Solution for battery with Sensation's battery ? - Desire HD Accessories

HTC Sensetion has a Li-Ion 1520 mAh battery, it probaby will work with DHD ? And + 2.3 andorid - it think it would be a great solution.
What do u think, will it worth ?

It was just announced, so looks like we'll have to wait and see. Engadget have a hands on video where they take off the back. From the looks of the battery, I don't think it'll work, I could be wrong though.

it will not work, it has bigger dimensions than the desire hd battery :-( S U htc

The phone has different dimensions, even the screen if I understand the specs correctly, so the battery will be different too.
Anyway, wait for users of this phone to complain about battery drain, with a 20% faster processor, 3D transitions etc

Even if you hook a car battery to the phone there will still be users that will complain about the battery life. It's the human nature. For me one day is enough. You can always charge during the night

can anyone confirm if this battery is legit and does it work for DHD

It says DISCONTINUED at the top right of the page.
Also, search this Accessories subforum for Mugen, there is talk of a 1500mah battery coming out at the end of this month. (actually it's at the top left of Mobile Fun's page).
And DON'T buy a "high-capacity" battery off e-bay!!!

the 1500 mah is alredy getting bad reviews...so i guess we r stuck with the stock 1230 mah..

Did you read the posts in the thread, or just the title?
It seems there is a pre-production run which was sold, and from what I have read in that thread, there IS a noticeable difference.

Wich other solution can we have ? Is the Mugen Power 1300mAh better than the HTC one ?
<sorry for my bad english>

the site below shows another mugen battery, a 1800 mah variant, did anyone get one of those? is it actually better?

i send an email to htc to ask if i cant put the battery of sensation to my hd. they answer me this:
Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Center.
With regards to your inquiry,
Please note that the device have their own specifications and HTC is developing the accessories according to this specifications.

If you change them you might have the problem of malfunction and any issues related to this might classify your device as Out OfWarranty.

Where did you see this? I saw the 1500 mah, only two reviews one said it helped, the other said that they saw no difference between it and a stock battery.
Quick fix? Custom rom and new radio!

To make your extended battery work right you need to calibrate it. Also there's tons of tips on how to use li-ion battery properly. Some users just don't know that and this is why they get bad battery performance.

Extended Battery?

Does anyone know if HTC will create an extended battey for this phone?
Hardly. Case is solid, there's no space for it.
I found this 1800mAh one. It is not made by HTC but it should support Desire S.

doesnt look reliable.. but its mugen whi makes that battery. dont buy from tha website, go to the official mugen website.
are you having problems with the battery life for desire s?
experience says 3rd party batteries doesn't do justice... eventhough they have a higher rating, they perform more poorly than the orginal lower rated battery.
My battery seems pretty weak, one day of moderate usage, and it was gone, a little bit of everything, wi-fi (no more than 1 hour all day long), games, calls, camera, browsing through the menus, aprox 40-50% backlight only slightly above my average use...
how long should it keep the phone running for?
can't find reliable info on this, too few people have this device, I hope the comunity gets bigger

2.there is one movable charger in markey
any ideea if there is an extended battery for the phone connector? for sos when you remain without battery and desparate need the phone
it will be good to upgrade the battery..very fast one to drain up.

I use this one as an emergency battery pack. Can highly recommend it. There are cheaper ones out there, but they usually break or don't meet the claims of their capacity...

that's because it probably isn't as good as the original battery. it's from ebay and the fact that it's painted gold just makes it even more hard to believe.

HTC desire extended battery

This is an age old topic I know, but was browsing the HTC sensation and sgs 2 forums.
When reading I can across an extended battery making called anker, reviews have been very positive for both phones.
Anyway to cut the story short I emailed anker and they do an extended battery for the HTC desire they provided me with link on amazon.
The title says for inspire and desire hd.
Here's the link

My brother is using my desire now, it's already 1,5years old.
So I'm thinking of getting a new battery for it, maybe this is something?
Too bad Anker doesn't have a Desire battery.. I ordered anker for my Sensation, I'm curious if it will perform better than stock.

