The earphones will definitely work....but the mic MAY give problems...though it should work fine as it is compatible with Galaxy S.

Galaxy S i9000 and Galaxy R i9103 are not wired headset compatible. There are two standars for the connections in the jack plug, OMTP and CTIA. Galaxy R is CTIA. Also iPhone btw. If you use the wrong headset you won't head anything good, just a distorted signal, and probably that is not good for the amp.

BUT I've seen googling around that actually the EHS64AVFWE is being sold in some places for the i9000 and, in others is advertised as being compatible with the Galaxy S3 i9300, which also follows CTIA.

Yes it works
I know its a bit late to reply here, but in case if someone else need an answer to this...
The EHS64AVFWE headset comes with Galaxy Note which has built in mic with 3 buttons: send/receive, volume up and volume down.
I purchased this headset recently for my Galaxy R and I can confirm that it works 100%

Hi,
Hope it's not a very late reply.

And one of the best as well. It was in one of the original ipods. I think the 4th Gen, and it is an amazing DAC. Google it. Lots of love for it.
With voodoo control, the sound is stunning from this phone with good headphones.
I can vouch for this on my epic. Even the stock earbuds sound great. I'm using a pair of high end Sony buds and the sound is amazing. Also, the recorder is top notch too. With hi-q mp3 recorder and the recording setting set to loud environment, I went to a live show and the sound from the video was pretty decent l. I was right next to the guant speakers.

I guess you are still talking about the Wolfson DAC present on the sgs1 and the previous samsung nexus...
But what about the sound quality on this Nexus??
Seems to be, it doesnt have neither the Wolfson nor the Yamaha DAC...
Anyone?

[Q] Using the system dump can anyone confirm if the Skyrocket has the Wolfson DAC

Using the system dump can anyone confirm if the Skyrocket variant has the Wolfson or Yamaha DAC?
I know the SGS S II has the Yamaha, but given the different chipset in the Skyrocket variant I'm hoping they used the Wolfson DAC. The Wolfson website states that a version on the SII uses their DAC, so I've got my fingers crossed.
If it does i bet supercurio will port voodoo sound.
Thanks in advance.
On the Tmobile gs2 forum it has been confirmed that it doesn't have the Wolfson and the skyrocket is similar

I know your probably right. But I want to have it confirmed by a developer using the system dump or a tear down.
I'm basing my hope on the Wolfson website stating that a version of the SII uses their DAC, and that no previous versions of the SII have been found to have the Wolfson DAC.
Yes I was hoping too. i'm looking for where I saw it.I'll reply the link

Satisfying audio output
The Samsung I9103 Galaxy R did quite well in our audio quality test. The Tegra 2-packing smartphone wasn't particularly loud, but it was almost as clean as we have seen them come.
Finally Audio test that i want ..

Is the xperia have a better amp than samsung galaxy s

Has anybody had a better experience with headphones on an amp better than the samsung vibrant or any cell phone with the headphones as a benefit? Is there anything better than the vibrant galaxy?

I think that Sony's Xperia phones have much better headphones than any other brands I could try, with deep and clear basses, good mediums, and minimal sound distortion. I think Sony's headphones are also more comfortable and isolate from outside noise better. Their Walkman application is actually quite good.

If you're talking about the DAC, there's nothing better than the Wolfson DAC in the Exynos chipset on the Galaxy S and Galaxy S3 i9300/i9305 (not the S2).

Galaxy S2 with ICS Neat Rom is quite good.
S2 is suitable
samsung galaxy siii mini
I second the S2. large volume means a pretty good market and it meets all your specs. It's also pretty mainstream, so good active development too.
Nexus 4
Buy Nexus 4 :fingers-crossed:
