Hi there, I'm wondering which battery are most people using? There are so many available ! I've tried chichitec, Anker, stock battery, now mugen. I'm curious which battery do you all prefer? Thanks for participating.
All opinions are welcome!

Anker 1900 it's enough for me, no problems with it.

Anker 1900 also works well for me... Using it for about a year now!
Im using the anker 1900 and the "GOLD" generic 2450 battery. They both preform the same. The gold one was only about 6 dollars? so im not that mad that it doesn't last longer than my anker
Anker
I switched to the Anker battery a few months ago. Definitely benefiting from the extra juice, I can't imagine how I'd feel about the stock battery anymore.

Haha true, Anker is much cheaper and much better. Who in htc made stupid decision to put that weak battery to Sensation?

i use mugen, i didnt like the anker because of the lack of a temp module which was a deal breaker for me. using the mugen for a year now, zero problems and amazing battery life. well worth the premium. if you can invest in a decent phone, invest in a decent battery and not some cheap stuff.
Sometimes cheap doesn't mean bad To be honest i didn't even heard about mugen hah maybe i'll try it.
Edit: which one are you using? 1950 or 3800?

I just bought the Anker. It's a bit better than my old stock battery, but I'm mildly unimpressed. I'm considering buying a power skin or a mugen. I hate charging my phone all the time.

I was using Anker also I'm trying mugen now.I'm using the big boy 3600 if you can get passed the thickness of the phone, the battery had been amazing !i did order one of those new backs with better signal and they're sending for free! So far mugen has been the best battery I've ever used. Battery drain was my biggest issue, now it seems my problem is solved with mugen.

it`s more powerfull than htc sensation stock battery
Is it really worth buying a new battery now that the Sensation is over a year old? I get a days worth of use out of the stock battery on CM10.

If for no other reason than to have better battery life, get an Anker for dirt cheap. But for your usage, sounds like there's no need. Also, you'll have a spare battery. I just got this phone a little under six months ago, so I'll be keeping it for the next year or two until it's rendered completely obsolete. So having another battery is nice, yes.

Anker 1900
Anker 1900 for me, gives me more than enough Juice, dirt cheap too.
I use stock battery and a evo3d stock battery... So far, the evo3d stock battery works great for me for now

For me yes its worth buying a new extended battery. I'm on payment plans for the sensation and it will be awhile before its paid off . AT only 20 dollars A Month it could take Awhile. What I usually do is buy my devices on payment plans then when they are paid off I start all over again with a new device. I know next device will be android of course but don't know what it will be. But for the time being I'm going to care for my sensation and get the best user experience possible out of it. Battery drain was making my life miserable so I did something about it and got a mugen battery. It solved my issues now I can enjoy my device again, so YES it's worth it to me! I still have time left with this device , might as well make it a better experience! Worth every penny!

So I've been lurking on this site, trying to figure things out and I just can't do it. This is my first smartphone so I'm new to this. From my understanding you can reprogram your phones for better use. I'd like a reliable program that increases battery usage because I do not have good battery life as is. Can someone please give me the run-down on how to do this? Thank you in advance.
first you will need to s-off your phone the root it and root it all these things you will find in the development section.

Here's a battery tip most of us do to get better battery life. We ditch the stock battery and buy a long lasting battery like anker or mugen. I'm running anker right now and its really helped. Finally I broke down and ordered a mugen. It's fairly expensive compared to anker but hopefully the mugen will prove to be even better. These long lasting batteries will give you much better results than the stock battery. As for rooting , you will love the freedom and customization available after you root! Your device truly becomes your own. If you don't like something you can simply change it when rooted. It's well worth the effort. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Can you post a link to what battery your talking about please? or pm me a link
Go to amazon, search for 'HTC Sensation battery' buy the twin pack Anker that comes with a deskcharger.
Use the deskcharger to charge one battery while the other is in the phone, when the phone gets to 5% battery swap them over, then repeat for a couple of years until the batteries need replacing.
If you decide to go for a custom ROM then a 'sense-less' version will double your battery life (in most cases).
You can also try mugen battery, just depending on what you want to spend. I finally broke down and got a mugen for myself. It should arrive soon. I'm hoping it's even better than anker! Look at both mugen and anker then make your choice. You can get both on amazon.com. anker is about 20 bucks while mugen is about 80 dollars. I cannot say yet if it's worth the cost because mine hasn't arrived yet but I know my anker has made a great difference!

So I just cracked the screen of my sensation because I'm an idiot. Is there a way to replace the screen, if so can someone show me a link to what is needed?
So I'm trying to S-OFF my phone and it's not working. I got the terminal Emulator and I type in "SU" and it says not found. I'm stuck at this part and it's pretty frustrating. I appreciate any help. It's a HTC Sensation under T-mobile if that means anything.

Hi,
I am not sure which guide you are following, but have a look at THIS ONE
Im asking you guys whats the best way to calibrate you're battery cuss I bought a new battery and it still dies fast plus when I restart my phone the battery will be a different percent every time I can't stand it anymore
I tryed wiping battery status still nothing I also tryed a battery calibrate app still nothing
What's else can I do?
Hi, I just bought a mugen3500mah battery and mugen says charge it to 100% then run it way down but they say not to zero because the battery can go into a deep sleep mode and might not recover, they say after its ran way down put it on charge for 12 hours even if it says 100% and repeat this process 4-5 times and the battery is then calibrated. This is what mugen Advised. Hope this helps. Best wishes

Hi oh yes this battery is absolutely amazing! I just can't believe the battery life I get out of it! Two hours heavy use and still at 100%! 19 hours heavy use and still at 42%! If I would have known how great this battery is I would have got it a lot sooner! Before I got the mugen 3500mah I was using Anker . It was better than stock but I still did not have the battery life I wanted. Let me be honest with you. It all depends on the type of battery you get. Yes of course calibration gives you the maximum efficiency of the battery however if the battery is not a very good battery , even with calibration , you won't see the longevity your looking for. I had to save up to get this mugen because I'm not a rich person and 100 dollars is a lot to spend on a battery, but honestly it was worth every penny. I've had no trouble with the replacement back interfering with signal. I still get 4g as strong as ever, I get WiFi ,perfectly , my navigation works perfectly too .if you really want some good long battery life and its important to you, I suggest you get a mugen3500mah. Make sure it's the 3500 because I've tried the mugen 1900 because it was cheaper and still didn't get the battery life I wanted until I went with the 3500 mugen. It solved my battery issues completely! I can finally say I'm happy with my battery! So I highly recommend this battery. It takes about two weeks to arrive. But do only order it from mugen because of All the counterfeit batteries going around on other sites. They just put a sticker over the real battery making you think you purchased a extended life battery. I really hope this helps you. I know it solved my battery issues. Best wishes to you!

Naaaaw not a brick, but it is thicker. But to be honest I'm used to it already. Still fits in the pocket and feels good in the hand. It doesn't look too bad but really battery life is what I'm after and its not a beauty contest so the thicker phone doesn't bother me a bit. I no longer worry about battery life and my problems are solved so I'd say it's worth it! If your a heavy user like I am it's a God send! It is the solution to battery issues .

Hello,
I'm getting very terrible battery drain. It is fine when on standby. Ranges from about -3ma to about -20ma. But when in use it does sometimes like -500ma. I've just wiped battery stats and did a full discharge and recharge up to 100% without touching it. I'm using an Anker 1900mah battery. Kernel: Brick v1.4 Rom: Elegancia Sense 4 Hboot: 11.2

You can purchase a new extended battery.it SOLVED my problem with battery drain! Just make sure you get your battery from a reputable dealer. Too many counterfeits out their. I personally bought a mugen 3600 with new better signal back. Back includes antennas for good signal. I got mine from mugen, I can now use my battery ALL day and night without issue! I had tried EVERYTHING in the past to stop my battery drain, not much joy UNTIL, I got my new battery! I tried different kernels, settings , applications, but still had a issue UNTIL I finally replaced my battery! Now my problems are gone! The mugen is expensive but with this battery its really worth it! If you can't afford mugen try Anker. It's a whole lot less and still gives extended battery. It won't last as long as the mugen 3600mah but it sure will help with extended battery life!
The drain was my main issue!! After I changed batteries it was SOLVED! Don't buy off eBay , you can buy Anker off amazon, or mugen from mugen site. If you try all tips and tricks and still have your issue like I did. Changing batteries is the way to go. I can not stress enough how much it helped me! My battery drain was extensive! But now I'm using my device HEAVILY and can go well into my 20th hour with about 40% left at the end of 20 hours. That's a huge and significant difference for me. Before I could barely go three hours before charge! It's changed everything for the better for me! You really might consider investing in one for yourself! I don't regret it for a second! I really think it will help solve your issues. Once you get your settings correct, try all the power saving tricks. If still no joy, get one of these batteries! It will change everything for you! Especially the big boy, the mugen 3600! You won't worry about battery life again! And you won't regret your purchase! It will not disappoint! Best wishes to you and I really hope you consider my advice. I do really think it will help. I know it SOLVED my battery issue. Good luck! Remember to purchase from a reputable dealer to prevent counterfeit! If not the mugen, try the Anker. It will help. However if you can I highly recommend the mugen 3600 !its truly been amazing battery! They improved the back so no need to worry about signal! It's strong as ever with there new back. It does make your phone a bit thicker but for this battery life I'll take a thicker phone any day! You won't be disappointed!

