new radio!

To make your extended battery work right you need to calibrate it. Also there's tons of tips on how to use li-ion battery properly. Some users just don't know that and this is why they get bad battery performance.

hey guys.
i have got a sensation xe, i bought it because of the headphones and the better battery. i thought, a better battery and underclocking the processor will give me a very good battery life. i bought it about 3 month ago.
but now, i have a very very bad battery life. no matters what rom or what kernel i am using, even undervoltage doesn't help. i wiped battery stats lots of times...
i'm on newest 3.33 firmware.
i really don't know, why battery life is so bad.
maybe my battery is bricked?!

do you have the stock HTC battery? whats the mAh of the battery when it is fully charged?
You might want to try a long lasting battery like Anker! It's made a huge difference for me! Get the new battery and adjust your settings to optimize your battery life. You will see what a difference that will make! It works well for me!! Best of luck!

yes, i have stock sensation xe battery.
i think its 1780 mah
i thought about buying the anker battery.
Hi there, I'm wondering which battery are most people using? There are so many available ! I've tried chichitec, Anker, stock battery, now mugen. I'm curious which battery do you all prefer? Thanks for participating.
All opinions are welcome!

Anker 1900 it's enough for me, no problems with it.

Anker 1900 also works well for me... Using it for about a year now!
Im using the anker 1900 and the "GOLD" generic 2450 battery. They both preform the same. The gold one was only about 6 dollars? so im not that mad that it doesn't last longer than my anker
Anker
I switched to the Anker battery a few months ago. Definitely benefiting from the extra juice, I can't imagine how I'd feel about the stock battery anymore.

Haha true, Anker is much cheaper and much better. Who in htc made stupid decision to put that weak battery to Sensation?

i use mugen, i didnt like the anker because of the lack of a temp module which was a deal breaker for me. using the mugen for a year now, zero problems and amazing battery life. well worth the premium. if you can invest in a decent phone, invest in a decent battery and not some cheap stuff.
Sometimes cheap doesn't mean bad To be honest i didn't even heard about mugen hah maybe i'll try it.
Edit: which one are you using? 1950 or 3800?

I just bought the Anker. It's a bit better than my old stock battery, but I'm mildly unimpressed. I'm considering buying a power skin or a mugen. I hate charging my phone all the time.

I was using Anker also I'm trying mugen now.I'm using the big boy 3600 if you can get passed the thickness of the phone, the battery had been amazing !i did order one of those new backs with better signal and they're sending for free! So far mugen has been the best battery I've ever used. Battery drain was my biggest issue, now it seems my problem is solved with mugen.

If for no other reason than to have better battery life, get an Anker for dirt cheap. But for your usage, sounds like there's no need. Also, you'll have a spare battery. I just got this phone a little under six months ago, so I'll be keeping it for the next year or two until it's rendered completely obsolete. So having another battery is nice, yes.

For me yes its worth buying a new extended battery. I'm on payment plans for the sensation and it will be awhile before its paid off . AT only 20 dollars A Month it could take Awhile. What I usually do is buy my devices on payment plans then when they are paid off I start all over again with a new device. I know next device will be android of course but don't know what it will be. But for the time being I'm going to care for my sensation and get the best user experience possible out of it. Battery drain was making my life miserable so I did something about it and got a mugen battery. It solved my issues now I can enjoy my device again, so YES it's worth it to me! I still have time left with this device , might as well make it a better experience! Worth every penny!

I almost posted this Problem but i habe a new Problem. My Problem was, that the Anker battery i recieved only has 1580 mAh. I controlled it with more than One app from the market. Now i wrote to the company, where i bought it(amazon at Laptopmate Germany). The told me that i will recieve a new One. I recieved it today and it has got 1580 mAh too-.-
I Know it firstly must calibrate, but with this, it dont change the capacity..
Whar should i Do?
I already wrote to them again and i must wait for an anwer till tomorrow..

The battery really is 1900 mAh, but you cannot use the sensation to measure its capacity - the battery driver is seriously flawed and will give you rubbish figures, no matter which 'app' you use.
If you want to test the capacity then you'll have to make a rig with a known resistive value and time a drop in voltage, you could then calculate the capacity of the battery - but its a lot of work...
Also, the quoted battery capacity is a theoretical value, you'll never get to use all of it due to the way Li-ion cells work.

Don't worry man. If you wanted to see it's capacity with some software it can't be done. I have noticed that Battery monitor widget recognises new batteries as 1580 mah, but it doesn't mean anything. Your batter's fine
Oh okay.
Then i habe got 2 ankers for the price of One Now
But is there any simple way, to Check capicity?

There are probably two possibilities:
Use the stock battery, charge to 100% and notice how long it stays alive.
In Settings -> Power -> Accu Usage you´ll find a statistic about the powerdrain and the actual ontime.
After some charge cycles change to the anker and redo the steps. Then you will have an approximate result on how long your battery extend your batterylife.
The second approach is to touch the batterycontacts by your tounge. The harder the pain, the much higher it´s capacity
I´ve got the Anker for about 2 or 3 month and replace it sometimes with the stock. I´d say it stays alive for about 30% longer. (~2 Days 17 Hours)
My Problem is, i did the First method and the Anker isnt better.
My battery stays about 15 hours with Not more than 3 hours screen on. With both batterys.

Your problem is either your phone or the ROM, I get at least double that performance from the same anker battery.
The anker is only 20% greater capacity than the standard battery, that won't make much difference to your poor battery life. Do some searching to reduce your power consumption and getting your phone to sleep properly - if you are still on stock or ROM with wakelock issues then those are your most likely causes.

Me too! You sound exactly like me! I went through everything before I finally found this battery! I'm really happy now with the Mugen. It seems to be a true extended life battery. But you have to sacrifice the thin phone for it. It will make phone thicker but that didn't matter to much to me because of the excellent battery life. I guess it's a give and take. Battery life makes up for it for me but some people would never have it due to the thickness. It just depends on what you want. For me I was after battery life so I'm very happy. I got used to the thickness in about a week. If you don't mind the thickness give it a try! You won't be disappointed. The extra back they provide could be made better but the battery itself is really amazing! Your situation sounds exactly like mine so I think if you get the 3800mah you will be very pleased. As long as the thickness doesn't bother you. I do wish you the best and hope you get your battery issues solved soon! Good luck!

If battery that you want is not available in your ebay you can always buy it at foreign one and have it shipped to you. Still the costs can be ridicullus and shipping time irritating. Also what Razi said is true.

I've heard mugen makes a 1800 mah battery has anyone gotten one of these, if so does it fit well and does it last as long as it claims.

Hello, my battery is charging incredible slow.
I have been using my first battery for about 1 year. Then i got spare battery as 'sorry' from Htc Repair Service, because they din't fix falling of display at first.
So i used my first battery for 1 year, then put it in shelf, charged to 2/3 of capacity.
Then i started using second battery - Genuine One from service.
It's 1 year from then. Battery is charging incredible slowly. I also tried changing charger for 2AMP (tablet, genuine nexus 7), but it didn't help at all.
What can be problem ? I also tried cleaning charging port, didn't help.
I put my phone on charger this morning with 15%. Now it's 4 hours later, and battery has only 80%.