I agree! Unfortunately it just looks too.... wrong! Granted it might be great for people who can't charge often but I find my phone lasts at a minimum one day with normal usage and possibly 2 if I forget to charge it and don't use it much other than texting and say 30 mins of calls.
You would also need a modified case for it as well and I definitely need one of those as I seem to have a problem with dropping expensive things and my desire has been saved a few times from chips / bumps! by using a rubber case holder!
Is there any external battery for Desire which seemlesly blends with the phone like some iPhone external battery, which looks like a normal silicon cover?

I doubt it very much but in the end it would probably just be easier to get a second battery and pop the cover and swap it out its not that hard but I guess you have to carry it around with you
I would like to warn you for some of these (cheap) batteries. I got one from ebay for one of my previous phones (nokia) and the battery just melted when charging. My phone was ok, but I don't think it was a very safe/healthy situation
cant post the link, but you can search on ebay
2450mAh HIGH Capacity Gold BUSINESS Replacement Battery for HTC DESIRE
no need for an extended back
Do you have experiences with the gold 2450mAh battery?
Does it really lasts longer then stock battery?
You can save your money, I bought this 1600mAh battery but even after 5 cycles and batt stats wipe it's just ****.
It just performs @75% of the stock battery.
Good for spare, but reusing the stock battery now..
http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/1600-MA...3&hash=item2a0f0220f0&clk_rvr_id=295377745471
Yes I get a lot longer out of the extended gold battery, but I'm running the Runnymede 3.0.4 AIO rom and that suffers from heavy battery drain but this battery lasts all day now, I just need a wall charger and a second battery and I'm all good
I only believe in original batteries

I have one of those. Some apps or the OS see it as 780mAh, I didn't do much testing to find the real truth, but the actual battery is smaller in size than the stock one (maybe 1350-1500 max), has a cheaper and stupider controller (no voltage, no temperature) and it will decay faster than an original SANYO battery (it will be worse than your current battery is now in about a year with similar usage).
Ask yourself, what would you want to have in your pocket when your main battery discharges completely:
- 5 euro banknote
- 5 euro replacement battery with at least half charge
You get what you pay for.
Cameron Sino 2400mAh..with a bit of kernel tweaks, it lasts 1.5 days...good enough for my needs.
I guess you all need to check this review. It's a hands-on review with a lot of data on how much time Mugen 3200mAh battery adds etc.
In my opinion only original or Mugen batteries
i think the original battery is the best battery i had an battery from ebay from Polarcell the battery was terrible its not good has anyone a good alternative battery found

Hi, somebody know when it will release the new HTC Sensation 4G overclocked to 1.5Ghz with the 1920 mah battery?

Well I still have the whack ass stock 1520mah battery... I have read postings on batteries the stock batteries tend to run hot... Where as the Anker and other aftermarket batteries tend not to get as hot... As far as the Sensation your probally talking about the Sensation XE... it will be 1.5ghz but ive heard it was only a 1700mah battery and will come with beats audio... Like people said we already have phones performing at 1.5ghz and get a aftermarket battery for way cheaper
does anyone know HOW they are runnign at 1.5? kernel?

Evo3d battery for UK sensation users

yesterday i came accross this website call Mobilefun.com

since i was thinking of getting a original htc battery for my htc sensation.

but the thing that suprised me that i ordered the battery yesterday around 11 in the morning and i recieved the battery at 12.
here is some picture of the box and packaging.
i made this thread so anyone is looking for htc evo3d batteryu for thier senation and dont want to pay £32. then i suggest you order your battery from this website beside the delivery is very quick.
some picture of the box and accessories i recieved today.
and try this rebate code and you will get a free mobile cleaning cloth

no just because i got the battery the battery isn't fully optimized but yesterday i fully charged my battery than i took it off from charger and turned the brightness fully up, turn the wifi, gps, bluetooth on and start playing shadowgun and my battery lasted nearly 3 hours
the real time was 2hour 39 min
wheras my orighinal htc optimize battery lasts me
1hour 55min
my normal usage on original battery is 14-15 hours. but after 5-8 full charge and fully killing the battery i will let you know my normal usage.
hm..
On my standard battery (1520 mah) it's working about 9-12 hours. Today I will buy evo3d battery.
Do you think it can work 20 hours after charging on this battery?
But I think this is gut idea to buy this battery, isn't it?

anker battery claims that they have 1900mah of power but nobody know what's the real mah. beside htc 1730mah is guaranteed 1730. because they cannot advertise wrong but since anker is 3rd party you can be guaranteed with them. beside i would rather buy a offical htc battery rather then 3rd because you can guarnteeill work
but that was my point of view but if you think anker is better than legit company batteries than go with it. because its up to you to decide what to choose.

Problems with Anker Battery-.-

I almost posted this Problem but i habe a new Problem. My Problem was, that the Anker battery i recieved only has 1580 mAh. I controlled it with more than One app from the market. Now i wrote to the company, where i bought it(amazon at Laptopmate Germany). The told me that i will recieve a new One. I recieved it today and it has got 1580 mAh too-.-
I Know it firstly must calibrate, but with this, it dont change the capacity..

but i bought it, because other users here told, that its good.

it try to contact anker now. maybe they can help me..
The battery really is 1900 mAh, but you cannot use the sensation to measure its capacity - the battery driver is seriously flawed and will give you rubbish figures, no matter which 'app' you use.
If you want to test the capacity then you'll have to make a rig with a known resistive value and time a drop in voltage, you could then calculate the capacity of the battery - but its a lot of work...
Also, the quoted battery capacity is a theoretical value, you'll never get to use all of it due to the way Li-ion cells work.

Don't worry man. If you wanted to see it's capacity with some software it can't be done. I have noticed that Battery monitor widget recognises new batteries as 1580 mah, but it doesn't mean anything. Your batter's fine

Then i habe got 2 ankers for the price of One Now

There are probably two possibilities:
Use the stock battery, charge to 100% and notice how long it stays alive.
In Settings -> Power -> Accu Usage you´ll find a statistic about the powerdrain and the actual ontime.
After some charge cycles change to the anker and redo the steps. Then you will have an approximate result on how long your battery extend your batterylife.
The second approach is to touch the batterycontacts by your tounge. The harder the pain, the much higher it´s capacity
I´ve got the Anker for about 2 or 3 month and replace it sometimes with the stock. I´d say it stays alive for about 30% longer. (~2 Days 17 Hours)
My Problem is, i did the First method and the Anker isnt better.
My battery stays about 15 hours with Not more than 3 hours screen on. With both batterys.

Your problem is either your phone or the ROM, I get at least double that performance from the same anker battery.
The anker is only 20% greater capacity than the standard battery, that won't make much difference to your poor battery life. Do some searching to reduce your power consumption and getting your phone to sleep properly - if you are still on stock or ROM with wakelock issues then those are your most likely causes.

Me too! You sound exactly like me! I went through everything before I finally found this battery! I'm really happy now with the Mugen. It seems to be a true extended life battery. But you have to sacrifice the thin phone for it. It will make phone thicker but that didn't matter to much to me because of the excellent battery life. I guess it's a give and take. Battery life makes up for it for me but some people would never have it due to the thickness. It just depends on what you want. For me I was after battery life so I'm very happy. I got used to the thickness in about a week. If you don't mind the thickness give it a try! You won't be disappointed. The extra back they provide could be made better but the battery itself is really amazing! Your situation sounds exactly like mine so I think if you get the 3800mah you will be very pleased. As long as the thickness doesn't bother you. I do wish you the best and hope you get your battery issues solved soon! Good luck!