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. But I bought the Anker from the seller on Ebay. That Anker have on their site. Plus I'm not willing to spend 100 dollars on a Mugen battery. It may make a difference but it makes the phone a lot thicker.
Thanks,
Lachy

Hi, I too get massive battery drain recently! I bought an Anker battery same as you from Amazon and contacted the seller, they are sending me a replacement so I will post back in this thread when I get it and do a few drains on it. I have had bad drain on CM10, AOKP M6, ViperS and CM9.
I'be been using Anker for more than a year and never had any problems with it. Imo there's a problem with yours, so yeah replacing it with new one should help, because Anker is a reaaalllyy nice battery

Had same problem, extensive battery drain for no visible reason whatsoever then i found a post on android central about Sensation and EVO 3D/4G having battery problem while switched to automatic network mode, both 2G and 3G, setting it manualy up to 3G only solved this issue for me, now Anker 1900 lasts about 2 and half day on standby. This did the job by me, so no guarantee that it will work by you, but its worth a try imho. Good luck
Alright.
Hey, thanks for the replies, what do I say If I want a replacement? I've gotten one before but only cause it was completely dead and not working/charging at all. So what do I say this time?
Thanks,
Lachy
Have you tried changing kernels? Or slightly under volting? It could help.

I basically said it was giving me false readings and it was impossible to know how much battery I had. I also said I used a bus app which used mobile tickets and before my battery lasted all day but now I have to turn it off to make sure I have enough battery to show my ticket. All of that is true btw, the seller I emailed on Amazon were pretty helpful, hope you have similar luck.

Yes. I've changed kernels to bricked. I used the recommended badass governor.

Alright. Will do. So if I say something like this. They should send me a replacement?
Hey,
I've recently been having a few problems with my anker battery, it's been losing a lot of charge while doing nothing. Just being on standby. It is also using a lot of charge while not even using it much. Most of the time it is only on about 45 percent by the end of the day with very light usage.
Is it possible I could get a replacement?
Thanks,
Lachy.
Something like that would work right? One quick question. When I get it I charge it up first then 4 discharge/recharge cycles right? Fastest way to do that?
Thanks,
Lachy
Yes and when you get your new battery you can drain it faster by watching video , playing games, pretty much any activity that's going to drain battery. Then charge to 100% without a break. Then do it
Again. Now that said, on my battery when I got it new it had calibration instructions, it said After discharge charge for full 12-14 hours even if it said full charge. This was part of the calibration technique.I'm pretty sure it would hold true for ALL batteries so after your discharge cycle you might want to charge uninterrupted for the 12-14 hour cycle then drain again and repeat 4-5 times. This was the instruction that came with my battery.(mugen) You might want to consider giving it a try and making sure the uninterrupted charge is At least 12 hours. Hope this helps and hope everything works out well for you. Best wishes.

Alright. I emailed them saying what I said in my previous post. Lets just hope I get a replacement. When I get my new battery I charge it to 100% then discharge or just start discharging?
Thanks,
Lachy
As I understand it, charge to 100 first then discharge, this is subjective. This was what the directions told me to do so I'm assuming it's correct procedure, although I've heard of others simply draining it from the start without charge. I would think the battery company knew what they are talking about so I'd go with charging to full first then discharge. I did this with my own battery and its worked out well. Best of luck to you! Enjoy your new battery!

You can also try a better extended battery. I was having same problem but got a better battery now my issue is solved. I got a extended 3800mah battery from mugen but if that's too big try Anker. Both are great batteries .I now get two days out of one charge . It's made a huge difference for me. You can find both batteries online. Anker is a whole lot less money and a thinner battery. But if you are a heavy user you might want to consider the bigger batteries. If you don't need that much juice go with Anker. Hope this helps.I know it solved my battery drain problem.best wishes!

use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641605 and undervolt it to ~100mV or ~75mV
it makes a lot of differ in bricked kernel
thank me n the develeper if it helps u
I had the same issue on stock battery ( using vipers ). I had to charge it even two times a day. Could not watch a one hour video on YouTube (while brightness is set to max). Then bought anker 1900mah battery and my phone resurrected ! After whole day using battery still at 50&40 at midnight. I watch the whole episode of a tv serie on YouTube (almost two hours) and battery is still at 50&60 ! (ViperS 1.3.5) . When on standby battery drains one percent after almost three hours.
It's strange that you're having problems with anker.. maybe your battery have some problems..
Or you can change to ViperS just to experience if battery drain issue is still.

Hallo! Do i have to calibrate phone battery after each rom update? Thank you for help
I almost posted this Problem but i habe a new Problem. My Problem was, that the Anker battery i recieved only has 1580 mAh. I controlled it with more than One app from the market. Now i wrote to the company, where i bought it(amazon at Laptopmate Germany). The told me that i will recieve a new One. I recieved it today and it has got 1580 mAh too-.-
I Know it firstly must calibrate, but with this, it dont change the capacity..
Whar should i Do?
I already wrote to them again and i must wait for an anwer till tomorrow..

yeah, i know...
but i bought it, because other users here told, that its good.
they've got 1900 mah...
it try to contact anker now. maybe they can help me..
The battery really is 1900 mAh, but you cannot use the sensation to measure its capacity - the battery driver is seriously flawed and will give you rubbish figures, no matter which 'app' you use.
If you want to test the capacity then you'll have to make a rig with a known resistive value and time a drop in voltage, you could then calculate the capacity of the battery - but its a lot of work...
Also, the quoted battery capacity is a theoretical value, you'll never get to use all of it due to the way Li-ion cells work.

Don't worry man. If you wanted to see it's capacity with some software it can't be done. I have noticed that Battery monitor widget recognises new batteries as 1580 mah, but it doesn't mean anything. Your batter's fine
Oh okay.
Then i habe got 2 ankers for the price of One Now
But is there any simple way, to Check capicity?

There are probably two possibilities:
Use the stock battery, charge to 100% and notice how long it stays alive.
In Settings -> Power -> Accu Usage you´ll find a statistic about the powerdrain and the actual ontime.
After some charge cycles change to the anker and redo the steps. Then you will have an approximate result on how long your battery extend your batterylife.
The second approach is to touch the batterycontacts by your tounge. The harder the pain, the much higher it´s capacity
I´ve got the Anker for about 2 or 3 month and replace it sometimes with the stock. I´d say it stays alive for about 30% longer. (~2 Days 17 Hours)
My Problem is, i did the First method and the Anker isnt better.
My battery stays about 15 hours with Not more than 3 hours screen on. With both batterys.

Your problem is either your phone or the ROM, I get at least double that performance from the same anker battery.
The anker is only 20% greater capacity than the standard battery, that won't make much difference to your poor battery life. Do some searching to reduce your power consumption and getting your phone to sleep properly - if you are still on stock or ROM with wakelock issues then those are your most likely causes.

Yeah, i thought so too, But i tested nearly Every Rom and Kernel...

Me too! You sound exactly like me! I went through everything before I finally found this battery! I'm really happy now with the Mugen. It seems to be a true extended life battery. But you have to sacrifice the thin phone for it. It will make phone thicker but that didn't matter to much to me because of the excellent battery life. I guess it's a give and take. Battery life makes up for it for me but some people would never have it due to the thickness. It just depends on what you want. For me I was after battery life so I'm very happy. I got used to the thickness in about a week. If you don't mind the thickness give it a try! You won't be disappointed. The extra back they provide could be made better but the battery itself is really amazing! Your situation sounds exactly like mine so I think if you get the 3800mah you will be very pleased. As long as the thickness doesn't bother you. I do wish you the best and hope you get your battery issues solved soon! Good luck!

Mugen is definately not cheaper than Anker. I would go for an Anker, but you might also consider underclocking/volting.
I would suggest wiping battery stats with cwmr to see if it solves the battery issue before buying a new battery
If it is then a battery issue, then go for an Anker battery as they are good quality batteries over the cheap Chinese ones...

Just putting it out there, wiping battery stats does absolutely nothing.
